toy. the cool air is en route. weekend? >> smoke on the water. a lobsterman abandons ship in the north shore. also, a judge making two key rulings in aaron hernandez's upcoming double-murder trial. >> adam: and a convenience store in colorado printing store receipts with the words "tom brady's a cheater" at the top. now a local store is sending its own message. >> elizabeth: it's all now from the night team. >> 7news at 11:00 starts now. >> adam: breaking news first at 11:00, boston police are looking for a man they say assaulted a little girl in southie today. investigators say the attack happened this morning. >> elizabeth: people who live in that area are on alert. the night team's tim caputo live in southie with the latest. tim? >> reporter: folks who live here say they have seen increased police patrols in this neighborhood all day today, but to this point, police have not made any arrests. neighbors say the 11-year-old

girl was waiting at the bus stop around 9:00 a.m. when a stranger walked up behind her and groped her. boston police say the girl turned around and faced the suspect. he apologized and ran off. several officers rushed to gavin street in the mccormick development in south boston. police officers searching the neighborhood. there, and i seen different people coming out. i didn't know what happened. i'm not sure what happened, but i'm sure there were plenty of police officers there. >> reporter: police did not find the suspect, but they're warning residents to keep an eye out for the man who tried to sexually assault a child. >> my little daughter stands at that bus stop every morning. now i'm concerned you turn your back for two seconds and something like this happens. >> reporter: those who live here say it's a tight-knit neighborhood. they know the girl and they also think they know the suspect. >> hopefully they catch him. wants the stand at that bus stop anymore. >> reporter: and that 11-year-old girl was able to get a fairly good look at this suspect but was only able to give police a fairly generic

description. we're live tonight in south boston, tim caputo, 7news night team. ism we're following breaking news out of methuen where police are investigating shots fired at the intersection of camden and center streets. they say no one was hurt, but there is an active investigation going on. police are asking people to stay away from that area right now. we have a crew on the way and we'll bring you more information as soon as we get it. >> adam: and we're following a developing story tonight. cnn reporting new video from isis claiming responsibility for blowing up a russian passenger plane. the flight exploded over egypt, killing more than 200 people. as we see images of that scene. it's prompted talks of security changes at international airports. let's get to the night team's ryan schulteis in our control room with more. ryan? >> reporter: cnn is reporting it's an isis video congratulating another isis group for bringing down that plane, but we're still waiting for official confirmation that it was actually a bomb.

after analyzing both of the plane's black boxes, investigators say that on the cockpit voice recorder, the sound of an explosion could be heard distinctly. before that the cockpit was formal. no technical failure on the second black box until the moment of the explosion. u.s. officials tell nbc news they intercepted a transition in the isis group in the sinai before the crash saying something big was going to happen, and after that crash, there are intercepts that reveal isis fighters celebrating. the mounting evidence that it might be a bomb has convinced russia to stop flying to egypt. british officials believe a bomb may have been placed in the plane's cargo hold inside or on top of luggage. airport workers and lax security at that airport being looked at very closely. that's led to the u.s. teaming up with the governments across the middle east to beef up security at airports with direct flights to the u.s. cairo, iman, kuwait and across the region, just under ten airports in all, and now expanded screening for anything that goes on a plane, luggage, food, beverages and cargo. >> we can't rule anything in or out. we have to consider the

terrorist involvement here. >> reporter: the tsa says agents are constantly probing and evaluating overseas airports. >> they look at the actual checkpoint. they look at the vetting of employees. they look at perimeter security. they look at catering. they look at soup to nuts. >> reporter: u.s. airlines don't fly to, from or over the area where the plane went down, but the tsa not taking any chances as they beef up security all over the place. in the control room, ryan schulteis, 7news night team. >> elizabeth: also from the night team, a gymnastics coach in new hampshire is facing alarming allegations. he's accused of sexually assaulting a young girl. the night team's susan tran is in hooksett with the very latest. susan? >> reporter: elizabeth, the suspect's family says they're prized he was even arrested. they're calling these allegations bogus. as for the family who came to the gym to pick up their children, they too are surprised. 23-year-old cameron beaton accused of a sex crime against a child. bogus.

