>> jadiann: breaking news. police making an arrest in connection with the theft of military weapons from an army reserve center in worcester. a 34-year-old man was taken into custody late last night the f.b.i. helping to make the arrest and the suspect will face a judge in new york this afternoon. steve cooper is live in worcester with the details on the arrest. >> reporter: this is a copy of the criminal complaint

released late this morning by the u.s. attorney's office. the break-in happened here over the weekend at the armory in worcester. they say the suspect broke in through a kitchen window, then using a power saw, he cut through the ceiling of a weapons vault inside before getting away with those high-powered weapons. after police say someone broke into the u.s. army reserve center here in worcester, cutting through the roof of the weapons vault and stealing 16 guns, including six assault rifles and ten nine-millimeter pistols, the u.s. attorney's office in boston confirms an arrest in the break-in. according to this affidavit, federal agents arrested 34-year-old james morales of cambridge, taken into custody last night by the nassau county police department in new york. morales appeared in middlesex superior court back in may on charges of child rape and indecent assault on a child under 14. at the time, he was ordered to wear a gps tracking bracelet. federal agents say the gps device placed morales inside

the armory the night the weapons were stolen and that's not all. the f.b.i. agents were abling to link blood found inside the armory as a d.n.a. match to morales. two days before the break-in, authorities say morales was at the armory to get copies of his discharge papers. authorities have said the stolen weapons have no ties to terrorists. so that the hour, the big question is where are the weapons? have they been recovered? we contacted the u.s. attorney's office in boston. a spokeswoman there says right that. the only information they are releasing is what is in that affidavit. as for morales, he will appear in a federal courtroom at some point today in new york. and then we could learn more about the details of what exactly he was doing here and why. we are live in worcester this afternoon, steve cooper, 7 news. >> anchor: four police officers were taken to the hospital following an arrest in the city of boston.

a car on west brookline street. they were exposed to a hazardous materials commonly used when making the drug meth. boston medical center to be checked out. more breaking news. this coming out of harvard. where police are investigating a case of vandalism. police say these pictures of black law professors were targeted. cheryl fiandaca here with the latest now. >> reporter: the investigation is under way. students reported to the police that someone put pieces of black tape over photos of black professors. those photos right there. those are the photos. the incident discovered this week after a black lives matter march on campus. harvard law school says students noticed the defaced photos and contacted harvard the school says the investigation is ongoing. now, all of this coming as another rally is scheduled for later today. harvard school of public health planning a blackout

rally to show support and solidarity with the university of missouri over their concerns about racism on their campus. in the newsroom, cheryl fiandaca, 7 news. >> anchor: breaking news out of paris. french authorities have confirmed the mastermind behind friday's terror attacks was killed in a police raid. investigators using fingerprints to i.d. abdelhamid abaaoud. his body was badly damaged by gunfire in the raid. news of his death came after the release of some dramatic new video of the paris terror attacks. it captures the moment one of the terrorists opened fire on people at a paris cafe. that is gunfire sending everyone scrambling for cover. and now a propaganda video is promising even more attacks. this video features images of new york city and for more on all the day's developments, we go live to paris and diane gallagher. >> reporter: yeah, nancy. you know, in step with the country's commitment to kind

of keep a more open line of communication when it comes to isis, president barack obama spoke with france's francois hollande today on the phone, to get the latest developments in the investigation into the french attacks. the french prosecutor's office says abdelhamid abaaoud was killed wednesday in a raid north of paris. they add fingerprints confirmed his identity. wiretap evidence led police to an apartment where they bloody 7-hour raid. abdelhamid abaaoud's cousin died there also when she blew herself up. new surveillance video has surfaced on the dailymail.com. the footage was shot inside a from a gunman. you see people running for cover as a barrage of bullets filled the cafe. belgian law enforcement conducted half a dozen raids in brussels thursday, focusing on the friends and family of one of the paris attackers.

