>> chicago police are looking for the gunmen who shot and killed a long time chicago businessman over the weekend. we welcome our viewers were watching us around the country. >> chicago police are still searching for the people who shot and killed herbert good. they are hoping that surveillance video will help them. he was 66 years old. he owned a framing company with a storefront on the gold coast. he was at his factory when he was gunned down. the victim of a possible robbery.

reporting from the gold coast. >> a truck driver appeared in court today in connection with a crash that killed a tollway employee and severely injured a state trooper. >> good afternoon, we did not expect to hear from the truck driver. we did not. through his attorney says he is not guilty. the proceedings were short. attorneys did most of the talking. when it was all over he had entered a plea of not guilty on all charges. the truck driver is facing several felonies and misdemeanors for his role in a fiery crash that killed a worker and severely injured a state trooper back in january. he followed his attorney out of the court house who briefly discussed how his client feels about an upcoming trial. authorities say he is accused of

falsifying his driving records and had only four hours of sleep during a marathon 36 hour shift behind the wheel. pulled over to the side of interstate 5. slowly being brought out of a medically induced coma. the captain was joined in court by about a dozen troopers. she and her husband are suing him for negligence and asking for more than $1 million. >> the truck driver will be back in court in april. a

teenager was injured after an accident at the snowboard park where he works in northwest suburban held on clan.area. >> it took emergency responders at least an hour to get him freed. he was airlifted to a hospital. his condition has not been released. the accident is under investigation. the park remains closed. teachers at two public schools are refusing to give their students the scholastic achievement test. teachers and some parents say it is a waste of time. teachers say they know the risk. they will punish any teacher refuses to his minister the exam and consider it an act of insubordination.

the teachers' union calls it upsurge. at the same time taking these threats seriously. despite the threats at least one teacher says she is not deterred. >> we know that they are controlled by the mayor. he believes people. they see no compelling reason for the task. it is not a bad school. they are getting good grades. why for somethinforce something that does not help them? >> i believe my child. my child feels a lot of stress. about 40 teachers announced early last week that they would boycott the exam. they are giving away some valuable instructional time. they're not using the results for grade promotion. friday several teachers announced

claims tthey claim features have opted out of the exam. >> a catholic elementary school on the south side will remain open. making it the third school to be saved from closure. raised enough money to stay open without additional financial help. it was one of six schools slated to close because of lack of funding. the school increased tuition and raised $82,000 through a pledge drive. $95 has been promised to the school for two years after that. three catholic schools are scheduled to close at the end of the school year. they will have the youngest voters ever as early voting begins today in the primary election. under a new loss 17 year-old can register and vote in the primary as long as they're 18 by the time of the general election. more than 9000 have already done so. early voting ends march 15th. the primary is on the 18th. some
