millions are in her path, reports are that hotels are evacuating right now. let's get right to bri eggers tracking patricia. adam and elizabeth it's been mesmerizing can't take our eyes off of this. watching the eye of the storm this is just textbook perfect imagery that we're seeing here with this massive and very power powerful storm. you watch the eye though it seems to at least disappear a touch and i think those wind speeds are going down at current wind speeds right now 190 miles per hour so it's not far off from 200 but it looks like the storm is starting to weaken. it will do so much more intense intensely as we head through the overnight hours but still it has made one for the record books. strongest on record for the wherein hemisphere so we can technically call to the strong strongest hurricane. minimum pressure earlier today, 879 millibars not far off from the worldwide record holder for a tropical cyclone typhoon tip

category five hurricane to make landfall as we head through the next three, maybe four hours on that southwestern coast of mexico and as we head through the overnight hours, i mentioned this storm dies down about as quickly as it intensified last night. tropical cyclone as we get into the next, tropical storm, excuse me action we get into the next 24 hours it's already a remnant low by tomorrow evening. nevertheless though, packing a punch with the storm surge, with the wind speeds and with the flooding rains that we're expect expecting here. as we head through the time line you can see even more moisture that's getting pulled into texas from the gulf of mexico joins up with that so we will be waving for the flooding threat on that southeastern side of texas and in the deep south all weekend long. now we'll also get a look at how this moisture could impact our forecast getting into this week. that's coming up about ten minutes from now . >> anchor: a state of emergency in effect and people are trying desperately to get out ahead of the storm. tim caputo continues our coverage of record breaking

storm . >> anchor: near the eye of that storm winds are comparable to an ef 4 and ef five tornado as high as that scale goes. this massive powerful hurricane has potential to cause catastrophic destruction along the coast of mexico. a view from the international space station and you can understand why patricia is now the largest and strongest hurricane ever recorded. the monster category five storm is expected to make landfall near the resort city of puertova puertovallarta in several hours. it hassustained winds of 200 miles per hour. mexican authorities issued a state of emergency and advise people to move as far inland as possible. this hurricane will effect effectively be the most intense hurricane that has existed in this part of the pacific in our country since records began in 1949. >> anchor: more than 7 million people will be directly affected when the some makes landfall later tonight including tens of

penetrated his heart and unfortunately mr. raymond expired at about 4:30 early this morning. we're told this all started as a fight between raymond and another teen and was kept hidden behind a door in court . initially just fists with appear to be punching . according to prosecutors the 16-year-old suspect upped the ante . it was a fist only no weapons fight before he introduced the knife. ed entire fit was caught on video. that video was used to track the suspect to his home in dorchester where he was arrested early friday morning. while with police, the prosecution says he confessed to everything. he admitted bing in there. he admitted to having the knife on him. he admitted to having a problem with the victim. the suspect's attorney says his client is a student at brighton high and is pat of a program to help at risk youth get jobs. he was also scheduled to start work today at or rather on

was really easy to buy on-line . it was what justin and his wife were looking for. a new dryer for his mother right there on k-mart's web site . she kept complaining about going to the laundromat and we thought it would be a ties spice spice. she was talking about it on thanks giving, we were like oh great we can get her that for christmas . they bought the $300 dryer and a few days later drove to the k-mart in fitchburg to pick it up. within we got there they said we they didn't have the dryer and we already picked it up. >> reporter: they were shocked shocked. they didn't pick up the dryer but the cuter system showed they had. unable to iron out the problem, the albano it's left the story handed . they said i think somebody might have pressed a wrong button so you can just call us back tomorrow? justin called the next day, still no answers. in fact, he continued calling for months trying to get his money back. i am getting multiple stories. i am getting it has been cancel,

at one point, they even filed a dispute with their credit card company. credit card company was telling me that they needed me to prove that i don't have a dryer from k-mart. which is very strange thing to request. >> reporter: another dead end. no dryer, no refund and after nine months justin felt left out to dry . i was like i don't even care anymore. i am just done . but amanda wasn't done. we decided to give it a spin. hi, this is kris anderson. we reached out to k-mart's parent company, sears holdings and explained the situation. the person we spoke with said she would look into the problem and a couple of days later justin received a phone call. the manager from k-mart was like, all right, come down. we'll give you your money. i was like you can put it back on my credit card. there it was . the following monday the

the good news is already seeing it deintensify as we head through the last few hours. the most recent update has those wind speeds down from 200 to 190 mile-per-hour sustained winds still moving north-northeast at about 14 miles per hour and the pressure in the eye has risen just a touch. so again, weakening. this is good news and once it does make landfall, that doesn't happen until the eye actually makes landfall within the next couple of three hours i think. it will happen between 8:00 and 9:00 p.m. tonight of we'll see that storm just weaken very quickly, about as fast as it blew up last night and by the time we hit 24 hours from now those wind speeds are down to 25 miles per hour but still part a punch with a whole lot of rain expected all through the weekend and you can see that moisture that's also being pulled in from the gulf of mexico, coupling with the moisture from patricia and her recommend low that will form for the weekend that is

southeastern coast of texas that already prompted some flash-flood warnings and also some flash-flood watches basically from houston to dahls and baton rouge, louisiana to corpus kristi. all eyes in that area as we head through the weekend believe it or not some of that tropical moisture could even head in our direction bringing a good chance at a soaking rain as we get into the end of next week. now current temperatures 50 degrees or so, it is a touch below average but you noticed quit a change because it's 20 to 25 degrees cooler than where we were at 24 hours ago. we've had that breeze coming out of the northwest and northesty much throughout the entire day today. so you notice that as well. bundling up with those layers. overnight tonight 30 to 40 degrees close are you get to the city of boston and tomorrow partly cloudy to mostly cloudy. we will have less wind and those temperatures get a touch of a boost. still below normal but not a bad

as we put on the layers and bundle up. here is the next system we look for though and this doesn't hit us head on but it does drag through a cool front and that could mean showers as we get into sunday morning. so heading through the time line here, you can see those ocean effect clouds, possible low a brief sprinkle that could show up into tomorrow. i only give that about a 10% chance of seeing any drops tomorrow. then as we get into sunday, there is that wave of those showers early in the morning on sunday, clearing out by the time we make it to the pats game. you may not need rain gear unless you are playing an early tailgate. 7 on 7 temperature staying fairly consistent and there is that soaking rain. i was talking about. wednesday into thursday. we'll see you in a bit. >> anchor: he can be silly sometimes making a big-time qb sneak . >> anchor: not on the fool field. instead at a local grocery store store. qb 12 has been working with a
