the protest started at fawn euell hall and just reached the statehouse. >> elizabeth: dan hausle joins us live on the phone with what is going on. >> reporter: after speaking for about 15 minutes, it appears protestors have mostly moved on. a small number of them outside the statehouse but you will a the roads in the area have reopened after they were' shut down for maybe a half hour or 45 minutes as protestors moved up to the statehouse. this is a group that had helped out a smaller group of protestors at n.u.earlier in the day for a protest for wages for part-time professors that should down the green line e.line for about 20 minutes. protestors up here at the statehouse got good news for their cause, a $15 minimum wage from dan walsh who reported a labor committee favorfully reported out a $15 minimum mange, still it would call that minimum wage

for retail and fast-food workers in businesses with more than 200 restaurants. so they got a good news for their cause and the they cheer and now they have moved on. traffic is resuming in the area. on beacon, park street. congress and tremont after some disruption by the protest. live outside the statehouse, dan hausle, 7 news. >> ryan: also here at 5:30 boston police on hunt for a wanted man who got away. officers swarmed this building last night. >> elizabeth: they say he managed to escape through an open window. steve cooper is live in roslindale with the latest. >> reporter: we're told the suspect that you are talking about jumped 30 feet to the ground below. took off from the area. been clearly a lot of tense moments for people who live here and tonight the suspect remains on the run. a parade of boston police swat team trucks roll into

complex on brookway terrace after this man wanted in connection with a recent stab something and robbery barricades l kids -- himself inside and apartment. >> secured the apartment and treated this as a code 99. barricaded subject and took the steps. tried to negotiate. negotiations didn't work. but the people didn't come out. >> reporter: residents were quickly evacuated from the area. s. police not about to take any chances. then hours later detectives were determined soto had away. >> the individual did enter the apartment. our officers, we had it secured but apparently jumped out a back window from the third floor and took off. we find this out offwards. >> reporter: with soto on concerned. here. don't like crowds.

concrete ideas on the issue to the yale community by thanksgiving. >> elizabeth: a teacher in trouble after he appears to yank a chair from under a student. that teacher was fired and now could face legal trouble the video is startling, a teacher pulls a chair out and the student goes flying. another student caught the whole incident on a cell phone camera. >> didn't expect to hear anything going on as crow the street from where i live. >> reporter: the teacher who taught science was just hired here this summer. witnesses say when the student wouldn't listen the teacher did this. because he was a probationary employee the district quickly fired him, and the police are now involved. >> escorted the teacher out off campus with the other supervisors of the board of education and a school s.r.o.escorted the teacher off campus and the police department has begun a

>> reporter: as for what charges he could face -- >> i don't think we're going to go into specific charges until we sit down with a prosecutor and see if it warrants that, but we believe it does. >> it's one of those things you don't like to see. >> reporter: the fired teacher says the video didn't show what led up to the incident. he claims the history has a history of behavioral problems. >> ryan: new details about a judge shot in texas. officers say they've taken someone into custody. the person of interest is being questioned about this shooting. she is expected to be okay. >> elizabeth: firefighters in new jersey have been [laughter] night. six schools in the area are closed as crews work to put the fire out. the scene. neighbors are being told to stay away because of the heavy smoke. the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

>> elizabeth: officers accused of crossing the line during a violent arrest all caught on camera. one of the men arrested says they were across the street. >> ryan: police say the group was climbing over a barricade and jay walking. one of the people in this video explains what he says happened when his group of friends walked across the street in austin, texas. >> crosswalk, and there is a group of officers there. they see us approaching. ott the light. we saw that it was about time to go. the light was changing. so one of my friends asked are we got to go?

49 melrose and 50 waltham. same in boston, 48 in randolph. 51 in hull. didn't get very far up through greenland, new hampshire. boxford in the 40 ace. it was only in the low 50s today. we did have a little bit of sunshine. and that lasted for a up couldle of hours but it didn't seem to warm us up and the dry air over us now is keeping the rain at bay. temperatures in the 50s through cape cod. but we'll all sink back to the 40s and hold there through tomorrow. when we say raw it's the combination of the wind, rain and chilly temperatures. tale feel like november. axle rose would be proud. november rain. this is the rain and the the shield as it moves up. you can see how it moved into the dry air, and it hasn't established in boston. maybe a couple of sprinkles coming to us in the next 20 minutes. we could get these through stoneham, too. worcester now in lighter showers. stead yet rain with up to a .1 of inch of rain has been

up to cape cod. typically with the coastal storms it breaks and the rain reaches up to southern new hampshire as you saturate the atmosphere. that is what will happen over the next few hours. our best chance for moderate rain will be first thing in the morning between 4:00 and 8:00. then after that, a lot of the steady stuff pulls away. we're dealt, dealing with lighter showers and spritz itself and also springles to the end of the day. forecast. but we'll make do. winds coastline will be up to 40 miles an hour, we'll watch our next weather thursday. with some showers, in the afternoon. so we don't get much of a break between two weather systems, newest information keeps hammering the rain up to 2 inches, i think this is overdown. i'm thinking between 1 and one and a half because the fact the storm is not going to stick around very long. wind advisory from cape yap

parade in the morning, 46 degrees, boston is not much better at 1:00, about 48. i'm hoping at that time the steady rain will be gone and we'll deal with sprinkles and maybe an occasional shower. 58 on friday. that is the goal. this is not a pattern change we're going through right now. next week we'll bounce back to the 60s with sunshine. see you at 6:00. >> ryan: soccer officials are -- >> elizabeth: they are adopting new roles to help players deal with injuries. the u.s. soccer federation is eliminating heading from youth soccer in an effort to reduce the number of concussions. under the rules children 10 and younger will be prohibited from heading the ball during practice and game. childrens 11-13 will be allowed to head the ball during game only in an effort to reduce repeated contact.

heading the ball is not the source of concussions. >> concussions are caused most commonly by player to player collisions, player hitting the ground hard, or a player actually being elbowed, kneed by another player. >> elizabeth: breanna scurry suffered a career-ending concussion. she said the new rules are a good step but more needs to be done. >> one of the things missing in this initiative is the idea of protection. i think protection is something that helps and so by that i mean head gear. >> reporter: the announcement comes in the wake of a 2014 class action lawsuit by parents and players against u.s. soccer and others for negligence in treating and monitoring head injuries. the specifics of the new policy as well as other safety changes are expected 30 days. >> ryan: black friday coming early for target.
