outside a packed t station sends people run being for safety . one gunshot and six or seven shots . it all started inside the forest hills t station during rush hour. police say two groups started fighting when one person pulled out a gun. police say they didn't care who saw them or who got in their way. the t station with uni uniformed police officers on scene, cameras, it's unbelievable . a t cop started running out of the station and going over there . the suspects in their late teens, early 20's poured out on to washington street and opened fire. i give a lot of kudos to my officers for not firing into the traffic or crowds . no one was hurt a man and a woman arrested, one gun found. police continue searching for the other suspects and the other weapons . they just don't care about other people and about the safety of our patrons and employees and folks just trying to go to work or school . guns in the wrong hands .

giraffe from the zoo. since we're on the animal theme pretty cute there, current temperatures right around 60 degrees and that really season seasonable for this time of year but we did have a front push through earlier this morning. it even brought some severe thunderstorms to cape cod and the islands as we work through the morning hours but now that front is gone, we're dry out there but we're seeing the feisty winds. those really kind of stay with us all weekend long with the temperatures dropping as we head through the weekend as well. you can see some showers and spot showers that are through upstate new york and albany but not even really making it through the connecticut river valley and with this next front, that is our next shot of that cold air, this really could be a blast of cold air. if you want to call it that because it's the coldest temperatures that we've seen so far. that is what is behind the next front. passing through tomorrow morning morning. those temperatures as you can see all of this dark blue here bleeding in from the north. now the good news here is it is not intense cold as you look around hudson bay.

joe staple ton, 7 news. >> anchor: a team of students at the university of washington is trying to make pros theic limbs a lot more affordable . they use desk-top computers video game controller and 3 d er to reinvent technology that allows amputees to gain some ability . there are other ways we can do this . >> reporter: when a team of students decided to transform technology inside prosthetic limbs, they first wept shopping . egg here was bought from amazon . they didn't spend all that much . $500. their task, crow can the a pros thesis much cheap are than . the robotic arms currently in use all cost between $30 and 60,000, sometimes even more . you basically slip it on . this 200 arm band was just what they needed. it was designed to control video games or power point presentations but by sending its signals through a cheap desk-top computer, the students figured out they could manipulate this
