>> announcer: the following content is provided courtesy of tommiecopper.com. over three years ago, tommie copper created a new concept in relief and performance that has helped countless every-day people live more positive lives. along the way, it's helping a 21-time rodeo champion stay on top of his game, a world-class triathlete return to the top of the podium, a 21-time olympic medalist recover faster from knee surgery and pursue her passions, a pioneer in mixed martial arts capture her first world championship belt, a high-school girls softball team repeat as best in state, and the fastest american win against those half his age. this apparel is unique because

copper znergy provides uv and odor protection, while our compression brings natural soreness relief and recovery to the places that need it -- knees, elbows, wrists, lower back and shoulders, feet, and ankles. designed to harness the inner power of our body to recover naturally, tommie copper's original energywear is the new intersection of wellness and performance. and those who wear it call it revolutionary. we call it the next evolution in performance apparel. and the full collection can be found at tommiecopper.com. >> when i arrive at the stadium, i really don't want anybody know i'm there. i want to show up like a ghost. i want to show up like seal team 6. so, when i step on the track, there's nothing for them to do except run. and when i'm ready, i'm gonna be the one that's morready than

them. when i was a little kid, i knew i had something special because i would run and beat all my classmates by far. then i'd tell them to get on their bicycle and i'd still be on foot, and i still would beat them while they're on their bikes. i became the student of my own sport. you know, i had to make sure i win, watch highlight tapes of dennis, watch carl lewis, michael johnson, those guys, and basically combine that and made who i am today -- a better runner, a smarter runner. >> justin gatlin. >> you're going into all different kind of environments all the time. i'm in jamaica right now. the next one. >> don't put an age limit on your dreams. when i got to the olympic trials in '08, i felt like if i can make the olympic team, then all those middle-aged people out there can do what they thought they couldn't do because either they were too old or they didn't feel like they could find a balance in their life to do it. exercise and fitness are so important to me. it's always been a staple in my life, and when i go to the gym now, there's just so many things that i can't do because of no cartilage in my knee. the thing that bums me out the most is the fact that i can't do the things with my child that i want to do. i don't want an injury to dictate what i can and can't do in my life. basically, what's happening with my knee is i've lost cartilage, so i have bone on bone. >> dara's been a competitive athlete her whole life, as you know, and that doesn't just go to swimming. that goes to everything that she
5:07 am
does. she continues to have pain and swelling, and it limits what she can do. at this point in time, surgery is her only option. >> my daughter is eight years old, my stepkids are 14, and they are full of energy. as far as work goes, i hope i can still give motivational talks and go out there and try to inspire people. so, i am completely honored and inspired by you amazing athletes. the athlete in me knows that i need to work before the surgery and after. i've already started physical therapy, trying to work my leg, work some muscle into my leg. >> one of the biggest ings that's gonnaappen is that you're gonna have swelling of the muscles around the joint. so that's where using compression can really come in, is to help. >> managing swelling and pain is critical to any knee surgery. >> i use the tommie copper knee sleeve practically all the time. a great physical-therapy regimen is extremely important after surgery, b i kw that have that safety net of tommie copper to wear the sleeves and the compression wear. that's gonna be another entity in my recovery to make sure that i can recover much quicker. and i just want to get this right knee done so i can go and

>> 21 world titles are going to camden, ohio -- shawn minor! >> shawn minor -- [ chuckles ] oh, man. cowboy, icon, legend. he's a guy that i love being around just because he loves this sport for what it is. and rodeo today is america's original extreme sport. it's not a matter of if you get hurt. it's a matter of when and how bad. >> i had a bull buck me off and step on my ribcage, broke my sternum in half, broke my ankle, spiral fracture, broke a vertebrae in my neck, broke like
5:11 am
9 or 10 bones in my foot. >> tore my bicep in half. >> broke collar bone. i got ribs taken out of my chest. >> knee injuries, broken arms. >> cracked my tailbone. >> boy, you name it, i think we've seen it. >> when our guys don't play, they don't get paid. they ride with bumps and bruises and broken bones, and these are the toughest athletes on earth. >> you know, it ain't something that we just do because it's cool. it's who we are. most of these guys have been raised on ranches or work r ranchers. they don't get paid $60,000, $70,000 a year. they get paid $700 a week if they're lucky. >> this is the real deal. there's nothing easy about this work. but it's what we do, and we love it. >> i've seen every kind of different injury there is. >> i had a horse -- he went end over end and lit on top of me. and my hips hurt, my back hurt. you know, i was whinebagging around there and letting kids beat me that shouldn't. i was just like, "i'm not gonna be one of them guys that needed to hang it up 10 years ago."
