5:45 pm
>> anchor: 56 in town now of we have 49 in norwood, about 50 in bedford and 48 in worcester. so the temperatures falling quickly as we go through the evening. not enough cloudiness right now to kind of put a cap on that cooling process. not now at least. by morning there will be enough
5:46 pm
cloudiness. here comes the rain. right? well, yeah. it's coming in. it is november, we're supposed to get these weather systems roll through. we start the morning off in the 30's to near 40's and downtown about 45, 40's on cape cod then we get the jump and the bump in the afternoon. not much of one but one that will bring us at least to near normal or above into the mid 50's and then we'll cool off as we go into the evening. once that rain sets in the evening those temperatures will level right off in those low 50's and feels kind of raw. full head of team coming out of this weather system it. shoots that rain right up into the dc area. right along the health beltway then up into new jersey here and then we have this little weather system i guess you could say of it's a tropical storm actually. it's kate and she is moving northwest and that northeast. not to interfere with this weather system, but you know they may share a little moisture channel here so it looks like we'll get a healthy dose of rain in here too. this is that 3:00 in the afternoon starting to move up on to the pike and then pushing up on to the north shore and up
5:47 pm
into southern new hampshire as we go through the evening. some moderate rain possible only on tuesday night and very early on wednesday. the track of this weather system is a coastal storm that means it hugs the coastline so as its name suggests the winds will be strongest right along the water water's edge out through the cape and islands too. we could see gusts well over 30 to 40 miles per hour. for that reason, we have a wind advisory all the way into wednesday afternoon and wednesday evening. i use juiced up one of the model showing only about a quarter inch to a half inch. i thought do you know what? this has some good rain coming our way so this model shows at least an inch of rain for many of us. i think between 3/4 to an inch of rain is possible out of this weather system. so a clear start, clouds roll in 34 to 46 tomorrow in the 50's a few late showers after a cloudy and perhaps some bright spots in the overcast. a little sun tomorrow. late week we start to warm it up once again but that shut down by the weekend. a come one coming up but it's dry.
