ran a red light and smashed into an unmarked police car this afternoon, the officers rushed to the hospital with moderate injuries. the officers were driving westbound when the driver heading south and ran a red light into the officer's car, police are holding that driver in custody and charges are pending. chicago police shot and killed a man following a foot chase in the marcus park neighborhood they reported hearing gunfire just after midnight near 72nd street and campbell avenue moving in to investigate they found michael in the backyard holding a gun. when they told him to drop the gun he ran down an alley, when he turned and pointed the gun towards them that is when officers opened fire, the shooting is under investigation. down to the wire in iowa where
