hospital with non- non-life-threatening injuries. thankfully they got there and it sounds like just in the nick of time. windy afternoon out there. but win are going to calm down. it will be a nice very fall like weekend but bree, you are also keeping an eye on a very large storm. into the record books with hurricane patricia still a category five hurricane that just intensified rapidly overnight. you can see about 25 miles off the eye is right now. it takes the eye to make it across the coastline before that hurricane has technically made landfall. nevertheless, it's packing a punch with those sustained wind speeds at about 190 miles per hour at this point moving north-northeast at 14 miles per hour so within the next two hours or so, i think before 8:00 that's when we will have technical landfall with this massive storm. now once that happens though, the storm will cross over mountain ouster rain and it will get ripped apart from the top by
5:48 pm
wind sheer as well and so it will dissipate very quickly within the next 36 hours it becomes remnants of a tropical low as we move in through the week. nevertheless, we'll still be talking about it all weekend long. not only because of the damage it will likely cause as it does make landfall but also about the topical moisture that's packing a long with it into texas and the deep south through this weekend which is leading to flooding concerns, they have already been see a whole lot of rain there off that southeastern coast of texas. so keeping an eye on that all weekend long. back here at home a dry forecast for us at least for tonight and tomorrow. right now. but a big difference from just 24 hours ago. 20 to 25 degrees of cooling in just a day. what a difference a day can make plus, yes, adam and liz talked about the winds we did have breezy to even windy conditions all day today and it's coming from a cold air source so we're talking about a chilly breeze. the wind fades overnight tonight mostly clear skies, temperature
5:49 pm
between 30 and 40 degrees and then tomorrow less wind. so this makes a difference. 49 to 55 for those highs general generally speaking i think we will make it above the 50 degree mark but this is still below normal for this time of year of we should be shooting closer for those upper 50's for afternoon highs. now just some clouds out there right now, part low cloudy skies as we get into this weekend. we turn our attention to this weather system. this is what swings through some showers as we work into sunday but if you have big plans for the game, and you had those plans since this summer when you bought tickets, don't worry. it's dry for game time. so running through time line here you see those clouds that are sneaking in from the east tomorrow. yeah, ocean effect clouds. possibly even a sprinkle but i give that five to a 10% chance. it is mostly dry for everyone tomorrow. it's sunday morning that we see those showers push on through and again, dry for game time with temperatures about 60 degrees as we work into sunday. here is a look at the 7 on 7 forecast. i think we've got a good shot at a much needed soaking rain as we
