appeared to show an *un-injured* zimmerman. but an ehanced version reveals what appears to be an injury on the back of zimmerman's head... and may give credibility to his story. private forensic company... at the request of a-b-c- news. a small airplane fell from the sky near orlando yesterday-- crashing into a shopping center and injuring several people. the crash sent terrified shoppers running out of the mall. witnesses reported the plane showing signs of trouble before it came crashing down. the pilot and a passenger were treated for third-degree burns while three people inside the store were also badly burned. initial reports said a mechanical problem caused the crash. the f-a-a is investigating. a search and rescue mission continues today for three people missing in new mexico. two soldiers and a woman went on a kayacking trip over the weekend, and never returned. the soldiers are stationed at fort bliss, texas, and were last seen on saturday. the woman was reported missing on monday. their s-u-v was found yesterday, and authorities didn't notice anything suspicious. u-s authorities and

counterterrorism officials are trying to figure out if there's any significance to some threatening postings on websites linked to al qaeda. one posting included a graphic some fear could be an attack threat directed at new york city. the graphic contained a picture of the manhattan skyline superimposed with a caption that says: "al qaeda - coming soon again in new york." the joint terrorism task force is investigating whether the posting is authentic ... but the f-b-i says there's no specific or credible threat to new york right now. it's another primary election day for republican presidential candidates. frontrunner mitt romney is looking to stretch his lead in the delegate count ... with victories in wisconsin maryland and washington d-c. conservative candidate rick santorum is hoping to win enough votes to keep the race close heading into the primary later this month in his home state of pennsylvania. romney is expected to win all three of today's primaries. but political analysts say the margin of victory will be important to romney's effort to clinch the nomination. president obama is getting some help from a former president in his re-election bid.

bill clinton will appear with president obama at a fundraiser later this month. it'll be held in virginia .... at the home of former democratic national committee chairman terrry mcauliffe. president obama and mr. clinton are scheduleed to hold three joint fundraisers during the campaign. interest in the 1940 u.s. census paralyzed the national archive website yesterday. the site registered 22-million hits in just four hours. the virtual traffic jam began as soon as the records were released. yesterday's release marks the first time those records were made public-- after 72 years of confidentiality. the records provide a snap-shot of america in the midst of the great depression. 21-million people who provided personal information in that census are still living. coming up next we have the day's top business stories and everything you want to know about "pin-terest" ... and later

the nationally known "howard brown health center" is paying back more than 700-thousand dollard in federal money. the settlement comes after officials at the uptown-based clinic were accused of misspending federal grant money on operating costs... which is a violation of federal law.

the money was intended for an hiv-aids study. as part of the agreement... the health clinic network is paying back about three-quarters of the original grant... and will *not* have to pay interest or fines. there's another big winnner from last week's mega millions drawing... the state of illinois. as a result of the 656-million dollar nationwide drawing... the state treasury will get more than 31-million dollars. that money will go to the state's common schools fund. in medical watch.. the obesity problem in america may be even worse than we think. people are categorized as overweight or obese based on body mass index, or b-m-i.. a ratio of height to weight. but a new study suggests b-m-i may lead us to *underestimate* obesity.. because it often misrepresents physical fitness and overall health. someone with a normal b-m-i could have very little muscle and mostly body fat.. and would have a lot of health risks because of that.

the researchers recommend lowering the b-m-i threshold for obesity from 30 to 24 for women, and to 28 for men. mammograms may *overdiagnose* up to one in four breast cancers. harvard researchers and scientists from norway and sweden analyzed medical records from nearly 40 thousand women to compare the incidence of invasive breast cancer.. with and without screening. the study found that 15 to 25 percent of the invasive breast cancers detected by mammography would never have turned life threatening. the researchers say, screening afforded women only a slightly smaller risk of dying from breast cancer.. and did not appear to reduce the total number of deaths from any cause. many preschoolers are not getting enough outdoor playtime. a new study published in the "archives of pediatrics and adolescent medicine" found about half of america's preschool- aged children don't play outside on a daily basis. boys were more likely than girls to get outside and play. researchers say parents who exercise were more likely to make outdoor play a part of their routine.

but it's basically a nice day here in the chicago area ... there is that sprawling canadian high pressure system pumping the northeast wind in the next couple of days. saturday will bring us cool weather with sunshine just a chance of a shower later today. the wind begins at the lunch hour and pick up throughout the afternoon and by the evening rush-hour we will be at 30 mi. per hour those will go to about 40 mi. per hour by late this evening ... that is all coming along the lakefront that will be with us for the next few days.

there is lots of rain to the downstate area there is a thunderstorm activity that will not be reaching the chicago area but it will be mostly sunny windy and cold tomorrow and we have a relatively dry but cool day thursday for the home opening game for the chicago cubs at wrigley field. easter sunday will be 67 degrees mostly sunny ... it will actually be getting cooler and we cannot rule out the chance of it snow flurries late next week thank you for joining us today have a great afternoon we will be back
