eve tarmey was found dead in a hotel room last weekend. >> elizabeth: adam williams is live in the breaking news are the details. >> reporter: the teen's mother and a male companion are now in custody. officers found 17-year-old evangelique tarmey unresponse information a rochester, new hampshire, hotel room last month. her mother and the man arrested were both with tarmey at the time. the two are now facing several charges. they're seen right here. an arrest warrant is also issued for a massachusetts woman, acquaintance. we'll have a crew on the way to rochester. we'll bring you more right here as soon as we get it. live in our newsroom, i'med -- i'm adam williams. >> elizabeth: we're following mores news today. several people arrested in a

pipeline protest in west roxbury. the protesters blocked workers at a construction site there. >> ryan: this isn't the first time people proafted the project. 7's victoria warren explains. >> reporter: construction in west roxbury, a controversial gas pipeline is going in, despite a very determined group of protesters. >> i see death. that's all it is. that can blow any time. >> reporter: residents fear the project isn't safe and after several recent protests, today a small group linked arms and crossed directly into the construction site in an effort to make a human barricade. >> they need to see that us as a community we're all together in it. we don't want something like this in our community, because it's very dangerous. >> reporter: the police came in to arrest several protesters. the pipeline is part of an extension of a line that runs from new jersey to boston. the group tried to fight the project in court, but lost, despite today's arrests, some people promised the fight isn't over yet. >> people are staying up for their lives. >> we're going to keep trying

and we're going to try to shut them down. >> part of the concern is that there's an active rock quarry nearby. nobody from the company putting this gas pipeline in was available on scene for comment. the protesters we spoke to say they'll be back out here again tomorrow. in west roxbury, victoria warren, 7 news. >> elizabeth: and more news today. fire crews putting out a house fire in harvard early this morning. the fire broke windows and went all the way up to the roof of that home. officials haven't said what the cause of that fire is just yet. thankfully, though, no one was hurt. a state trooper is recovering after his cruiser was hit in a wrong-way crash. an 80-year-old driver was going the wrong by a in amanda berry when he hit the cruiser. the elder driver suffers from a medical condition and investigators say he shouldn't have been behind the wheel. >> ryan: new at 4:30, transit trouble for a man in new york city. he's now been arrested for the 30th time. he's accused of stealing city

buses and trains and taking them for a spin. a notorious new york city public transit bandit. >> where were you planning to take the bus? >> reporter: this arrest is number 30 for darius, a career criminal, legendary for taking buss for rides. he stole the greyhound bus from the port authority depot. it was scheduled to take passengers to virginia and when the transportation company realized the coach was gone, they used the on board g.p.s. to track it down in downtown wrook prook lynn. he was the only one on board and behind the wheel. the transit imposter's first brush with the law was in 1981, when he drove an e-train to the world trade center. in 2006, he was charged with criminal impersonation to trying to commandeer a railroad train. in 2008, arrested again for posing as subway worker. legends has it he has stolen more than 150 buses, often posing as transit worker and driving the routes. so previous lawyer he has said,

he just unofficially drives routes, fixes tracks and takes tolls until police catch him. law enforcement sources say i told police next time he's going to try to steal a plane. >> elizabeth: a wick-thinking man with a camera helped catch crooks in the act. and while this neighbor couldn't stop them, he did the next best thing, got video of them. >> what are you guys doing? >> reporter: if there's anyone you'd want as your neighbor, it's this guy behind the camera. >> it's my neighbor's house. the police are coming right now. >> reporter: stopping a burglary in process and startling the four intruders coming out of the home, up to the point. the driver asks the man with the camera where the keys are. >> i think he was very shaken up that they were being filmed. >> reporter: not only was a white yukon get away railroad car captured on video, but pretty clear images of three out of the four men. take a good look. >> the police said that they used their shoulder probably just to bang open the door.

