an incredibly busy day for jim ramsey ... >>i would like to mention something i found out a few minutes ago ... when the snow began to fall the temperature was above freezing so there was a level of water and ice on the roadways ... so there are some hazards out there and there have been traffic accidents having said this let's go to the time lapse ... the snow began this morning at 9 or 10:00 it has accumulated in some of the suburbs yorkville came in with just over 2 in. of snow thus far ... 1.4 in. at midway about a half-inch at o'hare ... a winter storm warning has been issued for several counties ... this is

in effect until 9:00 tomorrow morning now we see potential accumulations of five-10 in. depending where you are in the area ... the temperatures will continue to fall throughout this afternoon by tomorrow morning we could see the wind chill numbers into the low single digits. the wind will howl by this afternoon ... we are well away from lake michigan with the wind chill and it's very uncomfortable along the lakeshore in the downtown area ... the storm will pullout fairly quickly friday and we will get another burst on saturday with minimal accumulation >>looking at the radar the snow
