it as a vibration to a rumble to a bang. whatever it was apparently happened below. maybe in the basement of the elementary school here. investigators have more descriptions than explanations as they say they still don't know what caused the big bang. parents came running to the high school, looking for their kids after hearing reports of a big bang in the basement of the elementary school. faculty decided to get the kid out. >> you know, there was a loud noise in the basement. >> reporter: someone pulled the fire alarm, though. making sure everyone knew something was wrong. >> i heard the fire drill. and i was surprised. when i was in the gym. >> reporter: after students were bused over to the nearby high school, investigators tried to figure out what caused the bang. so far, they have found nothing. >> we looked at the electrical. we looked at the gas. we looked at blasting in the area.

incident happened at an elite prep school in may of 2015. his friends testified he told them he did have sex with the girl at st. paul's during a tradition called senior salute where older boys seek out younger girls before graduation. this was a 42-page filing with the court. the attorney has asked the judge for probation, saying owen labrie has suffered enough and will be a registered sex offender for perhaps his whole life. in concord, new hampshire, i'm jonathan hall, 7 news. >> the man accused of making

boston police removed the uxbridge man from the united airlines flight after he allegedly made bomb threats during the boarding process. 7's steve cooper live outside the courthouse. he joins us now with the very latest. >> reporter: this arraignment happening here in east boston a few minutes ago. we can tell you that the suspect, well, his attorney says at most, this is a case of somebody who used a poor choice of words. but before the judge, the judge called this a bomb threat onboard a flight and he says that's a serious charge. do you want to apologize for what happened? no comment on his arrest of making a bomb threat onboard a flight at logan airport. the 55-year-old from uxbridge pleads not guilty in east boston district court. the prosecutors say he told a flight attendant he had a bomb in his carry-on luggage while

>> anchor: interesting. this whole week, think about where you started off. really cold temperatures. we are getting into 0's now. >> jeremy: look at this right now. 71 in boston right now. norwood, 71. october can be kind of cookie, whacky. because you have remains from the summer. then you have winter that is just so excited to get going. so you go back and forth until you get diemer into fall where winter does take over eventually. right now this afternoon, a nice warm afternoon. a little bit on the windy side. winds gusting right now around 25 miles per hour. even back into the worcester hills, southwest new hampshire, jaffrey, a gust to 28 miles per hour. that is the kind of wind we have for the afternoon. but those numbers, that kind might add is not a damaging wind scenario. that was out here with this weather system. this portion of the weather system coming at us in two parts. part one did all the damage with the rain and the wind. most towns pick up between one and two inches of rain. even a little bit more. and then winds were gusting for some locations between

25-45 miles per hour. now here comes the back edge of the weather system. this is the cold front. this may lead to just one more round of a few isolated showers. again, until that cold front gets there, we have a sunny start to the afternoon. as the front races across southern new england, i do isolated showers. we had one in pepperell. that has fizzled out. out. it is much skinnier than what that came through overnight last night. if and when you get tagged by this, you know, the skies may open up briefly for a minute or two. then the whole thing, i think, is over in ten or 15 minutes. that is how quick it is going to be. your chance of showers this afternoon, about a 40% to 60%. i don't think everyone will see them. as we work late entire the again, this would apply to gillette, looks like we are going to dry things out. there is the cold front behind the front. it is not bitterly cold. but it's just back to where we should be for this time of year. in terms of afternoon temps.
