the man accused of kidnapping two girls from tennessee and murdering their mother and sister has killed himself. authorities say adam mayes shot himself in the head as search crews closed in on him in a wooded area in misssissippi. the two girls he was suspected of kidnapping were found lying next to him --alive and safe. they were both treated for exhaustion and dehyrdation. police have arrested three other people including the person who gave mayes the gun to shoot himself.

a possible new option to fight obesity... in the form of a pill. a food and drug administration panel voted in support of the experimental obesity pill yesterday. although it still needs some adjustments to satisfy safety concerns.. the decision brings the pill a step closer to approval. if approved, it will be one of the first new weight-loss treatments in more than a decade. the pill was rejected in 20-10 due to concerns about a drug used in the pill causing cancer risks. there are two other pharmaceutical companies trying to get a similar obesity pill approved. more kids may be exposed to smoke.. despite having non- smoking parents. a new study by the university of california in san franciso
