study that has even looked at this the there's absolutely no formal recommendation that if you are take aggrastatin you should forgo the flu shot, and if you are planning on getting the flu shot that you should saying that. >> there's a high-dose flu shot. important, approved last year there's a high-dose flu vaccine which is roughly four times as strong as standard dose. it is recommended for all people over the age of 65. it does boost the response to the vaccine and also has a modest effect on efficacy. next topic. >> yes. >> there was a study that read essentially as i read it low-fat diets don't really work. >> not the headline, not a good headline. >> what are we supposed to take from this. >> this was interesting, actually what we call a meta analysis over 63 randomized controlled trials on all these different dietary interventions. headline red low-fat diets don't work to lose weight.
7:43 am
that's not exactly true. the real find some things that low carb diets edged out low-fat diets in terms of weight loss, but real thing was low-fat diets actually do result in weight loss. it's just if you compare them to people who don't make any dietary intervention, that's where they really come out on top. it's kind of like if you think about a high -- put it this way. anything you do to try to lose weight is going to work. it really depends on the individual. if you want to do a low-fat diet, great, that's going to work for you. if you want to do a high-fat low carb diet that's probably going to work for you also as long as you're including exercise, physical activity and all those other things and you stick with it. >> just with the bottom line, if you say i'm going to go on a diet, should i do low carb or low-fat. >> seems like the low carb works better better. >> the low-carb works better over the low-fat but any diet will work as long as you stick with it. that's really take yoem. >> dr. natally azar, thank you so much. appreciate it.
