>> announcer: this is 7 news at 4:30. >> we begin with breaking news. sky 7 h.d.live over center street in jamaica plain where one person has been stabbed. it happened near the jackson square t. stop. it's closed. we'll get you pictures in a second. we go to tim caputo live on the scene with more on what is going on there. >> reporter: a number of police officers here.

we do know one person was stabbed a short time ago. likely at the t. stop. that person was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. a number of police officers have scoured the area. we've seen police dogs searching as well. no arrests have been made but they have at least temporarily shut down the jackson square t. station, if you are taking the orange line you will skip over the stop as police continue their investigation into this serious stabbing that happened here. again that victim was taken to hospital with life-threatening injures. much more information on the person that was' injured but police continuing to search the area likely for any evidence but potentially for the suspect aswell. it does not appear any arrests have been made. no word how long this investigation will keep the orange line stopped but this appears to be the beginning of a lengthy investigation.

>> also today damage done, east bridgewater police investigating after vandals damaged the soccer felts on belmont street. a vehicle was used to tear up the fields. >> police are looking at culprit. john juke cuke orbs has the latest -- john cuoco has more. >> reporter: there will be soccer practice on these fields. these fields have been patched up. a much different look than earlier this week. >> it was heart-breaking. >> reporter: police still trying to find who ever sped on to the soccers fields causing thousands of dollars of damage shredding the green grass, leaving deep tire marks. they say it happened street. >> you see some come up and do thissage of damage in 20 minutes it's horrible. >> reporter: bill is a town selectmen and treasure of the youth soccer association. he says this has happened before but never as bad as this. police called him sunday

morning when the tracks were first spotted. >> there were probably maybe 8, 10-inch ruts in the middle of the field. fields. fields weren't playable. >> reporter: crews have since fixed it up as best they can but not before the sheriff's department took pictures of the scene as well as the tire marks left by the driver. hundreds of children use these fields every week. so for someone to do something like this, it is disappointing for bowling -- dowlinging and others to donate their money to keep them in shape. >> we're going to look into putting up barrier, you know, installing additional cameras amend lighting up here to make sure it doesn't happen again. >> reporter: again security cameras did catch all this but police say they're not ready to release video just yet. >> new here at 4:30 the pennsylvania mother who triggered an amber alert by bringing her son to a boston

from custody. tiffany cherry appeared in a courtroom. the amber alert was issued on saturday when the mother failed to bring her son to a hospital in pennsylvania. a judge released here but she is due back in court in december. a woman in barre is facing her 9th due. she was arrested on sunday. her blood alcohol level was nearly three times the legal limit. she is also charged with neglect driving for having an open container of alcohol in her vehicle. >> a local cat with nine lives surviving a trip trapped under the hood of a car. rescuers say the cat was next to the car's hot engine. but with the engine off the driver knew something was wrong. we have how the cat is doing. >> reporter: inside the hood of this car, a cat's stow away. >> come here. >> reporter: animal control called to the mcdonalds after chrissa heard noises.

>> i heard a, i thought it was a cat meow but at first i thought it was something from inside mcdonalds that i guess strange halloween noise. >> reporter: there deep in the come pat of the this -- compartment. >> it was in a tiny tight space on top of the front axle. >> reporter: he hitched a ride. he travelled from her framingham home roughly six miles to ashland before making the discovery. >> i was having a little bit of an attack there. >> reporter: after tinkering -- >> they had to remove the air cleaner and you know some parts on the top of the epping inso we could -- engine so we could make enough room to reach down. we maneuvered her back and forth until the cat came lose. >> reporter: this furry guy was free. >> no blood. just it was a good shape but a little bit of a limp. >> reporter: animal control just wants to make sure this passenger's next ride is the one that will take him home again. >> okay. we'll let you be. >> reporter: again animal

control is looking for this cat's owner. a likely from framingham since that is where the journey began. if you recognize the cat or know who its owner is give animal control a call. in ashland, susan tran, 7 news. >> police in mexico have arrested six people accused of helping el chapo accuse hisser brother-in-law is one of the six people facing charges. guzman is mexico's most wanted fugitive. dozens of people in his home region are protesting abuse by country's navy. they say the navy has conducted violent raids in the area during the hunt for guzman. residents say the raids have been so bad many people have left the region. >> john kerry is casually on the misstic of lowering tensions between israelis and palestinians. he spoke with israel's prime minister. nine israelis and 48 palestinians have been

killed in the latest round of violence. >> i hope one of the perceptions of everybody engaged that there is a way to diffuse the situation and begin to find a way forward. >> secretary kerry will meet with palestine's president on saturday. >> checking stories making news across country, family members and lawyers of a florida man killed by a plain clothes police officer are speaking out on his investigation. lawyers say the family met with the statates attorney who said the victim corey jones, never fired the gun he was armed with. they also said the police officer didn't have a badge on him. the family wants more answer and have only seen one side of the story. >> they made it clear the officer did give a statement. statement is recorded. they didn't share that with us, they told us and it's just the officer's version. they're cautious because they still have to match the forensic evidence. as of now you have one account of what happened.

case is that we can't get corey's version. >> the family has said this isn't a black lives matter issue and supporters of the family have peacefully protested outside the courthouse. 42 handguns stolen from a store in florida. at least three thieves broke through a wall into the store. video capturing them loading the duffle bags full of guns. the serial numbers of the guns have been recorded so police can try to track them down. police are trying to identify the burglars. >> today we're getting a first-hand look at the terrifying moments following a shooting earlier this month on the campus of northern arizona university. authorities released police body camera video showing officers arriving at the scene. one person was killed in the attack and three others injured.
