first, their stories. >> reporter: meet 31-year-old bobby gill. once a year, he likes to run in his undies. he's persuaded thousands of people to do it with him. don't worry, it's all for a good cause. in 2010, bobby co-founded the valentine's day charity event, cupid's undie run. >> we knew what we wanted to do was put on an event that raised money for the children's foundation. they are doing phenomenal work for nf research. >> it has no cure and little funding. the run was inspired by his friend's youngest brother, drew. sadly, drew lost his 14-year battle with nf in august, at just 28 years old. the race to find a cure continues. >> we're a $5 million run. next year, let's bring in $10 million. we're going to keep going until we're out after a job. that'll be when we find a cure for nf. >> how were things today?

taking a look at the headlines. a new study finds that cholesterol lowering drugs may make flu shots less effective in older americans. researchers looked at adults over the age of 65 and found those who were taking these had a decreased immune response to the flu vaccine than those not taking statins. those taking statins should keep taking flu shots each year. your chances of survive ing ing cardiac surgery may be better if