the u.s.a. ninja challenge gym where he's a coach says they can't believe it. >> we were as shocked and surprised as anyone. police warning parents this gymnastics coach was arrested friday, accused of sexually assaulting a child right here at this facility. >> as we were told by authorities, there was an incident about three weeks ago. >> reporter: the gym says investigators told them it's because of something that happened during a class here last month involving a small group of six to eight year olds. >> a student was attempting to make a move on the rock climbing out to assist because he thought >> fantastic. i actually recommend it to a lot of people. bring their children to this obstacle-type gymnastics class, they say they love this place and the owners who run it. >> it is surprising to me very much. i relly don't understand that there would be any time that the kids would be unsupervised. >> reporter: the folks at

has been a long-time coach and the gym has protocols to make sure coaches are never alone with children, and they don't know how this could have happened. >> first and foremost, the safety and well-being of our students is the top priority here. >> reporter: now, police believe that this is an isolated incident, but they're asking anyone out there who might have more information about this suspect or this case to give them a call. as for that suspect, he's currently on unpaid leave until this investigation is complete. we're live in hooksett, new hampshire, tonight, susan tran, 7news night team. >> adam: a lobsterman is forced overboard when his boat burst into flames. tonight we hear from the good samaritans who jumped in to help. kimberly bookman is in ipswich with more on his great escape. kim herly? >> reporter: adam, not everyone who cease trouble would rush right toward it, but that's exactly what these two men did, never thinking twice. two local guys out fishing caught more than they could ever imagine friday morning. >> mike said, hey, look at the puff of smoke.

it went from white from his fire extinguisher to black to the boat burning. >> reporter: the engine on lobsterman sam allen's boat had overheated and burst into flames. he immediately radioed a call for help. >> mayday, mayday, mayday. fishing vessel located at the southern tip of plum island. fire on board. over. >> reporter: then he put on his emergency suit, grabbed his waterproof survival bag along with a portable radio beacon, and jumped into the water to escape the fire. >> we raced over and pulled him up in the boat. >> he seemed fine, tired and nervous. >> he was out of breath but he was doing fine. he looked good. >> reporter: that's when fisherman mike freeman took out his camera and began rolling on the demise of the burning boat, despite losing his vessel, the owner was grateful to the good samaritans who rescued him, saying so as he jumped on to the coast guard boats. >> thanks, guys.

>> you know i would. i'd be slow, but i'd be there. >> i'm glad we helped him out. >> reporter: and that lobsterman was not hurt and he didn't have to have any kind of medical attention. as for those two good samaritans. they call this a great day. they say after the rescue they caught lots of fish. reporting live from ipswich, kimberly bookman, 7news night team. >> elizabeth: a possible break in the case tonight in a murder mystery in worcester. police make an arrest after a woman's body was found inside a burning car. brandon gunnoe is in worcester tonight with the very latest. brandon? report liz, he hasn't been charged with murder, but prosecutors say he's a suspect in the killing of that young woman. today in court here behind me he was charged with intimidating a witness. prosecutors say 40-year-old thomas hogan is a suspect in the killing of a woman found dead inside a burning car. >> shock and stunned. >> the fact that everything occurred near my neighborhood, you know, it's kind of startling. >> reporter: it happened wednesday night in the woods

heights and worcester. firefighters arrived to a car covered in flames. as they put it out, they discovered a woman's body. >> scary. definitely scary. >> didn't hear anything. >> whatever it was, they were quiet about it. >> they were quiet about it. >> reporter: as of now, hogan has only been charged with intimidating a witness. after the hearing, the district attorney's office says they wanted the 40-year-old from worcester held on high bail, telling the judge he's being looked at for this gruesome death. court records show hogan has a criminal history that includes larceny and trespassing, but after hearing that prosecutors may believe he's responsible for killing a woman and leaving her in a burning car, neighbors are concerned. >> i have two kids of my own. all the neighborhood kids normally play in this neighborhood. something like this to happen in my neighborhood is not safe. >> reporter: no word yet on when or if hoe gone's charge will be upgraded, but we do know he's due back here in court in early december. we're live in worcester, brandon

>> adam: a judge making two key rulings in aaron hernandez's upcoming double-murder trial if boston. the judge says hernandez will be charged with witness intimidation in the case of alexander bradley. prosecutors say bradley was in the car with hernandez when the former patriot shot two men in 2012. hernandez is accused of later shooting bradley in the face, afraid he would implicate them in those murders. the judge also denied hernandez's request to suppress evidence found in an s.u.v. connected to that double murder. police found that car in 2013 while searching hernandez's uncles home in police toll, connecticut. at the time they were investigating the death of odin lloyd. hernandez was convicted of lloyd's murder earlier this year and is curchly serving life in prison. >> elizabeth: now to the race for the white house. and a candidate controversy for republican ben carson. the g.o.p. front-runner is catching heat for some things he said happened to him as a young man that may not be true. and tonight carson responded and is the most fired up we've seen him on the campaign trail. >> there's got to be a scandal. there's got to be some nurse

