it won't happen again. again.. >> reporter: police say they don't think there is any connection between this vandalism and another mosque in 2013. they are investigating a third suspect they say was in the car that night but they are having further investigation to determine his exact involvement in the crime. live in woburn, dan hausle, 7 news . >> anchor: also breaking top, the u.s. navy has positively identified the wreckage of a missing cargo ship that sank in high seas during hurricane joaquin. the el faro was carrying 33 crew members when it just vanished including three people from massachusetts on board that vessel. tonight the mother of one of the victim is talking about today's developments. byron barnett live this brockton with what she had to say. byron? another sad day, very sad day for the mother of one of the el faro crew members as you said said. we spoke to her in brockton just a sht time ago. now the search crews found the 7 790 foot cargo ship in an up right position on saturday nearly three miles under water.

now the ship went down in september during hurricane joaquin, 33 people were on board including three crew members from massachusetts. that's kevin keith griffin of winthrop, jeffrey mathia and march yet wright of brockton of the today her mother told us this was her worst nightmare. she was bubbly, she was a riot. were crying. she was a very good kid, the worst thing she ever did was caught. >> anchor: mary said she as so proud of her daughter she said her daughter loved the sea but that now the sea has claimed her her. that's the story live from brockton, byron barnett, 7 news .

>> anchor: also on 7, the search is on right now for the person or people who attacked a high school football player over the weekend. the star athlete was stabbed hours after i football game as he was trying to protect someone someone. steve cooper is live in everett tonight. first of all, how is he doing? >> anchor: his condition actually we're told has improved from critical to stable condition all the while students here at the high school and the staff here remain very concerned about what happened over the weekend. they are anxious for answers tonight and anxious for an arrest. it was the town down by number nine that had everyone in everett celebrating until hours late ewhen the celebrating turned to shock after he had been stabbed in the street. really great kid, good grades, he not someone you expect this to happen to . >> reporter: he was rushed to mass general hospital in critical condition after being

claims a loved one had used to can't the drug dealer which sold him the drugs. no id's at this time but we do know both men facing drug charge charges are from lynn. >> anchor: now to a developing story tonight. both black boxes have been discovered in the wreckage of a plane that went down over the weekend. investigators combing for clues trying to figure out what happened here in the time moments of this doomed airliner airliner's flight overseas. all 224 people on board were killed and executive with the russian airline company blames an external influence here but isis claimed responsibility in a tweet. u.s. officials are not convinced though. investigators have two huge pieces of evidence to work with. the two black boxes night record recorders that russian investigators have been working with here all day in cairo. those two black books will eventually tell them and us a great deal about how this flight seemingly fell from the sky.

can't rule out at this time is whether or not there was an explosive device of some sort on the aircraft. >> anchor: we know the plane fell very quickly. that it broke apart in midair and that the pilots didn't issue a mayday call. the airline that operates the plane, metro jet, said earlier the only feasible reason for the plane's breakup in the air was some sort of impact. a mechanical or physical impact of the aircraft . this is the only explanation why there was not a single attempt to establish communication to report the emergency situation on board. the russian authorities came back quickly and said that claim wasn't true. they said that claim is premature and not grounded in real facts. dozens of investigators have been looking at the 12 different areas where major sections of plane came down looking for evidence of something explosive from inside the plane or indeed something that might have struck the plane from outside. most of the victim's bodies have been flown back to their families in russia. >> anchor: we have some break breaking news right now out of hopkinton. ken over halloween candy.

heathrow airport canceled more than 100 flights today. authorities issued warnings across the country as visibility fell to just about 300 feet. you can imagine that? i mean, passengers with flights to the uk are vie advised to call ahead and check their flight status . >> anchor: you know it has to be really serious if you are doing a new story on fog in london . >> anchor: that's like fog in the bay area . >> anchor: that's kind of weird weird. affecting travel, you know, . >> anchor: absolutely. for anybody that has a flight planned to london, not me. how about you, beat? >> anchor: nothing, kip, planned. air stagnation, that's what's going on there. the fog is pretty thick and it goes nowhere. warm pattern for us here in new england and the east and midwest the great lakes, eastern two-thirds the united states midweek dip and we would come back to a dip just a slight dip going from upper 60's back into the low 60's and maybe some upper 50's. no storms brewing. no nor'easter, all day rains or anything.

town ball brawler in hall frequent contribute to our twit twitter fee. beautiful skies out there, beautiful weather over the last couple of days. highs today middle 60's, pretty common. look at this from nash with to beverly, even worcester at low 60's 1,000 feet up. 64 in boston now falling back into the mid and upper 50's. some low 50's, starting to lead the back here through plymouth and plympton, carver, down into new bedford. the vineyard at 53 degrees. that despite a pretty thick cloud cover out there right now over the cape and islands. it's thinning out in the merrimac valley and southern new hampshire and will continue to thin through the night tonight. we'll go for mostly clear skies and we'll start it off tomorrow in the 40's. low 40's in some of the suburbs. maybe even some upper 30's then by 9:00, we peel away some of that cool air, full sunshine, bring us back to those mid 50's and then upper 60's in a stripe from nashua to norwood, all points between too. we could be close to 70 degrees by the time we roll into three or 4:00 and then we see the temperatures sag just a little

sun rise, sunset, these days, well, we turn the clocks back so we do get that hour earlier in the day so sun rise now at 6:18 that it was. now sunset at 4:36 and by the end of november that sunset is getting early. 4:13. so to be honest with you, when you look at this at face value we don't lose a whole lot of time on the sunset between now and mid december but we do lose a lot on the sun rise. it continues to whittle with a away on the sun rise and red sox like on sunset we use very little total in the next month we lose 58 miss. this is the time of year that we have to confront the issue of the solar winter. the shortest and darkest days of the month. of course the day is still 24 hours but you know what i'm talk talking about. darkest days, november to january. goes threw the especially of january and then february 1 we start the solar spring. reduce seratonin levels and it can trigger sometimes seasonal affective disorder too. mostly clear top, 40 to 50 a
