new hampshire investigating a hit and run that happened over the weekend. they are looking for the driver of a ford truck like the one that you see here, but the one involved may show damage. accident happened on saturday near the intersection of lafayette road and heritage avenue. investigators say that truck may have front headlight damage on the passenger side. >> anchor: worcester cats make a slow but surprising recovery. animal control rescued the cats from the same home this morning. they say the cats are in fairly good condition after some were found soaked in you run. most of thin and have matted coats. animal control says cats will be exam ined by a veterinarian tow. they say all cats are expected to survive . >> anchor: a family tragedy in connecticut as a man now faces murder charges accused of killing his own parents. investigators believe the 27 27-year-old's girlfriend was on board with the plan and today that couple faced a judge. police in westport, connecticut believe they cracked a murder case over the weekend. things happen everywhere

and it's hard to not question it. >> anchor: carl and his girlfriend are now in custody accused in the death of kyle's parents . it's a shock. a son killing his parents. we've seen it before but we haven't seen it in westport . >> anchor: jeffrey and jeanette disappeared in august. investigators searched their son son's home in bridgeport days later. he was arrested on a federal gun charge. but late last week human remains found outside a vacant home in weston, connecticut were identified as his parents. now kyle is set to be charged with two counts of murder and his girlfriend charged with conspiracy to commit murder. a former friend of jennifer valiant who didn't want to appear on camera said she had a drug addiction. people say kyle had a heroin problem and sent incrim naying tents to his girlfriend. in july he messaged her "wipe out the infection and get money for life." and "that will allow us to stay in our house for a few top line remodel and garage and have hundreds of thousands to buy a new car and enjoy life taking

friends, no suppress, no can't ever again." the ordeal leaves people shaking their heads . is that what money does? >> anchor: we know he is being held on 2.5 million bail . >> anchor: checking now across the country, investigators are trying to figure out what caused an explosive scene that leveled a house in michigan. the powerful blast shattered windows nearby and september debris flying and neighboring homes. police say one man was injured with severe burns. officers say a gas leak may have caused that blast but they are still investigating. a dangerous drive in philadelphia today as a tractortrailer crashes in a city bus. you can see it right there of the bus sprawled across all lanes of the street. the truck smashed through a store front several people were brought to the hospital. police are working to integrity out what wassed that crash. a mom becomes a candy crook while truck or treeing in california. you can see her take more than her share of the full sized candy bars from a bell. she then encouraged her kids to do the same. home owners in the area say they don't know who the woman is in the video. a tourist is recovering after a shark attack in florida.

the woman was standing in the surf when a shark bit her in the leg. left her with a 7 inch gash. beach goers say they helped bring that woman to shore. i looked over at her and she said somebody help me and i saw the fin come up and slap her in the face and she said it got me so i grabbed her hand and drug her back to the shore. >> anchor: so again, a 7 inch gash in her leg but no word on her exact condition at this hour hour. we know a woman is recovering now and facing charges after a tiger bites her at a nebraska zoo. police say jacqueline eddie hop the security fence an tried to pet the tiger when the zoo was closed. the tiger bit her hand when she reached into the animal's cage. she is charged with criminal trespassing. >> anchor: a popular out oh chain at the center of an e. coli scare. more than 40 restaurants have been shut down in oregon and washington state. the outbreak sending several people to the hospital over the past week and now one couple is speaking out saying the last few days have been a nightmare. questions and .

it looks like a shooting star to me. a ginormous one . >> reporter: 57 degrees in boston. south wind at five miles per hour of i am a meteorologist but i don't specialize in meteors unfortunately. i do the weather. hydrometeors. 65 in nashua for a high and today was a beauty all around. sunshine, fair weather clouds came in the afternoon. now the sun is low. the sun angle is low so when we have these high clouds move in, be aware for what we know as sun dogs. sun dogs are like these any or images of the sun as it goes down you see them on either side of the sun, setting sun. they are really cool and also like what is that? a rainbow right around the sun or sometimes it's a rainbow around the moon too. so anyway, our highs today were very nice and high clouds coming in, passing through nothing big here. temperatures now settling back into the 50's.
