the country on wgn america. two families of a missing woman are on the seen awaiting news about the victim. here's more. >> hi mark. two families out here tonight very concerned that the woman found dead is her loved one. she came to the best hotel last night to meet someone s. she hasn't heard from her and when she went looking found a crime scene. >> this man is also looking for someone his 16-year-old cousin. she's been missing for two days. >> you haven't heard from her. >> she's not picking up her phone so we don't know what's going on. detectives won't give us any information. they keep tell us they will contact us by tomorrow. we need to figure out what's

>> he stood trial for conversations he had with his brother about the jackson proposal. he's even spoke to a u.s. house ethics committee about pursuing action investigating. jackson was never charged with any belong doing and neither was niac until today. in court he pled not guilty to charges of mail fraud and filing false tax returns. lawyers never uttered blagojevich's name or jacksons. jesse jackson, still a politician, is hoping to survive another election. he said he won't dwell on his past but they need to consider how it will play a role in the future in the second congressional district. >> the voters have a right to know that their congressional representative is being accused, and i think that's a very

up in this shot from victor martinez. look at the water running through that city that was hit with training thunderstorms that took down the sides of rivers buckled and destroyed roads, and this extended into superior wisconsin as well. nine to 10 inches of rain there. even as the warm air that was passing through our area failed to produce any rain. went north and dumped it out there. cumulous clouds. big ones out west. you would think this stuff would roar in and tear in. there is duluth with these storms going through last night. we've assembled a new line. these are formidable storms. here's the bullet on the precipitation covering the duluth area. we'll show you some rain numbers. nearly 10 inches at two harbors. denseld minnesota nine. other totals six inches at port

wing this is the less humid cooler air coming in. not a moment too late after our 95 at kenosha and o'hare second day at 95. it's interesting only three years since 1928 have had this many 90's this early. and you see the cooler air waiting in the wings on this high temperature plot today as the whole east coast is inheriting our heat way. 98 at laguardia out at new york. newark, new jersey hit 9 #. hartford, connecticut, 97. jfk 94 east. and while there are flood watches and warnings in effect in the area hit by the rains, the whole corridor from washington, d.c. north to boston under heat advisories as it will roar on another day out there. we will on the other hand be getting into less humid air with temperatures tonight still warm and muggy. we'll wake up to that tomorrow morning. we have some wind gusts blowing in the area too. we've noted that in the years

with the most 90's they have produced 36 90 degree or higher temperatures. normal summer produces 23. this temporary cool-off probably will not change the character of the summer which looks to be one that overall will be a hot one around here. south-southwest winds at 13. humidity at 41%. the forecast a couple of thunderstorms. but these will be in a dying phase as they come across the area, covering only 20% to 30-year of the area late tonight or tomorrow morning. sunshine and more comfortable humidity comes in after this. what's happening is this big dome of hot air moves on and the flow turns northwest. that brings some cooler canadian air in. low will form out here in the plains and run southeastward along a big canadian high that will send northeast winds in late in the weekend, but the humidity will creep up ahead of it that that system will bring us some rain perhaps late saturday night or sunday.

watch out for the big pride parade coming up this weekend. 80's in the area as you can see many spots but 42 mile per hour gusts in downtown chicago. glen view off our weather bug network it's been a windy day across the metro area with an 83 -- 84 on the northwest side and 80 elsewhere across the metro area. and in mchenry. a warm night. you don't want to turn off the air conditioner yet. look at the thunderstorms with the color. cumulonimbus clouds big towering thunder heads. we'll show you a model of what will happen. these are coming eastward and they will fall apart before they reach our area. we'll watch these storms tracking across iowa right there across western illinois where they will be quite formidable. here's the forecast showing the line coming in. see how it breaks up. by the time it gets here there

may be more activity than that forecast is showing. but these showers and thunderstorms are only going to be scattered by the time they get here. by tomorrow afternoon, the rain threat is over. and we go into a beautiful friday, pretty warm saturday with a lake breeze and a chance of thunderstorms on sunday. part of the day before the northeast winds lock in and really cool us off for a couple of days on monday and tuesday. it looks like the heat is back later this week. partly cloudy skies windy, warm tonight. moderately humid. spotty thunderstorms toward morning. low temperatures 76. we think aerial coverage will only be about 20% of the area. early shower or thunderstorm then partly to mostly sunny later in the day. not as humid, 87 for a high instead of today's 95. tomorrow night, clear and cooler. less humid, 64. mostly sunny, light winds lake breezes in the afternoon, high of 84 and 80 at the beaches. we jump back up into the upper 80's on saturday.
