>> jadiann: breaking news. police making an arrest in connection with the theft of military weapons from an army reserve center in worcester. a 34-year-old man was taken into custody late last night the f.b.i. helping to make the arrest and the suspect will face a judge in new york this afternoon. steve cooper is live in worcester with the details on the arrest. >> reporter: this is a copy of the criminal complaint

released late this morning by the u.s. attorney's office. the break-in happened here over the weekend at the armory in worcester. they say the suspect broke in through a kitchen window, then using a power saw, he cut through the ceiling of a weapons vault inside before getting away with those high-powered weapons. after police say someone broke into the u.s. army reserve center here in worcester, cutting through the roof of the weapons vault and stealing 16 guns, including six assault rifles and ten nine-millimeter pistols, the u.s. attorney's office in boston confirms an arrest in the break-in. according to this affidavit, federal agents arrested 34-year-old james morales of cambridge, taken into custody last night by the nassau county police department in new york. morales appeared in middlesex superior court back in may on charges of child rape and indecent assault on a child under 14. at the time, he was ordered to wear a gps tracking bracelet. federal agents say the gps device placed morales inside

the armory the night the weapons were stolen and that's not all. the f.b.i. agents were abling to link blood found inside the armory as a d.n.a. match to morales. two days before the break-in, authorities say morales was at the armory to get copies of his discharge papers. authorities have said the stolen weapons have no ties to terrorists. so that the hour, the big question is where are the weapons? have they been recovered? we contacted the u.s. attorney's office in boston. a spokeswoman there says right that. the only information they are releasing is what is in that affidavit. as for morales, he will appear in a federal courtroom at some point today in new york. and then we could learn more about the details of what exactly he was doing here and why. we are live in worcester this afternoon, steve cooper, 7 news. >> anchor: four police officers were taken to the hospital following an arrest in the city of boston.

>> reporter: police found randall while searching for another missing teen from duxbury. investigators say the day after the murder, the man lured a 16-year-old to his home using the social media app "meet me." the missing teen's cell phone led them to the home. there was blood on the floor. the new mom was just starting to turn her life around. >> she was a good girl. she wanted to have a normal family. just a family. >> reporter: she believes her daughter went to see the man him. something she had done in the past. randall leaves behind a nine-month-old son. >> nancy: breaking news. there is a water main break to tell you about on revere beach parkway. we take live look from sky 7 hd. through. state police and local police helping to block off traffic. but one lane does seem to be making its way across. people who live in the area

are also told they may experience an interruption in water service. that is one thing to be concerned about. this is right next to suffolk downs on revere beach parkway. so that is something to be aware of if you are in that area. meantime, mayor marty walsh proposing to raise the minimum wage to buy tobacco products in boston. to 21. it is part of several changes the mayor is now suggesting for the city's tobacco regulations. they include banning the sale of flavored tobacco products in local stores except for 21 and over smoking shops and bars. the board of health is expected to vote on the changes next month. and workers from logan airport now on strike. employees met at south station last nig. they claim there are health and safety hazards at logan. they are also asking for a salary of $15 an hour. airline spokespeople say they have plans in place to make sure there are no flight interruptions. and police in pennsylvania are looking for an arsonist who accidentally lit himself on fire. here is surveillance video of

the incident. you can see if you look closely, the suspect is in a gray sweatshirt. running away right there with his arm on fire. authorities are asking local hospitals to be on the lookout for someone who comes in with severe burns. police say he is responsible for lighting vehicles on fire at a repair yard. and a school bus slamming into a store in pennsylvania. you can see the store was a total mess. police say a man stole the bus and crashed it into the store early this morning. also police officers in a small town in wisconsin are taking a different approach to stop bullying. the accused bully's parents will now be the ones paying the price. earlier this month, the town of plover passed an anti-bullying ordinance. >> it's the school's job to teach the kids.

time. only three days have been colder than normal. our mini warm-up, we are enjoying right now. low to mid-50's for most. 52 for the city of boston. it is about 3-7 degrees warmer than it was just 24 hours ago. clouds have already moved into the picture. sunshine out for the rest of the day. and we are waiting on this wet weather to work. in as you take a look at the wet weather, it doesn't look significant. some scattered showers. part of the state. and also into central new england. for us, later overnight, though, this will become more significant as along this front, a low pressure system forms. that gives it more lift. it is almost like squeezing out the wash cloth over the area. as we sleep tonight. you can see that happening with the timeline here. in the overnight hours. possibly even a couple of rumbles of thunder. we can't rule that out. doesn't look likely. then pushing that wet weather out of here by about 6:00 or 7:00 tomorrow morning.

f so tail end of the morning commute, it should be drying up. late-day rain for us. again, more likely as we move into the later hours of today. it looks like past 7:00, that is when the rain starts to work in. and again, overnight, that is we need the rain. we are about two inches below normal and since october 1, normal. we will take every drop we can get. looks like half an inch to an inch for most. the potential for maybe closer to an inch and a half to two inches for some localized areas. if they really get that rainfall pumping through tonight. now, next best chance looks to be sunday and even the potential for some wet snowflakes to work in with this front as it passes through. again, early in the day on sunday. we are not talking about accumulation at all. there is the potential for seeing some flakes fly. today, mostly cloudy. temperatures rise as we reach those later hours. 55-60 overnight tonight. and tomorrow, we keep the mild weather around with us. now, i know it is a week off.
