police investigation continues. this morning tina anderson was watching her boyfriend's 13 year-old son and six year-old grandson when things went horribly wrong at his home and the 1700 block of west steuben and morgan park, she heard the gun go off and found marchand shot and the chest he was taken to advocate crest medical center in oak lawn in critical condition, anderson said the gun belongs to the boy's grandfather and it was not locked up. anderson and six is 13 year-old uncle returned to the home questions as to whether the shooting was an accident, marchand told him from his

hospital bed that the 13 year- old pulled the trigger. police continue to piece together what happened in the family is grateful. they say more sean came out of surgery doing well and is expected to survive. the family says the boy's grandfather who was not at home at the time of the shooting is still being questioned by investigators at area to police headquarters as of yet no charges have been filed. d c s is also investigating this case and we are told the department had prior contact with this family for an allegation of abuse back in november 20005.
