more students will likely face criminal charges. the state's attorney's office charges three boys with distribution of child pornography. they say it involves 16 and cyber bullying a female classmate. she and her parents went to police october 24th after nine classmates were texting in the sexually explicit photos of her. the boys have been released to their parents. police in district 121 administrators declined to release specifics. not sing when this took place or how long it has been going on. one student and his parent said unfortunately, they are not surprised by the lack of common sense. >> kids just don't, to the common sense and think that the police will get involved. if the girl doesn't want to posting that online. in this case that happened. >> police are urging parents to

spot check their children's self phones and to remind them of the social and emotional and legal ramifications. it's a crime to possess and to forward these images. >>a southwest suburban elementary school plans to resume classes this morning. it was closed yeterday when a third of its students got sick. robinson elementary school in lyons has been scrubbed by a cleaning crew. officials say four or five students at a time started coming into the office with flu-like symptoms. when staffers also started going home sick, the school contacted the cook county health department. health officials say it was probably norovirus, which is very contagious. symptoms include fever and stomach problems. the former navy seal who says he killed osama bin laden, now faces a backlash... by the navy, and by other seals. rob o'neill says he's the man who shot bin laden in the forehead, killing him instantly at his hideout in pakistan.

other seals say, at least one *other team member shot bin laden, too. but beyond that, they say o'neill broke a solemn agreement that his work, and the work of other seals, would remain secret. >> there was a time when the solid professional did the job and did not look for the glory. now classified information is being used for power but politicians and money by some of the guys who have done this. >>the navy is warning *all of its seals, they could face "judicial consequence" -- criminal charges -- if they reveal navy secrets. rob o'neill is now a motivational speaker. other seals fear, by going public, he's making himself a target for terrorist vengeance. governor elect bruce rauner hits the road today to thank voters across illinois. he's also unveiling a bi- partisan transition team. several democrats are on the staff. they include bill daley, who last served as president obama's chief of staff. there's also former state senator james meeks and pastor corey brooks. rauner didn't give many details

about his next moves. but he did say he wants to make illinois the most compassionate and competitive state in the country. >> we are going to improve the quality of life for every family. union and nonunion households, every family i'm working for every one dedicated to get take-home pay up. >>rauner says he has not talked to governor quinn, but he has spoken to president obama and mayor emanuel. he also says he hopes the lame duck session doesn't pass anything significant, but he won't oppose quinn's goal of raising the minimum wage. w-g-n obtained recordings of robo-calls that disrupted voting in chicago. the calls are now the subject of a criminal investigation by the cook county states attorney. >> expect all judges to vote. part of being a judge is recording on the republican ticket. we will to additional training the purpose of protecting our vote for the entire republican ticket. >> in addition, a report to our

republican judge hot line. >> the cook county chairman appreciates that you've accepted this and acknowledges indication to maintaining a free election process. >>the calls kept 2-thousand election judges from reporting to their assigned polling places on tuesday. the workers were told they needed more training to qualify, even though they were fully trained. no one has claimed responsibility for the calls, but they all had a connection to the cook county republican party. >> it's an organization had nothing to do with any of these calls with sober. we did not authorize, we did not endorse, we did not write any script for these calls. we did not record any of these calls. we did not pay for these. >>information on election judges can be requested from the board of elections, through the freedom of information act. w-g-n has learned, one party did request it this election. the father of a murdered chicago police officer got to testify against the accused killers.

thomas wortham the 4th was shot and killed outside his father's home in 20-10. toyious taylor and paris mcgee are accused of hitting him with a car and dragging him a quarter of a mile. wortham's father testified that he fired at two other suspects with his son's gun and his own gun. was wounded. separate juries will decide the case for the two defendants. the will county prosecutor is asking a judge to reject the appeal of convicted wife-killer drew peterson. the former bolingbrook police officer is seeking to overturn his conviction for murdering his third wife, kathleen savio. but the state's attorney's office is standing by its case. peterson's lawyers say the case was built on *third-party* testimony that peterson's fourth wife stacy said he *told her he killed savio. prosecutors say, hearsay evidence is acceptable if it's credible. "peta" is trying to stop the ringling brothers and barnum and bailey circus from using four elephants in its upcoming performances in chicago. a veterinarian in denver says the four animals have foot