in the afternoon hours between 3:00 and 4:00. fast good idea to grab that umbrella if you have yet to head out. really, the bulk of this action and wet weather comes as we sleep tonight. and into the very early hours of tomorrow morning. by 6:00 a.m., pushing off to the east. and we are in for more drying and more mild temperatures again tomorrow. mostly cloudy today. highs will climb this afternoon into the mid to even some upper 50's. how long does that mild air stick around with us? we will get to the extended forecast in a few minutes. >> anchor: all right, thank you. new at noon, the future of fantasy football is okay for now in the state of massachusetts. the attorney general allowing those sites to keep operating. but now with tighter regulations. kimberly bookman has details. >> reporter: yeah, that is exactly right, nancy. that is major announcement from the attorney general. these web sites can continue to operate in the state. but they have to play by the rules. now, among these new regulations that were laid out age of 21 will be able to

in schools or on college campuses. there will be no betting on college or high school athletes. and pro athletes, agents and daily fantasy sports web site employees cannot participate in the on-line games. this all comes after a review of sites like boston-based draft kings and fan duel because of claims that some players had unfair advantages. new york's attorney general took a harder stance, shutting down the gaming altogether and calling it illegal. when asked why she didn't ban the web site here in massachusetts, this is what the attorney general maura healey had to say. >> we have taken this approach that i believe is in the best interest of consumers here in the state. we have looked at the law. we have looked at the information. we spent a lot of time studying this. and it is my belief that this is the best path forward when it comes to protecting consumers, protecting minors and the like. >> reporter: now, to be clear, this action does not stop legislators and the gaming commission from taking their

own steps. she plans to file these regulations tomorrow. they should go into effect by january 22. reporting live from beacon hill, kimberly bookman, 7 news. >> reporter: testimony at times very graphic. jurors hearing about how exactly colleen ritzer's body was found. the teenage murder suspect philip chism sat quietly and calmly. this is the last video image of the math teacher alive. a forensic scientist said she made the gruesome discovery, saying while searching the woods for evidence, she saw a toe with its nail painted pink sticking out, the body otherwise completely covered in leaves. prosecutors say ritzer was killed in a bathroom and a janitor took the stand explaining how a language barrier led to him scrubbing the murder scene clean. even though he says it look

like a bloodbath. apparently, another janitor thought he said something blue in the bathroom when he said there was blood in the bathroom. testimony is continuing at this hour: it will go until 1:00. one other thing that the jury did hear about was a piece of paper that police told the jurors they found next to colleen ritzer's body. on that piece of paper, were the words written "i hate you all." live in salem, victoria warren, 7 news. >> anchor: catherine greig expected in court today. the longtime girlfriend of james "whitey" bulger has refused to testify before a grand jury. greig is already serving an eight-year sentence for helping bulger hide from authorities. now to the race for the white house. republican candidate jeb bush in concert right... concord right now to officially file paperwork to get on the new hampshire primary. earlier, he attended a business tour in manchester.

later on today, he will be in londonderry for a town hall meeting. a wild night in worcester last night as protesters are escorted out of the donald trump rally. the republican front-runners' supporters were booing the protesters while they were being removed. they were yelling "trump is a racist." on three separate occasions, protesters were removed from the event. at that rally last night, trump had a few things to say about his competitors, including jeb bush. >> do we love tom brady? jeb bush... recently... it's over. i don't want to waste a lot of time on him. it is over. recently he said, "donald trump's tone is very tough." that's what we need! we need tough tone! >> anchor: meantime, presidential candidate bernie sanders is criticizing super pacs. it seems he is getting a lot of backing from one. a super pac tied to the national nurses union has

>> bri: nice and mild for this noon hour. 47 for worcester. 49 in fitchburg. these temperatures will still continue to climb in the afternoon and evening hours. already an improvement upon yesterday's temperatures. anywhere from 5-7 degrees of warming from just 24 hours ago. but it is not necessarily one of those days where we run through the streets without the jackets. because the clouds have moved in on us. they are thickening in as well. here is our wet weather to work in for this afternoon and into this evening. already taking some showers into the central part of new england. the berkshires. and even some pop showers for southern new hampshire. we want to run through the timeline. can't rule out the potential for seeing an isolated shower in the afternoon hours. between 3:00, 4:00 this afternoon.

