a lot of pollen. this has been a miserable day across the area we have a hurricane autumn like temperatures to talk about in the day of the 90's and we also have an amazing pictures we captured this big storm coming into the city on saturday and steven snapped this picture of a lightning bolt hitting a water tower. if you were here on saturday you know that's exactly what that looked like. and this

consists of a person coming to see the psychiatrist really in patterns. worn down. by months and years of being unable to sleep well just seeing someone dressed in a uniform might cause this person to react as if this is the ss coming to get them. 1941, sonya was a 10 year-old girl when she escaped through a window like this one she was one of the few who avoided these killing fields 12,000 executed from the village. howard stepped in as a journalist and traveled here to learn about the missing years from his mother's childhood. she was basically running through the forest digging for food on farms and subsisting in this existence for those years and somehow she came out of the end of it all as a

person but quite damaged psychologically. a haunted child with weis and frostbite she was on the run for two years and never learned to trust anyone finally she found her ratives but like many holocaust survivors she kept her story secret suppressing for decades to try to live a normal life and raise a family. the bitter irony here is that this is what's preventing her from getting help to take a she believes everyone is trying to kill her again as they watch did so she won't take medicine she will speak to a psychiatrist and she has built a wall she is back in the past even though she knows it's the present and she is fighting for survival again. >> nearly all of the holocaust survivors showed traumas' signs 25 years after the incident. it

can have a long-lasting impact on anyone. if your life is threatened its trauma and it lingers with few which we now know decades later. and if it's never diagnosed psychologist may find it difficult if not impossible to treat someone. she is too paranoid to take medicine or speak to a psychologist. the first thing i mentioned is very obvious and early diagnosis and early treatment are a very good kind of approach. howard has written a book in documentary on his mother's story prisoner of her past. it's not a holocaust story it's a lesson about escaping haunting memories to live a happy life beyond trauma.