he's having an affair. with there has to be something. they are getting desperate. >> reporter: an exasperated ben carson opens up during a news conference about recent allegations saying he isn't being truthful about his past. >> next week it will be my kindergarten teacher who said i peed in my pants. it's ridiculous. >> elizabeth: but critics say it's his claims that are ridiculous. politico reported that west point ha has no record of carson applying or being offered admission, calling carson's story a fab i cancation. >> they were saying you would be a tremendous addition to the military, and we can get you into west point with a full scholarship. >> reporter: military experts say no one can simply offered a mission to west point, which has a rigorous application process and low acceptance rates. >> nobody uses the term "scholarship to west point." there isn't such a thing, and nobody in the military would use that term. >> reporter: carson is also being questioned about his claims that he had a violent temper when he was young. he says all the scrutiny is just people trying to make him look

bad, and the attention could just help him at the polls. >> here's my prediction: my prediction is that all of you guys trying to pile on is actually going to help me. >> elizabeth: political analysts say this heightened security may be the biggest threat to carson's campaign. >> adam: the keystone pipeline on the president agenda today, president obama announcing the u.s. is rejecting the canadian application do build this controversial oil pipe across the u.s. >> america's new a global leader when it comes to taking serious action the fight climate change. and frankly approving this project would have undercut that global leadership. >> adam: the pipeline would have crossed six states, moving more than 800,000 barrels of petroleum every day from canada down to the gulf coast. canadian lead, say all the they're disappointed, the decision will not affect the relationship between the two countries. the supreme court is set to here yet another challenge to president obama's affordable care act.

made the call to not come. she's laying there. there she's like, i don't know. my stomach, i feel a little weird. and i'm just like, it's 5:00 in the morning, i'm not going to lie. i'm like, maybe it's just your stomach is a little upset. my stomach is a little upset, too. she's like, no, i think it's time. i'm like, how about you make sure that you're right before i have to call bill and let him know that i won't be coming in today. >> elizabeth: some good news to report, that baby boy is healthy and is named dallas. >> adam: that's all that matters. >> elizabeth: that's true. >> adam: as you plan for your weekend, let's talk about the temperatures. pete, it seems like we're going to slide down a bit. >> pete: at least they didn't call him denver. our forecast will cool off here over the next couple days. tomorrow falling back into the low. 0s and then 50s for sunday. boy, let's look at it one last time here. this may not be the last of the season, but it was very mild all the way from braintree to stoneham. in boston we did tie a record, same in west. 73 boston.

three days now this november, 70 degrees or better in the city of boston. the record is 6 set back in 18990 and 1927. so cooling down this week. but it's dry. and saturday, not as bright as sunday. sunday has a lot more sunshine. moderating next week will come back out of the cool spell. one-day cool spell and head back to the 60s. right now it's incredible. i mean, it is really mild. close to 70 degrees still at 11:00 at night in november. hard to even believe this. but we look at the dew points and you can already see that drier air moving in. dew points dropping. this will make that 68 or 67 feel a little bit cooler. dew points dropping to the 40s. the front has crossed. and so it keeps chugging down near the canal and off cape cod by morning. and the showers just faded right out. we had a few of them. we had some downpours on 495 that came in. but what's left of any showers now gone. they were in randolph and canton and back into franklin. so the front goes through, right?

what's all this cloudiness behind it, right? typically when you get a cold front passing, you drive in the sunshine and the clear skies. not this time around. we're a little disconnected here. the front goes by. and the clouds remain for tomorrow. so not very bright. our temperatures tomorrow starting off in the 50s. but they don't climb all that much. there's going to be a surge of cooler air that comes in late in the afternoon to drop us back into the 40s. the lower and mid-by late, late night. but in the evening, if you're chilly. all right, pats' forecast for sunday, 53 degrees. winds northwest at 15 to 20, gusty, but the winds ease as we get closer to the evening, and our temperatures, here we are with a she climb back the normal. and then above normal between monday and tuesday, both days look pretty bright. normal high temperature double nickels. passing sprinkle, mile and breezy. 53 to 56. tomorrow cooler with milky sunshine. about 59 to 64. we call that probably hazy sun in the summer, wouldn't we? same thing really.

anyway, there it is next week. veterans day looks good. thursday wind and some rain finally coming into the picture. we make it to the mid-60s and then cool it off. still above normal by friday. have a good weekend. >> adam: you do the same, pete. it might have been a failure to launch, but it made for some incredible pictures. nasa releasing new pictures tonight of a rocket that exploded as it took off for the international space station. the rocket burst into flames last year and you can see the massive ball of fire over the rojt's launch site. that's in virginia. no eastbound was on board, so nobody injured. thousands of pounds of supplies for the international space station were destroyed. >> elizabeth: a new trailer released in japan for the upcoming "star wars" film giving us a look at new footage from the film. the new clips show more fight scenes with storm troopers using flame throwersen we also see new toys and chewy getting involved, setting off a massive explosion.
