she had come over to help her move. that woman with the toddler told police he was coming after her with knives. they found two knives in the toilet tank. 27-year-old son of the woman in the apartment. david brock. he lives here. he is charged with assault with a deadly weapon. woman is okay. police said she was fine. she does not live here. she has gone home tonight. mother of the man accused is upset because this all started as a medication issue. right now he is facing a serious charge. live in mansfield, dan hausle. a body found inside a burnt

new at 6:00, fire fight on the cape. a man caught someone trying to set fire to his house. homeowner decided to fight fire with fire pulled out a gun. steve cooper with a story. >> reporter: homeowner went outside and ended up comforting this suspect. as the suspect was trying to take off, homeowner opened fire. >> it is very shocking. everybody gets along. >> reporter: teresa echoing the sentiment of her neighbors after someone was trying to set this house on fire and fired at by the homeowner. >> it is a little spooky, actually. i have never heard any problems.

house -- he came face to face with the suspect. police say the homeowner unloaded two shots from 38 caliber pistol firing as the unidentified man took off. >> it is creepy something like that could happen. >> they did notify hospitals to be on the alert for someone suffering gunshot wounds. not only did the suspect try to torch the house but cut the brake lines of the owner's car. >> find whoever it is, yes. i can't see putting any person's house on fire. i would gather there was an issue some where along the line. >> turns out it was the homeowner's wife that was able