commute for that action to get going. overnight tonight looks to be the wettest hours that we have ahead of us with this storm system working on through. by 6:00 a.m. tomorrow, it is stretching off to the east and we should be done with this for the better part of tomorrow as well. temperatures, we get to keep them mild tomorrow. a nice tradeoff. we do need the rainfall. it has been a dry month so far. relatively mild as well. almost two inches below normal. where we should be for that rainfall. tonight, we will get a good soaking. half an inch to up to an inch for most locations. and there is the potential for some areas overreaching that. maybe an inch and a half if they see the rain for a little bit longer. the possibility of even seeing some rumbles of thunder or hearing them, rather. can't see that. rain chance this week very early tomorrow morning as i mentioned. but turning off by 6:00, 7:00 a.m.. we have to wait until sunday, again, to get more of a chance for that rainfall. high pressure pushes in, keeps us dry through friday. the bulk of saturday as well. and then as we get into sunday,

>> nancy: authorities are investigating a deadly helicopter crash in california. officials say the pilot was trying to land the plane at an airport near san diego when he lost control and crashed into the ground. two people were killed. that airport is now closed. a black lives matter protest turning vie lint in minnesota. demonstrators throwing rocks at police officers. this happened after police

those protestersst took place after an unarmed black man was gunned down by police over the weekend. a run-away bus barrelinging through the streets of san francisco. the driver onboard was trying to stop but those brakes did not work. the double-decker tour bus plowed right through barricades before finally crashing into an apple store. it was under construction. 20 people were hurt and five people are still in the hospital. well, black friday is still a week away, but already a fight has broken out at an ohio wal-mart. a woman was caught on camera attacking another shopper because she thought she was skipping the line. you see that woman at the counter getting yelled at and then shoved. grabbed by the hair and thrown to the ground. >> she rammed her car in front of me. i said, you know, sorry. i don't have time for. this she grabbed the back of my hair and throws me... i mean, literally throws me like, back. when i landed, i hit my back and my elbow and busted my head.

mastermind, the linchpin, the man that french authorities believe was behind the attack in paris. the massacre that killed 129 yesterday they raided that third-floor apartment. two people were killed. a woman and a man. they were not able to identify the man because his body was fire-fight. identification to establish abdelhamid abaaoud. it is a very, very important development. because the french believe that that terror cell was planning another attack in paris and at the same time, they will be stunned that he had managed to make his way here to the center of europe. prior to that, intelligence services believe he was with isis in syria and that he perhaps planned this plot from there. instead, he now appears that he has managed to make his way

and it is my belief that this is the best path forward when it comes to protecting consumers, protecting mine... minors and the like. >> nancy: is regulations are expected to go into effect in january. testimony continuing today in the murder trial of 16-year-old fill lyme chism. a forensic scientist describes seening colleen ritzer's toe sticking out from underneath a pile of leaves in the woods behind danvers high school. chism is accused of killing his math teacher inside a school bathroom in 2013. and also on the stand, a janitor who cleaned that bathroom. now, because of a possible language barrier, the janitor inadvertently scrubbed away evidence in ritzer's murder. now on one station:. >> they said it didn't happen. they said she is going to walk through the door. i know she is. >> nancy: the mother of a teenager is heart-broken after her daugt you are was found dead inside a halifax home. the man accused is in jail. police made the disturbing

discovery after he lured another teenage girl to his home. and nicole oliverio has more from halifax. >> taking a little person's life. she was 19! >> reporter: mother tries to catch her breath, reliving the moment police told her her daughter was dead. >> i said no, it didn't happen. she is going to walk through the door. i know she is. >> reporter: officers found the 19-year-old stabbed to death. her body placed in a closet inside a halifax home. investigators say this man, a 32-year-old killed her. in court, prosecutors claim she went to his home to have sex with him for money and there was a struggle. >> they start to argue over the price. she wants the price they agreed on. >> reporter: randall's mother doesn't believe that. she says her daughter went there to get a tattoo and that she expresses herself through body art. >> to think that someone would stab your kid six times for no reason. because she wanted a tattoo.

