welcome back tom skilling is everyone's favorite guide on a day like this ... people are wondering if this is the end of the hot weather ... we may spike into the 80 degree area for the next couple of

weeks but history has warned us that it is not over yet ... this will be the first day that fails to reach 80 degrees in the city in nearly four weeks it's a gorgeous day outside the heat is contracted it is still blazing across texas and there are lots of storms firing up in the plains states fortunately we are not under it right now. we have coal comfortable temperatures right now ... the sunlight is 12% weaker than back in june when it was at peak intensity we're losing just over 60 minutes of daylight since then as we approach the autumn

season. we will have more heat at some point but we will enjoy the cool weather for now unlike our friends in texas who are set in all kinds of records for consecutive triple digit temperatures ... it was cool overnight we had low 50 degree temperatures in the upper midwest. the measure of moisture in the air is at 51% that gives us a low relative humidity. here's a look at the low temperatures that this air mass produced overnight we were in
