eight people were inside of the ford explorer heading to the western suburbs from the city. investigators say four women were killed. there were temp workers on their way to a drought. illinois state police say the crash happened at 6:00 this morning the vehicle rolled down an embankment and flipped over. causing traffic from 83 to be blocked unti10:45 p.m.until 10:45 a.m.. the one other woman who was driving in three men inside have been transported to three hospitals. the trauma center. three of the more critical and the driver is conscious and communicating. police are hoping she can help them figure route what happened. no alcohol or drugs were involved.

why this 17 year-old high-school junior collapsed during football practice yesterday afternoon. his coaches started cpr. paramedics ended up using a defibrillator. he passed away an hour later at a local hospital. officials described him as popular and well liked. not only among classmates but teachers as well. he was a great kid. that is very sad. grief counselors are on hand at school today. the loss has made the superintendent rather reflective. if you have a child go hug your kid. what the kids know that you love them. things could change so quickly that will

here. three-year old deonta howard was released from the hospital yesterday. deonta and his mother attended a news conference last night at the "new beginnings church." he was was shot in the face during the late night attack one week ago. his mother says the bullet entered in near his right ear and exited through his cheek. deonta is excited to be home but he does have one complaint. >>does anything hurt >? >>we gave him a flu shot. >>imagine that. his mother says deonta has no permanent damage to his eye or brain but will need more plastic surgery to repair his face. four men have been charged in the attack that injured 13-people. police in lakeview have issued an alert.. for a man dressed in a clown

mask and several others, who are robbing people at gunpoint. the robberies happened last saturday after 2 in the morning. in the 700 block of west melrose and later in the 31-hundred block of north clifton. authorities say three men approached people on the street. demanding their cell phones, money and other personal items. all three robbers had their faces hidden. at least one of them had a gun. the man in the clown mask actually hit one of the victims. the judge will decide today whether the governor has the power to strip lawmakers of their paychecks. he argued it did not deserve to be paid because they fail to do their job and solve the state's pension crisis. the senate president believes the punishment is illegal. the city of dixon will recover $40 million stolen by the former comptroller. she

spent the money on a lavish lifestyle that included several properties and a horse breeding business. she is serving a 20 year sentence for fraud. the palmer house hotel honored a retiring banquet server. by waiting on him. 78-year-old robert hellom spent 53 years serving dinner and drinks to gala attendees and high profile visitors, including elizabeth taylor and many professional athletes. guests would often ask for him by name. a hotel spokesman says it's only fitting that hellom be served at a special luncheon. after his years of service. instead of choosing lobster or foie gras for lunch. hellom went with chicken wings and pizza instead. he is one of the longest serving employees in the hotel's 140-year history. coming up next it's been more than a year and a half since the costa concordia capsized. today divers found human remains on one of the ship's decks. also ahead a woman in florida will get