5:12 am
my lower back was what was really bothering me. you know, it just grueling just trying to get going in the morning. and i was gonna quit riding. >> a guy of his age shouldn't be riding bucking horses at the level that he's at now. the last year, he has really shined. >> it's fun for me now. it has been this whole year. >> he is our copper cowboy -- shawn minor. >> for him to come in here and easily walk away as the ifr 44 champion in the bareback riding, 's got to be something. >> when i'm done riding bucking horses, my day job begins. running a ranch is just as painful as rodeo. my routine is first thing in the morning, i put the shirt and shorts on. i wear tommie copper's compression on all of my joints all day long. it loosens me up. basically, i have it on every day. i guess i should sleep in it.
5:13 am
tommie copper's compression helps enhance muscle and joint mobility. it's comfortable, it's easy to put on, and it soothes my aches and pains. as soon as i put on my tommie copper, i can feel the difference. i'll never go a day without it. >> announcer: live a more positive life with tommie copper. call or go online to see the entire range of recovery and performance lines. see how you can qualify for free shipping and multi-pack discounts. >> lesley paterson is a two-time xterra world champion and one-time itu cross champion. >> she races at the top of the world in xterra and in mountain biking. >> people think that she is just top-of-the-game all the time, but she deals with the same mental, physical battles that
5:14 am
every other single person does. >> being injured, as an athlete, is just par for the course. i've been suffering from an injury for about six months. it has been the most emotional journey i've ever been on in my life because you realize what the sport means to you. because it's part of my soul, and when i don't have it, i don't know how to function in life. it's been a really hard time. i'm working through it, and i'm getting better, and i'm now finding joy in passing what i've experienced to others. that's why i created braveheart coaching. this isn't about winning races or getting on the podium. it's really to mentor them, to help them fulfill their dreams.
5:15 am
>> lesley really introduced me to how i can be a triathlete. >> she learned what my weaknesses were, what my strengths were, and how we can adapt them to just be a better all-around triathlete. >> and i do believe in marginal gains. that's a huge part of how i train, so every little thing counts. wearing my tights every night to bed counts. every little positive increment you can get to make your body feel better is essential. >> it takes five seconds to throw on recovery tights or recovery socks and head to work. nobody knows i have them on, but all day, i'm getting that recovery process going. >> i get into compression as soon as i can. so it's been very essential for me. >> that's an easy recovery. they'll do whatever it takes to get that little bit of an edge. >> team braveheart is not necessarily about winning races or getting on the podium. it's been about excellence and the way that they live their lives.
