be gone here along route 20 but the heart ache remains, so tonight family and friend, co-workers and also emergency responders are shaken to the core. shaken after a fatal crash claimed the life of a mother and her infant son. >> very difficult day. >> reporter: state police say 31-year-old christinea russin of sturbridge and her son died as a result of monday's horrific crash along route 20 in oxford. noah passed away this morning. her 2-year-old's son remains hospitalized. >> really bad. >> they're in the car, how many -- >> i don't know. there is a baby, we tried to pull -- >> reporter: police releasing the frantic 911 calls after investigators say russin's car crossed the certainty line slamming no a cement truck before crash nothing a third car. the injured driver of that s.u.v. says he tried to rescue the mother and her

>> first baby out, still when i was trying so hard to get the first one out. >> reporter: russin works here in worcester at you inc. as a counselor. >> a real sense of loss. christina was very invested in the kids. she worked very well with them. >> reporter: 24 hours after the crash, state troopers were back on route 20 looking for answers. and a memorial grows in memory of the victims. the fire chief says she has had it. calling on highway officials to fix the road once and for all. >> i'm tired of going on route 20. tired of dealing with so much trauma and death on the highway and watching the families that suffer. >> reporter: injured 2-year-old son remains in critical but stable condition tonight. state police tell us he is expected to recover. as for the dangerous surf out here along route 20, we've been told that state highway officials plan to

let's get to ryan schulteis joining us with more. >> reporter: the sheriff says he doesn't believe race played a role in this but there is a civil rights investigation under way. the video shows the officer telling the girl to get up. when she refuses he flips her over and drags her across the classroom. the officer is on leave without pay. a decision on what will happen could come as early as tomorrow. the sheriff announced there is another video that hasn't been released. it tells a different story. >> show as different perspective. it actually shows the student hitting the school resource officer with her fists striking him. what she does is not what i'm looking at. what i'm looking at is what our school resource officer did. >> the sheriff says student was not hurt. shy is facing charges, there was one other girl also charged. apparently the girl screamed about what happens happening. ryan schulteis, 7 news. >> 7 news turning to a

police telling us robbers tied up and used a taser on two people. the two people attacked worked at a coin shop there and one of them had to go to the hospital. kelli o'hara live in stoneham covering the story for us, what did you learn? >> reporter: good evening, the brazen armed robbery happened as the store opened. we learned today this is not the first time this has happened. two people tazed then robbed as thieves made off with thousands of dollars in goods. >> we saw this place was tarted. >> reporter: tuesday monet colonial trading opened for business, a short while later two men walked in and took off with whatever they could get their hand on. their smash and grab was violent. >> both employees were zip tie and suspects took the gold coins and left the store. >> reporter: one employee rushed to the hospital. the other shaken but okay.

these are pictures from the store being robbed back in march. the chief tells 7 news thieves broke into the store late at night and mate off with at least $100,000 in goal and coins. investigators believe don't robberies are related but people are scared and hoping this never happens again. >> it's scary. just scared them to stop them. it makes it scary. look at -- well, look around, i got lots of expensive stuff here, too. >> run of -- one of the business owners said thieves drove their car into front of the building where they were' able to make off with more than $100,000 in goods. anyone with information is asked to call police as soon as possible. in stoneham tonight, kelli o'hara, 7 news. >> also on 7 two teens in trouble accused of wearing creepy, right. police say the suspect robbed a man.

>> reporter: this happened about 10:15 last night. a busy time with the t. stop right over there. the guys police say were wearing masks but it was no trick-or-treat and the gun they used was fake they say the robbery was real. boston police surround the man holding up a mask just like the one they take two men used robbing a man at gunpoint near the savin hill t. stop. here is 9 mask and fake gun police found. >> asalt with a deadly weapon, assault and battery -- [inaudible] >> reporter: the two suspects stayed out of sight in court. prosecutors aandronique dossantos and kostya ragin of needham heights are the pair who put on those masks and demanded the victim hang over money and his control phone. police say the pair grabbed a bag from the man and took off. the lawyer says they have problems with the arrest.