>> reporter: police found randall while searching for another missing teen from duxbury. investigators say the day after the murder, the man lured a 16-year-old to his home using the social media app "meet me." the missing teen's cell phone led them to the home. there was blood on the floor. the new mom was just starting to turn her life around. >> she was a good girl. she wanted to have a normal family. just a family. >> reporter: she believes her daughter went to see the man him. something she had done in the past. randall leaves behind a nine-month-old son. >> nancy: breaking news. there is a water main break to tell you about on revere beach parkway. we take live look from sky 7 hd. through. state police and local police helping to block off traffic. but one lane does seem to be making its way across. people who live in the area

are also told they may experience an interruption in water service. that is one thing to be concerned about. this is right next to suffolk downs on revere beach parkway. so that is something to be aware of if you are in that area. meantime, mayor marty walsh proposing to raise the minimum wage to buy tobacco products in boston. to 21. it is part of several changes the mayor is now suggesting for the city's tobacco regulations. they include banning the sale of flavored tobacco products in local stores except for 21 and over smoking shops and bars. the board of health is expected to vote on the changes next month. and workers from logan airport now on strike. employees met at south station last nig. they claim there are health and safety hazards at logan. they are also asking for a salary of $15 an hour. airline spokespeople say they have plans in place to make sure there are no flight interruptions. and police in pennsylvania are looking for an arsonist who accidentally lit himself on fire. here is surveillance video of

the incident. you can see if you look closely, the suspect is in a gray sweatshirt. running away right there with his arm on fire. authorities are asking local hospitals to be on the lookout for someone who comes in with severe burns. police say he is responsible for lighting vehicles on fire at a repair yard. and a school bus slamming into a store in pennsylvania. you can see the store was a total mess. police say a man stole the bus and crashed it into the store early this morning. also police officers in a small town in wisconsin are taking a different approach to stop bullying. the accused bully's parents will now be the ones paying the price. earlier this month, the town of plover passed an anti-bullying ordinance. >> it's the school's job to teach the kids.

>> nancy: welcome back. if the cost of a thanksgiving dinner is adding up. thanksgiving meal for ten people will cost more than $50. that is the highest it has been in the last five years. the consumer experts say it is caused by the rising prices in turkey and stuffing. thanksgiving a week away. can you believe it i love my green bean casserole. that's what i'm excited about. >> bri: favorite. yup. mashed potatoes. cranberries on the table. i'm a fan of pot luck. then you bring whatever dish you want. we have had a warm start to november soer fa. not a surprise. didn't feel like november until recently. we are running about five degrees above average for this

time. only three days have been colder than normal. our mini warm-up, we are enjoying right now. low to mid-50's for most. 52 for the city of boston. it is about 3-7 degrees warmer than it was just 24 hours ago. clouds have already moved into the picture. sunshine out for the rest of the day. and we are waiting on this wet weather to work. in as you take a look at the wet weather, it doesn't look significant. some scattered showers. part of the state. and also into central new england. for us, later overnight, though, this will become more significant as along this front, a low pressure system forms. that gives it more lift. it is almost like squeezing out the wash cloth over the area. as we sleep tonight. you can see that happening with the timeline here. in the overnight hours. possibly even a couple of rumbles of thunder. we can't rule that out. doesn't look likely. then pushing that wet weather out of here by about 6:00 or 7:00 tomorrow morning.

f so tail end of the morning commute, it should be drying up. late-day rain for us. again, more likely as we move into the later hours of today. it looks like past 7:00, that is when the rain starts to work in. and again, overnight, that is we need the rain. we are about two inches below normal and since october 1, normal. we will take every drop we can get. looks like half an inch to an inch for most. the potential for maybe closer to an inch and a half to two inches for some localized areas. if they really get that rainfall pumping through tonight. now, next best chance looks to be sunday and even the potential for some wet snowflakes to work in with this front as it passes through. again, early in the day on sunday. we are not talking about accumulation at all. there is the potential for seeing some flakes fly. today, mostly cloudy. temperatures rise as we reach those later hours. 55-60 overnight tonight. and tomorrow, we keep the mild weather around with us. now, i know it is a week off.
