had to do air monitoring. breaking news in boston: a stabbing has happened near the park street station and the boston common. the call came in around 3:30. we'll update you as soon as we know more. over hampton beach, a hotel went up in flames earlier this afternoon. it happened on ocean boulevard. firefighters worked to make sure the flames didn't spread to any other buildings. there are no reports of injuries. in woburn, a serious crash. a car rolled onto the onramp of 128 north. the driver suffered a serious injury. the roads have been opened. police are investigating an accident where a pickup truck was struck by another vehicle. the accident happened wednesday evening. the driver of the pickup was transported to mga with serious injuries. according to witnesses, the other driver appeared to be under the influence.

this was shut down so crews to clear up the mess. there is work to prevent a slippery situation by cleaning leaves off the trails. a high pressure washer, 50 gallons of water per minute, clears leaf residue, so crews don't have to use the brakes more than necessary. >> just like you have challenges with the weather, you have to reduce your braking because of reduced traction on the roads, same with us. >> the work on the rails should prevent delays due to wet leaves throughout the fall. in texas, a couple under the gun as a furious driver points a shotgun right at them before going on the attack. the couple says the driver was putting other drivers in danger, and when they tried to do something about it, there was trouble.

a light wind off the cool ocean waters bringing temperatures down for the evening. but we had lots of sunshine today. high pressure has been in control, keeps the clouds from forming. but this will change things up as we get into tomorrow. clouds start to move in as we move overnight into the early hours of tomorrow morning. still, without the clouds, the temperatures will have time to crash overnight tonight. i'm still thinking a cool night, not necessarily mild. we stay dry until the afternoon hours, but that's when the showers start to push it. scattered showers. there will be dry moments. it doesn't like like a washout. from 2:00 in the afternoon until 9:00 at night, we will see scattered showers, even thunderstorms. it doesn't look likely; we just can't rule it out. if we see thunderstorms pop in there, there is a possibility of some
