illinois was evacuated this morning after an explosive like freight train derailment ... the 112 car train also had tanker cars loaded with highly flammable methanol. the train derailed at 2:00 a.m. and the town of 800 about 150 mi. west of chicago. no injuries were reported in the fires were reported under control by 8:30 a.m. emergency responders from seven surrounding communities were at the scene joining us we have a report from w q a d television ... many people were evacuated several made their way to a local high school where the red cross set up an emergency shelter 10 mi. north of town. these evacuees were given breakfast and lunch and a place to rest something many of them
