last two weeks. the former city comptroller of dixon has pleaded not guilty to charges of embezzling more than $50 million from her town. rita crundwell was indicted for wire fraud yesterday. prosecutors say that she skimmed $53 million in aid 22 years spans and use the money to fund her horse farm and live in luxury. angry residents of dixon one crown will send to prison and oliver property sold to recover as much of the missing money as possible. she will be back in court next month. the last remaining victims of john wayne gacy could be positively identified by memorial day. currently seven of gacy's victims remain unidentified the daily herald reports that 10 dna samples were sent to the cook county sheriff's office and lab technicians are trying to match the samples to those bodies the results are due back in a couple of weeks one victim 90 year-old

mcdonald's is accused of bribing hundreds of bloggers- to write positive posts. the company reportedly threw parties and gave free gifts to about 400 mcdonalds-friendly bloggers. last year, mcdonald's execs reportedly flew about 15 bloggers to its oakbrook headquarters last year.. put them up in a fancy hotel and gave private tours of the facility. last year, the company compensated so-called "mommy bloggers" for writing about mcdonalds new "wholesome" happy meal choices. the author and illustrator of a children's classic that revolutionized storytelling has passed away. maurice sendak died today in danbury, connecticut.. four days after suffering a stroke. he was 83. his most famous work.. it's become one of the ten best-selling children's books of all time. a new study warns parents that teen drivers are far more likely to be killed in an accident when they have other teens in the car with them. the report by aaa says 16-or- 17-year-old drivers are 44- percent more likely to die in a crash with just one passenger under 21-years old. that's compared to driving alone. the risk triples with three or more passengers under 21. however, with an adult 35 or older in the passenger seat... the risk of a teen being killed in a wreck... drops by more than 60-percent. more than one in three american adults are obese, and the problem is still growing. a new report forecasts that by the year 2030.. 42 percent of the adult population will be obese. the researchers estimate the cost of treating those additional obese people for diabetes, heart disease and other medical conditions will add up to nearly 550 billion dollars over the next two
