hills with the latest. >> that's the word from police. no survivors out here. this is a heavily residential area. we are about a block from the police station. ntsb is the lead agency investigating the crash. they will decide how long this area will be blocked off and when to begin the process of removing pieces from the aircraft. the plane went down at 10:40 p.m. near 101 in the southwest suburbs. there is debris scattered near people's yards. no homes were hit, no fire from the crash. faa says the twin engine left midway airport bound for kansas, crashing into a field. no information about the three people who were aboard. we have learned a plane was registered to a company, a r c. people who live near the crash site say planes flying overhead all the

eliud kipchoge won the men's division, finishing the race in just over two hours and four minutes. rita jeptoo won the women's title for the second yeain a row, in just under two hours and 25 minutes. 45-thousand runners took part in the race, 8-hundred of them needed medical attention along the route or at the finish line. it's estimated nearly two million spectators turned ou to cheer them on as they ran through 29 chicago neighborhoods. demetrius ivory was among those thousands of brave runners and he's home recovering this morning.. but we have these pictures from his run. this was his first marathon. and he smiling most of the way .. but he looked pretty wiped out at the finish line. there he is right after you finish. four hours 33 minutes. they're respectable time. we are told he does not plan to do this anytime again. but congratulations to him. we can't

faces a sentencing hearing today in south africa, for shooting his girlfriend to death. pistorius admitted, he shot reeva steenkamp through his bathroom door in the middle of the night last year. his defense, was that he thought she was an intruder. pistorius was cleared of murder charges, but convicted of "culpable homicide." that's the south african his sentencing hearing isr. expected to take several day fighters from "isis" are on the verge of seizing control of the capturing the town would give "isis" almost total control a 100-mile swath of land in syria and iraq, all the way to the turkish border. with american-led airstrikes proving largely ineffective in stopping the "isis" advance, the pentagon is now sending low-flying helicopter gunships, to try to turn the tide. at the same time, "isis" forces have closed to within 15 miles the group already controls most of iraq's anbar prin more protests overnight as

hospitalized-- the younger boy isn critical condition. we're following an incredible story out of louisiana -- where an 11-month-old girl survive up to three days, trapped beneath her father's body. the girl's three- or four-year- old brother ran to a relative's house on fridaan their father was dead. a family member found the body of the 43-year-old man in his bed, with the girl pinned beneath him. investigators say the father apparently died of a sudden heart attack. the girl is being treated for skin blisters, but is otherwise said to be doing very well. evil clowns are on the loose in bakersfield, california. the latest sighting came saturday night. people in clown costumes have so far, there have been nogh some people speculate, it's just but one person says he saw a clown carrying a handgun. and a child claims he was chased by a clown with an axe. it's not clear whether it's a whole *crew of clowns just that is enough to creep ever

musicians is thriving. it's a music genre essentia to celebrating and preserving mexican culture. mariachi! trumpets... violins... guitars... andoi they are some of the most enduring songs from mexico. founded just last year by alvaro obregon, the chicago mariachi project already has about 50 students.. ages 8 to 18. they come from all over the chicago area - meeting every saturday to practice at benito juarez high school. >> our first and primary goal is to rescue mariachi and move beyond just people thinking about it as the quiencinera band or the wedding music music and really to elevate it and put it on another level. >> 10 year old edwin perez says he plays mariachi because he loves the upbeat rythyms - and >> it's my fav type of music, my parents would be proud of me >> students in the program get

my advice as well. we're talking about the world's biggest things. once had the biggest building in the world and we had the busiest airport at one point we did. but today we are talking about the world's digit biggest laundromat in our own backyard. take a look. >> this happens to me all the time driving down the street looking both ways i see ala pce that i always wanted to go into but never have. it happened recently on the sumac in berlin but i drove past this laundromat. not your traditional run-of-the-mill laundromat. it is the world's largest laurondmat! among the largest laundromat the most unique one. there is a contest in 1983 the laundry association of america held it. we were one of the finalists. the came out with a tape measure and we won.