5:16 am
the day of the race or an intense training, i put my tommie copper gear on and assume a fierce character. it's important that the compression and exercise gear look as good as it performs. i love the support they give me, and the performance line has so many bright colors to fit my mood or match my outfit. u.v. sun protection and moisture wicking is crucial when i'm training 12 hours a day in the california sun. so is compression. it helps stabilize muscles, reduce lactic-acid buildup, keep me going the extra mile. when it gets cold out, i switch into the agility compression tights and the agility mock neck. they keep my muscles warm and loose. the finger holes keep my hands protected, too. i've used a lot of different methods to help rejuvenate my body after a competition. but tommie copper's different. it all combines to make something truly unique. i'll never give it up. >> announcer: view the entire range of performance gear and recovery wear by calling the
5:17 am
number below or going to tommiecopper.com. >> depending on my training depends on what gear i put on. i wear tommie copper socks whenever i run. i love the support they give me, and the crazy colors can really be matched to my moods or the character i feel like that day. >> well, when you think of a team, you think of you come together as one. >> "team" on three. one, two, three. >> go team! >> the closer your team is, the more successful they're gonna be. 'cause they're gonna fight, they're gonna play for one another. anytime you can put team first, the more success you have on the field. >> winning is always the goal,
5:18 am
but it's not everything. because losses teach these kids something. if they won all the time, they'd never really get to figure out who they are as people and what they are as a team. >> i want to be a professional baseball player. i want to go to the big leagues and stay there for a long time. >> when he's on the field, it's all baseball. he's got to do everything he can to keep his body in shape. it's everything to milton to stay healthy. >> injury prevention now is essential for these guys. >> you baseball -- now it's year-round. it's almost like a job for these kids. >> a lot of times, the girls may wear the tommie copper socks, because they have some lower-leg or calf or foot problems that may arise. some of my infielders who have to make a lot of throws overhand use the elbow sleeve, where there's a lot more stress on the elbow. my catchers and pitchers like the wrist sleeves, because they have to do a lot of flexing and impact on their wrists
5:19 am
throughout the game. so that helps them stay fresh and stay stronger for a whole game. >> you know, in baseball, injury's a part of the game. that's what happens. you can't prevent some injuries. and we wanted every opportunity to figure out, "how can i keep my elbow as good as i can keep it?" >> these guys play at a high level. these kids all have d1 aspirations. the goal is states every year. these guys -- they come to american heritage having that dream, knowing that this team has these capabilities, and that's the goal we set for them every year. as it comes down to everything, you know, it depends on them. once the lights turn on, are the stars gonna show up? is our pitcher gonna be the best she can be? or is our offense gonna be the best on the day? is our defense gonna be best on the day? so when the lights go on, the superstars need to come out. >> most coaches will tell you,
5:20 am

>> this is the day that i've worked at least 7h years for. all the hard work pays off. when i step into the cage, i'm prepared. now it's time to show them what i do. i'm so calm that i can see everything. it's like slow motion. yes, i am gonna win is fight. that's the fun part. after january 18th, i'll be the first female mma fighter to be up on the wall at american top team. that's huge for me. >> training at a.t.t. is the best. you know, there's not a lot of ego running around this place. >> punch each other, kick each other, trying to submit each other, but after the workout,
5:22 am
they're gonna hug, they're gonna have lunch. >> family is the whole entire motto of the gym. >> how important is family? i'll show its importance. >> i've been doing a six-week camp six days a week about five to eight hours a day. >> girls that come here and train -- they're some of the toughest girls you will ever see in your life. >> it's not fun to be a drill partner. it hurts. >> she'll knock out heavyweights that are guys. >> you want to train enough to be in shape for round 1. >> how bad do i want it? how bad do i want success? in t gym, it's just so dirty, i started wearing head-to-toe tommie copper compression. >> you don't know what these guys got on their skin. they're real prone to get abrasions. it's good to try and protect from that stuff. >> cleanliness is next to godliness -- you know the saying. >> this is the hard part -- my training. this is the time where i suffer. the fight is, like, my time to have fun. my daily routine is go loco. yoga has helped me slow down and

5:30 am
>> announcer: the following program is paid for by the friends and partners of joyce meyer ministries. [music] >> joyce: well, i'm so glad that you've joined us today, because i have something really special that i want to talk to you about today. you know, you may hear the terminology "being saved" or "being born again," or someone might say to you, "are you saved? are you born again? are you a christian?" and maybe you're not even really
5:31 am
fully aware of what they might be asking you. you might say, "well, go to church." well, you know, jesus didn't just call us to go to church. he called us to have an intimate relationship with god through him, and the bible says in order to enter the kingdom of heaven that we must be born again. and today, i want to teach you what that means, and i've got a very special guest on the first half of the show that has led literally millions of souls into the kingdom of god. he's gonna share, and then you're gonna see part of a teaching that i did, and then i'm gonna pray with people at the end who want and need to receive jesus christ as their savior. now, you know, you may already be a christian and you might think, "well, i don't know that this is gonna really be for me today, because i'm already saved." well, i wouldn't turn the show off if i were you, because you know what? there may be some things that you could even learn about what you already have that you have forgotten about. knowing christ is the absolute most wonderful thing in the world, and having our sins washed in his blood is phenomenally awesome,
5:32 am
and i want you to be excited about your salvation. take a look at pastor reinhard's ministry, and then we'll be right back. >> announcer: evangelist reinhard bonnke is known for his huge gospel crusades throughout africa which attract millions of people. he grew up in germany and began his missionary work on the african continent in 1974. to date, he's led 77 million people in the prayer of salvation. reinhard is the founder of the international niry christ for all nations. he also hosts conferences around the world aimed at equipping church leaders for evangelism. >> joyce: well, pastor reinhard, god has used you to lead literally millions of souls into a personal, dynamic relationship with christ. but you know, as you know, we have some pretty serious problems in our society today, and people just kind of have this attitude, "well, doesn't really matter what you believe, as long as you believe in something.
