contaminated with high levels of legionella bacteria, test results confirm that the hotel swimming pool, whirlpool in the locker room were all secondary sources meaning they to tested positive for the same species of bacteria those facilities remain closed. let me show you a video of the hotel lobby last night, the fountain was completely removed and the last 24 hours health officials say there is no longer a health threat at the j.w. marriott, 8500 people stayed at the hotel during august 15th-18th. officials are not releasing any information about who contracted the disease only to say that they are between the ages of 49- 82 years old and none of them are from the chicago area.