margaret and joseph mueller's summerlin home. >> everything in the bedroom, taken out. >> reporter: in broad daylight, while the couple was at work. >> i got an alert on my phone that my alarm had gone off. >> within five minutes he had seen the video, he had called the police, he called our neighbor. outside. >> they must have seen him and front door to take. >> reporter: and when they driver. a watchful neighbor was waiting with a tool that could help catch the crooks. >> elizabeth: well, the homeowners say they are so thankful their neighbor caught the crooks on camera and now they're hoping police will catch the robbers soon. >> ryan: a man in north carolina captures video of a road rage crash on his cell phone. you can see the two cars appear to try to cut each other off and slam on the brakes a few times. witnesses say one of the drivers cut the other off and that's

when they started pursuing each other. the drivers continue on until both vehicles spin out right in the road. >> i started feeling them and i figured it was going to get worse. you know, because they both look like they were man. this person would say that's this person's fault. so the video here it is. >> ryan: and police filed charges against both of the men c.f.o. reckless driving. a houston rockets is arrested. point guard patrick beverly was pulled over in texas on wednesday. the arrest was caught on the officer's dash cam video. he was wanted for not paying more than $320 in tolls, beverly said that's because of an outdated credit card information on his toll pass account. >> elizabeth: a drone disaster in seattle, when it hits a ferris wheel and slams into a table at a restaurant. it left a big hole in the table and barely missed the people eating there. employees say there was no damage to the ferris wheel, but they shut it down for a little while, just to inspect it just in case. thankfully nobody was hurt. employees say they don't want

>> we don't want drones flying around here, as well as i'm sure you don't want drones flying around the space needle. >> that's crazy. i wouldn't think people would be thrying -- flying a drone around this area. >> police are trying to figure out who that drone belongs to. and a close call for a man crossing some train tracks in brazil. that man was just inches away from getting hit by an oncoming train. it seems like he had no idea he was walking right into that train's path. and he makes it to the other side with no time to spare. not once ever looking back. >> ryan: also on 7, walmart revealing its upcoming annual black friday plans today and changes are in store. this year shoppers can get the retail giant's in-store doorbuster deals by staying home and shopping online. walmart says 96% of deals offered in stores will be available on its website. stores will open at 6:00 p.m. on thanksgiving day. but walmart.com is giving shoppers a head start by offering the deals online at

malaysia baby panda in washington, d.c. took his first steps this week. the national zoo released this amazing video yesterday. it shows the mama panda watching her little baby. taking a few steps before she gives him a big bear hug. now his name is baby and means precious treasure and definitely lives up to the meaning.

would not be as adorable as a little while ago with pete bouchard and al roker talking about the thongs. he has gone home now, huh? >> reporter: he's left. we weren't talking about any thong. that did not happen. it's traumatic for me to evening think about what happened the last half hour. we did throw some tea over the eleanor, which is what we're on here at the boston tea party museum. this is where he stopped and we're having some hot citer, -- cider, thinking of you you back in the studio. this building is new. it's only about three years old here. beautiful. back to rokerthon. yes, al and his thong, anyway, started in hawaii ekes went out northwest. he actually was at the four corners, literally he stood in like four states at one time.

then he weaved his way eastbound through the midwest and up into new england. anyway. he's finishing up the trip through new england. he's tired and that's why we got off into a raunchy topic. it does look like things will warm up late tonight as temperatures warm as the weather system moves our way. it's all part of the warm-up process where we get back into the 50s overnight tonight. so going from 40s to 50s. some showers still out there and occasionally this rain has been moderate. you can see it up up through marblehead up through salem and over towards peabody, too. and then a band just went through boston. these are tiny showers, they last about five minutes and there's another one ready to approach stone ham. you have the weather system itself, way back up in ontario. that's what's pushing the mild air our way. we have the threat for showers, at least until midnight tonight. our temps in the 40s and 50s. but warming up just to our west. you see out through north adams, it's 55 degrees. so a bit of the mild air comes our way and it does shoot the

temperatures up. it sets us up for a pretty good friday forecast as well. and it looks like our temperatures will soar tomorrow. for our standards in november at least. close to 60 degrees. it will be a windy day. the winds will be strong all day long. some gusts over 30 miles per hour. we get into saturday and things cool down very quickly. in fact, we'll be hard pressed to make 50, even in the city. and that wind will be much colder from friday into saturday. wind gusts, by the way, tomorrow out of the south-southwest. 30 miles per hour or better. even on the cape and the islands we could see gusts to 35 miles per hour. a few showers, some late clearing. rising temperatures 46 to 54. tomorrow we'll get back into some sunshine and clouds. a windy day as we'll reach around 60 degrees. so payoff is pretty good here. seven-day forecast brings us back into the sunshine and keeps us there for a while. this is an extended warm tedder as we go into next week. it crawls through the mid-50s and rises into the upper 60s, perhaps by thursday and that may
