when she developed a 'lograde fever' this morning. test results could come today or tomorrow. and there may be another ebola victim in texas. sergeant michael monnig of the dallas county sheriff's office, was hospitalized yesterday with possible symptoms. he says he woke up with a stomach ache and felt sore and fatigued. he's now being tested for the ebola virus. he was one of the first responders to enter the apartment where ebola victim he talked about that experience last friday. the sergeant was admitted just the black-the lights to turn them on. when you go home the next day the start hearing that equipment is being quarantined ... >> that sergeant was admitted just as an he was the first ebola victim diagnosed in the u-s. monnig didn't have direct contact with duncan, but there was some contact with family members. duncan had been in the hospital for ten days. he was actually sent home with anti-biotics the first time he went in with symptoms.

o'hare airport is one of five major airports that will start screening passengers, from west africa, for ebola. nancy loo is live at o'hare with more.. nancy? have they started the screenings yet? >> they have not started yet. they will start next week. but as you know, o'hare airport seized many passengers coming in the daily from west african countries. city and state health officials stress they are working closely with the ctc and are already well prepared to handle any potential ebola patients. >> we will identify the case quickly and probably stamp out any transmission so we can contain it. >> we will work with every level at aviation and public health to ensure we have the safety and

security in place to make sure the health is safe. >> the u.s. health screenings will start this saturday at jfk airport and then the o'hare, washington and dallas and atlanta and newark will institute screenings next week. the focus will be on the 150 passengers who arrive daily from liberia, guinea and sierra leone. the known ebola hot spots. the cdc is stationed at o'hare and measures are in place to isolate and contain should any suspected cases popped up. to the north, an abundance of caution has prompted jail officials in kenosha county to isolate a woman from liberia. she was brought in as a federal immigration detainee after flying in through o'hare from belgium. the woman was showing no symptoms but officials have

another police shooting led to a crowd of protesters in saint louis. an off duty officer was working as a security guard when he shot and killed a teenager last night. officials say he was chasing a suspect, who turned around and fired three shots at him. the officer fired his gun 17- a crowd of people gathered after the protesters were yelling at police at the scene, but there was no reported violence. protesters are planning demonstrations against racial profiling in saint louis and ferguson this weekend. pennsylvania state police are revealing new details of a journal, left behind by fugitive eric frein . in it, he describes how he shot two state troopers...killed one of them last month. he wrote his getaway car almost failed him when he crashed his parents jeep. investigators say he had a deep police have added new charges against frein, including having weapons of mass destruction. by the way...they still haven't found him. he's believed to be hiding out in the pocono mountains. a swarm of bees killed a

welcome back. in finding people who can take something that we see every day and turn it into a work of art. today we have a man who makes driftwood sculptures. >> we see it every time we go to the beach. would that trips onto the shore of lake michigan. most of us just walk by not thinking anything of it. but this man ... >> there's a lot to offer. >> he sees an opportunity. >> i see it as something different. >> he started combing the lake michigan shoreline about five years ago in search of the most unique driftwood he could find. >> this start is cool how that was already in there. you could look at these knots how it all hold out. >> he brings it back to the storage area on the bottom floor of his apartment complex.

it's a makeshift studio where he turns natures trash ... into treasure. >> once i started coming and finding these pieces of driftwood, i started to see what it could become and ever since then it has grown into such a passion. >> he sells the creations, a collection of the sticks along with a nail gun and wood glue and it becomes a chicago flag. >> i knew for example this peace and this piece would make a good frame. from there i see these two that ready had and i have collected enough to where i have a pile and you almost have to spread it all out on the floor in order to visualize what's going to go where. >> other times it becomes an accessory to a vintage mirror. these old boards they have once been part of a.. today they are

a picture frame. >> my mom action have that. i made the frame. i rested al. there were nails displayed on their to give it more character. that's just how it was. just like that. adult what. i don't to a lot to and i like to keep them the way i find them. a lot of high and stores day mass- produced these overseas and there's really no characters nothing behind it. but with deeds, i just like the fact that it's from our backyard. where did it come from? i don't know. but it's from the lake. that's pretty cool. >> customers from all over the country. many are midwest transplants looking to own a piece of the great lakes they left behind. >> i grew up in the midwest by lake michigan and every day just provides so much for all of us.