5:33 am
everybody can kind of choose their own path." what do you have to say about that? >> reinhard: well, faith doesn't mean that i just have to believe in anything. your bible faith, bible faith is not faith in anything. it is always faith in god because he is trustworthy. if i want to cross the atlantic by boat, i must choose a vessel that i can trust. for instance, i cannot cross the atlantic in a bathtub, you see? i have to get maybe a cruise ship. a wonderful cruise ship, i trust it. so when it comes to my eternal abode, my eternal salvation, i've got to put my trust in god
5:34 am
who can safely bring me across and land me in heaven one day. so it's always faith in god, not faith in something. it's very, very, very dangerous to trust anything around. >> joyce: and a lot of times, i think people don't want to believe in god, as we're speaking about the god of the bible, because they really don't want to follow his guidelines, his commandments, the way that he tells them to live. you know, i've thought sometimes, you know, i wonder how many people who claim to be an atheist would no longer claim to be an atheist if they thought they could have a relationship with god and still do anything they wanted to do? i mean, it's foolish to turn down a relationship with god through christ, because it's the absolute, most wonderful free gift in the whole world.
5:35 am
tell us about jesus and the blood of christ, and what has god done for us? >> reinhard: just as you say this, i asked a young man. i said, "when are you wanting to receive jesus christ as your savior?" you know what he said to me? he said, "i already got saved five times and i got lost five times. and right now," he says, "i'm lost." i said, "can you explain that to me?" "yes," he said. "i'll gladly do that." he said, "the gospel you preach is so high, i cannot reach it. for example," he says, "the commandment of god says, you shall not commit adultery," he said, "but that is my sin. i get saved. i say, i don't want to do this evil anymore. but then i go out on the street," he said, "i see a beautiful woman and i'm done."
5:36 am
i said, "wait a minute. you got saved five times and lost five times because you never understood the gospel once, you see?" i said to him, "if jesus was as weak as you are, or as i am, we wouldn't need jesus, because two weak men don't equal one strong man. but who says jesus is weak? jesus, before he ascended to heaven, he opened his arms and he said, "all power is given to me in heaven and on earth." i said, "i challenge you, if you really ask this powerful jesus to enter your life and you commit yourself to him, then the weak shall say, i am strong.
