discovered a male, 30 years of age, with gunshot wounds to the torso and upper body . >> reporter: the area remains sealed off with yellow police crime tape for hours where the search was on for a suspect on the run. the shooter reason through the parking lot in the direction of the western avenue and we obviously still looking for that individual. >> reporter: detectives now coaling through individual ohio from several surveillance videos on cameras around the crime scene. for karen sloan all of this is unnerving especially in a section of the city where violence like this simply doesn't happen . they are working families, you know? kids go to school in the morning morning. come back home in the afternoon. you know, usual, typical every day life. you know? to hear something like this, it really does make things really too close to home. >> reporter: police can't say for sure if the victim was targeted here but they are appealing to the public for anybody who saw anything unusual

a student brought a loaded gun inside. boston police had two cruisers parked outside of tech boston academy this morning. investigators say yesterday a student tried to skip the school school's metal detectors and that's when officers found a loaded gun in his backpack. he is now facing several charges charges. and list in bellingham are looking for a bank robber on the run. workers tell police the man in these surveillance pictures handed him a note yesterday morning demanding money and stating he had a gun. the man got away with some cash. thankfully no one was hurt . >> anchor: there are new details today about the manhunt for the notorious drug lord known as el chap oh. mexico's marines raided at least two houses yesterday. the kingpin whose real name is g gjoaqin guzman but official say he injured his face and leg while trying to run aescaped from i a high security prison back in july getting out through a mile loan turn will he dropped in from his cell.

discovered a drug tunnel linking warehouses in in the u.s. and mexico. it stretched 2600 feet between san diego and tijuana mexico. it's one of the long of the ever built under the border. u.s. authorities say marijuana seized had an estimated street value of nearly $6 million. this untell unlike others does not have the scare case and ladders and we believe they were using a pulley system of some sort to bring the drugs up from the tunnel. the u.s. attorney says this was the 10th large scale drug tunnel found in the san diego area since 2006 . >> anchor: new detail in the deadly sword attack inside a school in sweden. police say the attacker had a racist motive. they are calling it a hate crime based on what they found inside his house. the way he dressed and the way he selected his victim. the 21-year-old masked man stabbed four people before police shot and killed him. this picture showed him posing with students who thought he was just wearing a costume before he continued his killing spree.

>> anchor: checking stories now making news across country and police have arrested a salt lake city couple after a teacher found a meth pipe in an 8 8-year-old student's book bag. deputies went to the student's home yesterday. they found the couple in the students grandmother. police say they all had been using narcotics. sometimes around young children inside the home. there was a cars pillow from the disney movie and he lifted that up and there was this item of paraphernalia under the pillow where kids had been sleeping . the couple was arrested on suspicious of child endangerment endangerment. 's grandmother was not immediately arrested due to health concerns. a box truck dangling over the edge of the chesapeake bay bridge in maryland this morning. the driver was involved in a multi vehicle crash that shut down the eastbound lanes of that bridge. fire crews say that no injuries were reported there. a very wet morning for one new york city neighborhood following a big watermain break. that's a guiser, isn't it? officials say the watermain apparently broke ought a construction site this morning in queensland.

this stuff is incredible. wait until you see more. it's considered the world's largest and most elaborate display of lego art with more than 100 pieces on display. >> reporter: the , reics from easter ilan, dinosaurs from a world long past and even the world itself more than 100 works of art all made from something the majority of us played with as children. yes, i had lego bricks as a kid. in fact, when i was very young i wanted to get a dog and my parents said you are not getting a dog so i built myself a life size lego dog. nathan is the creator of art of brick. he took an unusual path to lego art starting as a corporate lawyer in new york to pay the bills. he left the firm to build, glue and impress full-time. if someone goes it a museum and sees a marble shatt statue they can appreciate it. they go home that night they probably don't have a slab of marble they can chip away at. but people have lego bricks at home. >> anchor: and one museum in ohio plans on having legos on

right? with the yellow top, right? >> anchor: i don't know what it was called. . . >> anchor: however many years ago. i won't give it a i will look it . . >> anchor: a beautiful day outside today am a little windy . >> anchor: and bree, the wind is going to taper off as we go . >> anchor: the cool air though staying with us. now i want to take you away from home though because big weather headline and it will be not just now but throughout the weekend. this is hurricane patricia making records. the strongest hurricane on record. that's the strongest storm for the western hemisphere and you can see the eye that is quickly approaching that southwestern coast of mexico here in the eastern pacific. it is expected to make landfall within the next three hours moving north at about 12 miles per hour right now but packing quite a punch with sustained winds, 200 miles an hour. that is comparable and can do damage comparable to an ef five tornado.

western hemisphere, the minimum pressure right now just below 88 880 millibars and that's not far off from the record holder world wide which was typhoon tip. you can see 870 millibars. i don't think we'll get there. nevertheless though, we are talking about this storm all over the place. category five hurricane to make landfall as a cat five. but then it will get torn apart about as quickly as it strengthened overnight last night as we head through the next 24 hours you can see tropical cyclone to just a recommend low by the time we hit 5:00 p.m. tomorrow night with wind speeds of 25 miles per hour so that is rapid deintensifi deintensification we'll see as we head in through tomorrow. here we go with the time line rolling up with the storm surge. a main concern here. wind speeds of course and flooding rainfall also pulling in some moisture from the gulf of mexico into texas which is why there are flood warnings and watches up all across that southeastern side of texas as we head through the weekend as well well.

believe it or not, some of that moisture could get coiled up into new england as we hit the end of the coming week and it could give us this soaking rain we need. those a few days off so let's take it back to right now. the present here in boston. 51 degrees right around 50 for most spots. 45 worcester and that's not all that bad if you are bundle up but it is 20 to even 25 degrees cooler than where we were at 24 hours ago. again the breeze has been with us and north to northwesterly breeze that's made it feel even chillier. wind fades tonight, 30 to 40 degrees for most and into tomorrow, a slight boost in the temperatures but it will feel better because we have less wind wind. looks like party cloudy to mostly cloudy skies with highs generally between 50 and 55 degrees. now as we get into sunday, we are expecting a little bit of rain but it won't be too significant. i want to run you through the time line here. you can see this is our next system that is approaches with a front to bring us some of that rain. again, only on sunday morning

how honored she was and excite i cried and cried. i was so happy for her . >> anchor: so you might ask why do we care about one high school school's homecoming queen? because madison cares so much about her . i wasn't focused on me winning. i was more focused on making sure she had the opportunity to win. since she won it was a in high heart . madison is in the band, gets good grades and is very popular but she happens to be blind and suffering from cerebral palsy. if you have a bad day because you see her she turns it into a good day because she encourages and sends out a life love. she brightens your day. you saw her name on list and knew she deserved it and circled it and everybody felt that way so she deserved to be homecoming queen . when she was elected to be homecoming queen is and then i held my breath and then he is like miss madison tyler.
