sharon with the breaking details on ts loss. jon. reporter: this is a tough one. such a somber time here in sharon as people grieve the loss of this 18-year-old recent high school graduate who was murdered in the occupied west bank. he was doing a gap between high school and college. his rabbi and the consulate in boston, the israeli consulate confirmed the terrorists gunned down ezra schwartz who had just graduated from a jewish high school in brookline. he was studying in israel. the camp's facebook page posted this message. it says quote the camp family is heart broken to share the sad news that long time camper and counselor ezra schwartz was murdered in a terrorist attack in israel today. ezra was heading back from volunteering handing out food to soldiers. now shots were reportedly fired at

several cars stopped at an intersection. ezra apparently was in one of them and was hit by bullets. there were five people killed in that attack. much more coming up on 7 news at 6:00. rabbi. the family is holed up in the house here in sharon and they don't want to speak about this unspeakable tragedy. live, jonathan hall, 7 news the alleged mastermind behind friday's massacre has been taken out. authorities confirm abdelhamid abaaoud was killed in a police raid yesterday. >> experts warn just because abaaoud is dead it doesn't mean the threat is over. brandon gunnoe live in the news room with the latest. reporter: kim and adam, that's exactly right. killing the mastermind is certainly a win but french leaders are outraged he was in the country without them being notified.

failing. it's been confirmed here that one of france's most wanted terrorist, abdelhamid abaaoud, is dead. killed in a seven hour apartment raid earlier this week. riddled with bullets he was identified only bin fingerprints and dna. we're getting a picture of the female suicide bomber, abaaoud's cousin, who blew herself up during the raid. a clear signal this was an telling failure. that's what the minister hinted at today. >> it was a non-eu state that informed france only on monday that abaaoud had passed through greece and arrived in mainland europe. france's president says his country is taking the lead in taking out isis. >> the rule of law is the most precious thing

reporter: so police are still questioning eight people during that raid on the apartment. two were shot. meanwhile authorities in brussels raided half a dozen homes today looking for friends or family of the paris attackers. in the news room, brandon gunnoe, 7 news. authorities in new york city responding to targeted threats made by isis. city leaders do say they won't be intimidated by this new isis video that features images of places like times square. the images in the video aren't recent but there is growing concern from the message from extremists. ryan schulteis is live with that story today. reporter: security has been released. they say they will not be intimidated. just hours after isis released a new propaganda video that uses images of times square, they held a late night press conference. >> we cannot be intimidated and that's

what terrorists seek to do. reporter: not nearly as polished as past propaganda videos made. >> the video demonstrates explosive belts and a car bomb. towards the end a child congratulations the attackers in france and vows more violence to come. followed by those images of times square, just days after a similar warning to washington, d.c. homeland security reports there are 900 active investigations to home grown extremists spanning every bit of this country. the named says they've thwarted three plots inspired by the terror group including one in june. two men rescued how to make pressure cooker bombs while scouting tourist locations in new york city. on monday the department of announced a new strike force called the frontline against terrorism. part of a new plan to confront an evolving challenge.

minors. also on 7 a suspect behind bars accused stealing military weapons from an armory in worcester. investigators say the suspect is a former army reservist who is also facing charges in a child rape case. steve cooper live in worcester with more details on that arrest. steve? reporter: adam according to the 12 page affidavit that was released by the u.s. attorneys office in boston earlier today with cell phones able to connect fbi agents with the suspect where he was arrested in new york on long island last night. meanwhile here at the armory in worcester tonight, an awful lot of people are wondering what this suspect was planning to do with those stolen weapons. this is the man, james morales, of cambridge federal agents now have in custody in connection with a break-in in worcester saturday night. that's where investigators say the 34-year-old broke into a building through the kitchen window, then used a power saw to cut his way into the roof of

