thousands of people took part in the 33rd annual ron santo walk to cure diabetes, walking to 014

suburbs and in downstate peoria. inside this year they walked in memory of the man who worked tirelessly to raise money for appear. with nothing the ron santo walk to cure diabetes went down chicago's lakefront for the 33rd year. >> back here to prove their ronde legacy lives on and will continue to live on for a long long time. it's different this year because it is the first year that ron is not a part of it. >> he joined his siblings around chicago area, my dad was one of those guys that anyone would come up to and say i have diabetes i got a year ago or my brother has it, he took time to just sit with them and talk to and that's the kind of person he was so we're going to continue to be out here and support him and continue.