"peta" is arguing to mayor emanuel's office that the elephants' ailments would be further aggravated if they were forced to perform here. the city will have the elephants examined, and make a decision. chicago's christmas tree will be delivered to daley plaza tonight. the winning tree was chopped down in front of a home in elgin yesterday. its owner nominated the tree the past three years, but it was always a runner-up. the fourth time was the charm for this 57-foot colorado blue spruce. >> it's gorgeous. doesn't look it now. but when they get it down it's going to look gorgeous again. why not have people enjoy it? >>the city's official tree lighting ceremony is the tuesday before thanksgiving. our own micah materre will emcee the ceremony. the tree will be on display until january sixth. the process didn't go as smoothly in downstate moline, where the city's christmas tree broke. the top eight feet of the 55- foot tree came off while crews were loading it onto the delivery truck. officials say if they can't put

a helicopter crash in idaho killed two army national guardsmen. the crewmen were aboard the chopper when it went down last night, two miles south of boise airport. the guard hasn't released the names of the dead men. investigators are trying to determine what caused the crash. n-f-l star adrian peterson's child abuse case may be over, but he's not back in the league yet. peterson is on probation after he pleaded no contest to misdemeanor reckless assault. he was accused of child abuse for whipping his four year old son with a tree branch. the n-f-l can still suspend peterson, who is on the league's exempt list. that means he doesn't play, but he still gets paid. peterson has lost his job with nike. the company dropped its endorsement after the case concluded. ray rice's n-f-l future is in the hands of an arbitrator. his appeal hearing ended after two days of testimony. rice, his wife, and ravens general manager ozzie newsome

all testified yesterday. rice is appealing his indefinite suspension for domestic violence. he says he was punished twice when the n-f-l increased his suspension for hitting his fiancé. but n-f-l commission roger goodell had said rice's version of what happened did not match what the elevator video showed. there's no deadline for the arbitrator's decision. the same-sex marriage movement lost its first major case. a federal appeals court decided yesterday to uphold same-sex marriage bans in four states. the court said the issue should be decided by voters. the ruling overturns district court decisions in michigan, ohio, kentucky and tennessee ... where same-sex marriage bans were declared unconstitutional. last month, the u-s supreme court declined to rule on gay marriage. the issue will likely head back to the high court. a photo of a 13-foot alligator went viral and is sparking an on-line debate about its killing in south texas. residents near beaumont complained the gator was lurking too close to homes... and dogs had gone missing. so a game warden shot the reptile 12 times. the owner of a nearby

spoken to cullerton or madigan. rauner's transition team has a bi-partisan lineup. it includes several democrats like bill daley, ron huberman, and former state senator james meeks. republican glenn poshard and pastor corey brooks are also on it. rauner says he wants to make illinois more compassionate and competitive, but he didn't give any details. a spokesman says rauner will not challenge governor quinn's goal to raise the minimum wage before he leaves office. taking a look at the *other top stories this morning. brandon marshall's younger brother got arrested near denver. bijon massie marshall is being held on bond for aggravated robbery and being a fugitive. he's accused of robbing an elderly woman and a store, last month. he also faces charges for stealing a car, while on probation, last year. in northfield, a tree fell in a forest, killing a chicago stage actress. now, her husband is suing the cook county forest preserve district. molly glynn was on her bicycle in erickson woods when the tree killed her in september. joe foust says the forest preserve people were negligent because they didn't properly monitor their trees for signs of disease or weakness.

push for reduction of the debt... approval of the keystone oil pipeline... and the unwinding of some of the unpopular provisions of obamacare. new information on how federal agents were able to track down a suspected kidnapper and rescue a philadelphia woman abducted on camera last weekend. authorities checking the surveillance video noticed a decal on the car and called the agency, which confirmed the vehicle had a g-p-s device installed in case of re- possession. the device led a-t-f agents to maryland, where they arrested delvin barnes wednesday night. barnes was wanted in another kidnapping and attempted murder last month in virginia. carleesha freeland-gaither was rescued. one of the nurses who contracted a house in canada has an infestation problem. 100 snakes were removed. 119 more have been found. they are harmless snakes but the family says they are still free to out. they say that even after the latest batch of

contracted ebola in a dallas hospital says she still doesn't know how she got the virus. >> i was covered completely every time. i followed the protocol for on and off. i never strayed. it's a mystery to me. >>amber vinson says she's still regaining strength after she was cleared of ebola last week. vinson got sick while treating patient eric duncan. she says she followed every c- d-c guideline, including when she took two flights to plan her wedding. she says she was given permission to fly since she didn't have any symptoms. vinson says she feels the c-d-c tried to blame her, even though she reported her temperature to the health department. stocks closed at new record thursday. dow rose 69. nasdaq gained 17. s&p up 10% for the year.

hackers responsible for home depots massive data breach stole more than just debit and credit cards. an investigation revealed they also stole 53 million e-mail addresses. hackers apparently got into the system using a third-party vendor's username and password. home depot did not disclose which vendor was hacked, but warned the email addresses could be used in phishing attacks. it expects to pay at least 62 million dollars in recovery costs. the u-s postal service failed to deliver thousands of holiday packages on time last year, resulting in a lot of angry customers. this year, u-p-s is hoping to avoid that by extending delivery service to seven days a week, starting november 17-th. it's also doubling the number of seasonal hires to handle the expected jump in internet sales. deliveries will run through christmas day. table salt is a lot more than just a shaker... but are they worth the designer prices? take a look... himalayan pink salt brick is a round slab of pink salt, used by tops chefs as a seafood serving platter. it can also be grated and sprinkled on salads, to give them a nice shimmer.