5:37 am
and the weak shall say, i am more than a conqueror." this is salvation in jesus christ. it's not my striving and my trying. it's receiving. on a daily basis, i walk in the newness of this wonderful salvation of his. >> joyce: i think a lot of times, young men like this one you're talking about, maybe he did sincerely want jesus, but maybe he didn't sincerely want to give himself to jesus. so as soon as he was tempted, he didn't know how to receive the power of god to resist that temptation. >> reinhard: you know, faith is not just a mental act. faith is a commitment. >> joyce: i love that, you know, and today in our society, very few people want to get really committed to anything. we have all kinds of people that live together
5:38 am
that aren't married. why? because they really don't want to make a commitment. they think, "well, i'm just gonna try this out and see how it's gonna work before i make any kind of a commitment." but god wants us to make a commitment to him, to say, "i believe that your word is true, i believe you love me, i believe you sent your son to die for me, and i do believe that jesus said, i am the way, the truth, and the life. no man comes to the father but by me." there's not a bunch of different ways. there's one way, and when we wholly yield and give ourselves to that and say, "god, i want you in my life. come and fill my life and direct my life," then you're gonna have that power that you need to resist those temptations. that doesn't mean that we'll never sin or make mistakes, but we grow. we grow and become more and more like god every day. >> reinhard: it's like a marriage covenant. just like a marriage covenant that one has to be faithful.
5:39 am
committed means faithful. what would the bride say if he commits to be faithful 5 out of 7 days per week? i mean, that is absolute nonsense. it has to be a full commitment, and then it will really, really work. god makes it work if i commit myself thim, or if anyone commits themselves, because jesus said he will nobody refuse who comes to him. >> joyce: that's kind of a different way of saying what it means to repent. you know, the bible says if we repent and believe that we can be saved, and that repentance just means that you recognize that you have not been living the way that you should live. you've not been living according to god's will, but you're now willing to turn away from that, you're willing to make that commitment with god's help, to live the way he wants you to live. and an example that i like
5:40 am
to use is is, you know, when i married dave, i didn't have anything. i didn't have any money, but dave had a little money, so as soon as we got married, i had money. i didn't have an automobile, but dave had a nice, new automobile, so as soon as we got married, i had an automobile. but you know what? none of that was mine while i was dating dave. we had to get married. i had to sign on the dotted line. then his name became mine. now, we talk about having the power of the name of jesus at our disposal, but we're not gonna experience that power in our life if we're just kind of dating jesus for 25, 30 minutes on sunday morning. he wants us to say, "i'm committed to you. to you in spirit.ied i want to be like you and i want your will to be my will in my life." anyone that will really put their life in front of god and say, "take me just the way i am and make me what you want me to be,"
5:41 am
they're gonna have a wonderful change in their life. >> reinhard: and the truth is this, when the formula is said, you know, "for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer," and all that, and now i see you come to the marriage aar hand in hand with jesus, and jesus now gives his formula and his word, and he will add, "i will never leave you nor forsake you. i will never divorce you. i will be faithful to you. living or dying, no matter what, your creator is your husband." >> joyce: that's right, and he'll keep us from evil. if we trust god, he can even keep us from falling into those temptations that we face on a daily basis. but you know, i really just want
5:42 am
to say again that i've just been feeling very strongly lately, 'cause i've been thinking about this a lot, and i really believe that a lot of people, even who come to the point of being willing to pray with somebody, they want to receive jesus, they really do want to receive jesus, but they're not at a place yet where they want to commit themselves to god. and i think there's a big disconnect here that those of us in ministry need to begin addressing. some of the altar calls that we can give can sound so inviting that anybody in their right mind, well, you know, "have your sins foiven. jesus will be your best friend. you go to heaven when you die. 'll ke yr g," but that's not telling a person ytng aut ts coitme, and it's not a works of the flesh. we don't receive salvation because of anything we do, but we do need to have a heart that's open to receive that grace and be committed to the grace of god in our lives. >> reinhard: our "yes" to jesus,
5:43 am
