chim is accused of raping d murrerring his math teacher two years ago when chism was 14679 his minutessal state was called in question after a court psychologist said he claimed to be hearing voices in his head and she saw chism banging his head on the floor of his cell. on wednesday a court officer said chism refused to appear in the courtroom. he is facing life in prison if he is convicted. attorneys have suggested he was legally insane at the time of the killing. but the prosecution says chism's actions are simply an act. now the court order says during his stay at the worcester facility, chim must be held in a locked adult unit. and not allowed any where in secured. the latest live from salem, i'm byron barnett, 7 news. >> 7 news turning to the forecast. headed to a downward spiral. despite the sun, cooler

>> also on. a southbridge teacher is accused of sending nude photos of himself to a teenager and that teacher is free on bail. judge. rhine rhine is heredown ryan schulteis with here. >> reporter: the man pleaded not guilty to sending nude pictures of student. he tried to hide his face this morning. police say the teacher sent pictures to the students through a private message on face book. today a judge ordered the man to have no unsupervised contact with children under is of. he was arrested after a school official overheard students talking about the incident and told police. >> the student had never communicated back to the teacher. never said anything, just reminded silent. when he got images there was never a response. >> tonight he is free on bail. the southbridge school district says he is no longer employed. officials have rescued a no trespassing order through police. >> a former dorchester

hockey coach is facing troubling new charges. robert richardson was in court today where he was faced with three counts of raping a child. the d.a.told the court that the abuse began back in 1991 when the youth coach took interest in the then 13-year-old victim. the victim told family and friends about the alleged abuse in the past but told police just last year. richardson returns to court next month. a lowell police officer has resigned after he was caught on camera sleeping on the job. the officer was originally placed on administrative leave while the department investigated. what had happened there. the police superintendent has called the photo embarrassing. >> now on 7 -- the president back tracking on a promise. >> afghan forces are still in the as strong as they need to be. >> announcer: u.s. troop withdrawal on hold porch u.s.' combat mission in afghanistan may be over our commitment to afghanistan and its people endures. >> announcer: the combat mission in afghanistan

off neighborhoods in an effort to stop stabbings. the palestinians have been glorifying on social media, police say palestinians have been calling for more attacks on-line. scottish prosecution have identified two new suspects in the 198 bombing of pap am flight 103. a scottish spokesman says the two unnamed libyans who were involved in the attack. the plane was flying from london to new york when it exploded above southern scotland 27 years ago, more than 270 people were killed. there only one suspect was ever convicted in connection with the attack. the system to screen airline passengers against terror watch lists is back up and running today after a glitch forced delays ats major airports last night. you might have been affected. the outage affected airplanes including logan airport. offices with customs and border protection used other passengers.
