no word on whether there has been under arrest but a soft lockdown is not over.soft lockdown is overinvestigators in that north suburb are also trying to figure what set off a hospital -patient. prompting officers toot kill him. w-g-n's marcella s hi . >> later i will be talking with the family of the man who shot and killed by hand please. does not add up. 27 year old christopher anderson was with his nine yead daughter and another man. they were involved in a car accident. the driver was arrested for driving under the influence. they're taken by ambulance to highland park hospital. they had minor injuries and replaced in separate treatment rooms. 2.5 hours later highland park police were called to the hospital. anderson became aggressive and pulled out a gun. police officers and hospital staff tried to calm him down. after repeated efforts to get him

to drop his weapons the officer's fire and killed him. offices close of this investigation said illinois state police did not frisked anderson because there was no reason to. he was not under arrest. he was injured in he was put into an ambulance and taken here. this is what the family is having trouble believing. >> a hospital spokesperson says no one was in danger at any time and at the hospital is safe. major crimes is also working in this investigation. >> search crews have located a teenager who was missing after a suburban house fire early today. wgn's judy wang is live in prospect heights with the latest. judy? >> and neighbors have been up all night watching as firefighters went through this house

repeatedly desperate to find the boy. police started considering the possibility that the boy was not there. maybe he left the house in the middle of the night. police did find the teenager and he is ok. >> numerous searches and no sign of the missing child. firefighters have reason to believe a 14 year-old was not home when the fire broke out. >> we've had multiple crews go through. room to room with us. we found absolutely no sign of him. >> some prospect heights police officers arrived first. a man his wife and three children outside. told police a fourth child was trapped in the house. officers went in and attempted to look for the boy. paramedics took one of the officers to the hospital for smoke inhalation.

a teenager from bollingbrook, accused of trying to join iea to court todar a detention and examination hearing. f-b-i agents arrested mohammed khan at o'hare last month as he tried to board a flight to turke aglsd awi si epy y larc s are er how much access grant reporters and court watchers. a man who surrendered to police in a downtown parking garage has now been released. it happened last thursday and 100 block of west madison street. brian williams tells the chicago tribune that one of his friends got angry when the officer used a racial slur. the friend attacked the officer. williams said he tried to pull him away. the officer did not identify himself and was not wearing a badge. the officer was taken to hospital facial injuries. >> condition stabilized over the weekend. three other people were questioned.