as you rightly say, must be at the same time a "no" to sin. no human being can walk in two directions at the same time. it would tear him apart. repent means turn around 180 degrees, and instead of going downhill to eternal destruction, you go uphill to eternal life. that is what salvation is, a turnaround from darkness to light. >> joyce: you know, when we let jesus in our automobile of life, so to speak, he doesn't become the passenger. he becomes the driver and we become the passenger. and i think a lot of people want to add christ to their life and drive him around and have him there in case they get into some kind of an emergency, but they're not really willing to put their life on the line and say, "your will be done." but i do believe that we are at a time of change in history, and
5:44 am
a time when people are finding out that the way they're doing things is not working, they're not happy, they don't have peace, their lives are not fruitful, they're miserable. and i believe that there's even just a lot of people watching today that are at that point of surrender. and you know, the bible says, "by grace are you saved through faith, it is a gift of god; not of works lest any man can boast." there's nothing we can do to save ourselves. we're not even saved by our commitment. we're not even saved by our surrender, but receiving jesus, there has to be a place of emptiness in our life to say, "i'm willing to mpty of me and follow you." and so i think that today is a good day, and i appreciate the things that you've shared, and so then right now, if you'll stay with us, we're gonna show you a message that i shared about the most important decision that you will ever make at one of our conferences, and then i gna prawith you. joyce: i'm gonna take
5:45 am
a little bit of extra time herea teaching with you, and i know that many of you are alady saved. you've already received christ, but this will just remind you the amazing gift that god has given you and cause you to just be ever-so-thankful. and those of you that have not yet made that decision to surrender your life to christ and to receive him, this is especially for you tonight, to make that decision, because it is the greatest decision that you will ever make in your life, the greatest decision you will ever make in your life. now, i'm not gonna stand here and tell you that if you surrender your life to christ and you receive his life in you, that all of your problems will be and over and every day of your life will be easy after that. it would be foolish for me to tell you that, but i can say this, and i mean it. your worst day with jesus, your worst day with jesus will
5:46 am
be better than your best day ever was without him, amen? >> [applauding] >> joyce: now, come on, i want some folks to get that, and maybe some of you watching by tv right now. everything's not gonna be perfect, but if you don't have christ in your life, then everything you're going through right now, you're going through it alone, and you have no answers. you don't know the way out, but jesus said, "i am the way. i am the way." your worst day with jesus will be better than your best day ever was without him. "everybody has sinned and come short of the glory of god," every single person. so if you're a sinner, you're mans 3:23 says,an anybody else. "all have sinned, and come short of the glory of god." so if you're a person here
5:47 am
tonight and you're a sinner, and maybe you're even what the bible calls an especially wicked sinner--i would have fit into that category. how many of you would have easily fit into that category? i mean, whatever i do, i do it with my whole heart, and so i was not sinning part-time. i mean, i was after it full-time. now i'm after god full-time. but, "all have sinned and come short of the glory of god," and i want you to remember, if you think you're the worst person in this room tonight, you're not, and no matter how deep of a pit you're in, the bible says that "god's arm is not shortened that it cannot save," and i love that. god's got a long arm and no matter how deep your pit is, he can reach down in it tonight and lift you out. "all have sinned and come short of the glory of god; therefore all are offered the free gift of righteousness
5:48 am
through the blood of christ." if you've committed sins and you have not received forgiveness for those sins, then you are in a serious situation. because isah 59, verse 2, says that "our iniquities separate us from god. our iniquities separate us from god," and that's the last person we ever want to be separated from. sin will destroy you. it will enslave you. it will tempt you and then make you feel guilty for the very thing that it tempted you to do. sin will tell you it's the best thing that you could ever have, and then it will stand back and laugh at you when you're destroyed, amen? jesus has provided an answer for sin. we do not have to live under
5:49 am
the burden of sin. now, even after you receive christ, you will still make mistakes. you will still sin, but your sins are forgiven, the past ones, the present ones, and the future ones. when jesus died on the cross for you, he died for you and for me before we were ever born. the bible says, "while we were still yet sinners," and far away from god, not caring at all about him, having no interest in him at all, "he died for us." that's why it's evident that god's love for us and care for us is unconditional. it is not something we can earn or deserve or buy with our good works. so if you have just really messed up your life, don't make the mistake of thinking that now what you need to do before you can come to god is you need to do a bunch of good stuff and try to make up for that.
5:50 am
the truth is is no amount of your good works or my good works is ever enough to pay for sin. we needed a perfect sacrifice to pay for our sins. sin requires a sacrifice. sin requires payment. the justice of god must be met, and it can only be met with a perfect, sinless sacrifice, and that is jesus christ himself. what does it mean to be born again? doesn't mean that you get back in your mother's womb and get to come out all over again. it means that you are born again inside. there's more to you than what you look at when you look in the mirror. you see your body, but you are first and foremost a spirit.
5:51 am
you have a soul, which is your mind, your will, and your emotions, and you live in a body. you're a tri-part being. god is father, son, and holy ghost, god the father, god the son, god the holy ghost. when you receive christ as your savior, he comes to live in your spirit, in your spirit. the holy spirit brings the presence of god into our lives. there is a peace, a life force. we receive the life of god. the kind of life that god has comes from the greek word zoe, and it's just not a breathing life, but it's a life as god has it. so you may be breathing now and still just be totally dead on the inside.
5:52 am
but when you receive christ, then you become alive there's a hope that comes to us, a joy, a peace. if you do not have christ in your life, there is nothing else that is gonna satisfy you. now, you say, "well, what about all the stuff i have to give up?" well, okay, misery, hangovers, being full of bitterness, resentment, unforgiveness. hating people, you might need to give that up somewhere down t road, but there's none of that that you even have to give up right now tonight. all you need to do is just receive, receive, receive, receive, receive. receive the love of god, receive a new nature, receive the righteousness of god. i'm not inviting you to join a religion. i am inviting you
5:53 am
into an intimate, personal relationship with god, intimacy with god. you see, we might say that although god is everywhere all the time, we might say officially that he lives in two places. he has a throne in heaven, but he wants to come and also live in your heart. you become, and this still amazes me--the bible says that we become the home of god. how beautiful is that? we become the home of god. so maybe you've never made this commitment, or maybe you're a backslidden person and you've tried to serve god and you're walked away from him, and you're ready to really make a commitment. maybe you understand it better after hearing what i said tonight. or maybe you're just a good ol' religious person. those can be scary sometimes. here's the reason, 'cause they think, "well, i go to church."
5:54 am
do you know that you can go to church and not be saved? just following ritualistic rules and regulations is not salvation. i'm asking you tonight, do you know him? is he living in you? amen. if you want that prayer tonight, if you say, "i'm one of the people that you're talking to tonight," then i'm gonna ask you to do something bold. in just a moment, i'm gonna ask you to stand on your feet, and you might say, "well, i don't want to get up in front of people." well, here's the reason why we ask you to do it. if you won't take a bold stand in here in front of people like us, there's no way you're gonna go out in the world and take a stand out there, so i'm not gonna let you sneak into the kingdom of god, i want you to come in boldly. and those of you watching by television, if you're home alone and you pray this prayer with us tonight, you tell somebody.
5:55 am
you get on your phone and you call my office and you say, "i received christ as my savior." we need to believe it in our heart and confess it with our mouth, so if that's you tonight and you're ready to make that surrender, stand up on your feet right now, one, two, three, up up up up, all over the building. come on, up, up up up, wonderful. >> [applauding] >> joyce: wow, oh, thank you, jesus. thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. amazing. amazing. now, listen, i want you to imagine this. we have people standing with us in india. we have people standing in africa, in asia, in vietnam, all over the middle east, in turkey, in iraq, in iran, in afghanistan. we have people standing with us all over the world right now to receive christ. this is a great night.
5:56 am
now, let us pray. everybody pray with me. don't mumble, pray. "father god, i love you." >> audience: [responding throughout] >> joyce: "i need you. jesus, i believe in you. i believe that you died for me. that you shed your blood f me. that you paid for my sins. and that you rose from the dead. and you are alive right now. i'm sorry for my sins. i repent. i turn away from them. and i come toward you.
5:57 am
i receive you now, jesus. right now. into my heart. to be with me forever. i need your power. i need your help. thank you for loving me. thank you for forgiving me. i have a brand-new start. i believe i'm saved. i'm on my way to heaven. and i'm gonna enjoy the journey. amen." amen, amen, amen, amen.