the weapons vault. according to the complaint morales took off with 16 weapons including six assault rifles that look like this and nine pistols similar to this one. >> we've had contact with him in the past. >> morales it turns out is no stranger to the law. back in may he was charged with child rape and indecent acalled on a child under the age of 14. court officials say by the summer he had benefited with a gps tracking device. fbi agents say they were able to place morales inside the armory by the tracking bracelet which he cut off on monday. they were also able to link blood at the crime scene to morales's dna. morales was at the armory two days earlier to get copies of his discharged papers. >> we'll have to dig into what happened and why and we will not shy away from having a conversation with the community. >> federal agents say

there are no ties to terrorism here. now as for the weapons, where are they tonight? u.s. attorneys office had no comment of we asked them earlier in the day. as for morales, he's being held right now and due in a federal courtroom in new york in the morning. steve cooper, 7 news. there are new details on a fantasy fight. attorney general maura healey doubling down on popular fantasy football websites. the major changes intended to protect consumers. elizabeth noreika is live in our news room to tell us what those measures are. reporter: maura healey weighing in on the fight. anyone under 21 would be banned from playing daily fantasy sports and fantasy sites would not be allowed to advertize on school compasses. the regulations are the best ways to protect consumers.

bit at least two people. the animal managed to get out of its cage. in texas people can get permits to own, in case you were wondering, certain types of monkeys. >> i was all on board until i heard about the biting. >> my dad had a spider monkey growing up and said it was a terror. you know, cute but not the best pet. >> my sister always want aid monkey. we always had a lot of fake monkeys. i think that's the best way to go. downpours and wind coming in. a cold start to early next week. those temperatures will be chilly but then some moderation. next week is quiet. i don't see storms threatening. i don't see a lot of arctic air. i don't see much of anything but senator biden all week long. now into the rain. this is essentially the biggest event that we'll see here for the next week or so. so that bodies well for traveling and any plans for thanksgiving. area of rain across jersey and pennsylvania. get to that in a second.

right now there's not a lot to bother us. sprinkles, that's it. even through the chatham sea coast and then the sea shore all the way to the sea coast of new hampshire. that's what i was thinking. rain fading now south of nantucket. this is where we're going to start to make hay here and watch that area grow. it will grow into downpours and then head up through western connecticut and then western mass as well, and then it translates east on the front. downpours, yes. with a good southeast wind and there may be a rumble of thunder involved here with this ribbon of heavy rain that develops. but it's late at night. it's midnight until 3:00. the rain will be coming down hard and that wind gust to maybe 30 miles an hour as the downpours move through. once that passes we quiet down tomorrow morning so i don't see a lot of issues for the morning ride, i really don't, other than leftover rain. going through the night tonight, very little

chance of rain between 6:00 and 9:00 but then it spikes around 11:00 to 3:00 a.m. then we're dry by about 9:00. how much rain in those downpours we could tip the scale and bring it up close to an inch of rain in some spots. otherwise i think as the downpours descend out of central mass, come out of the hill country of central mass, they may fade a little bit or weaken. still 6/10ths of an inch, i'm up for that. anything's better than what we've been in which has been a dry spell or drought. some gusts over 40 miles an hour. then just like the rain, it shuts down quickly tomorrow morning as the front passes. 53 not good enough for you. 54 in orange. well, upper 50s to lower 60s now across western mass and connecticut too. we'll get into that milder air as we go through the night tonight. those temperatures actually rise. southeast wind

busted a centerville man for a special holiday delivery. a teen banned from a field trip for having diabetes. what sparked this sudden attack at walmart. we start at 5:30 with breaking news, a local teen murdered in a terrorist attack overseas. this is 18-year-old ezra schwartz. he was studying in israel when that deadly shooting happened. >> let's get right over to adam williams at the breaking news desk with more. reporter: we're told the 18-year-old was in israel studying during a gap year between high school and college. schwartz was a graduate of the school in brookline, grew up in sharon. he was a long time camper and counselor at a jewish summer camp in northwood, new hampshire. he was killed in the north bank when a palestinian opened fire on several cars stuck in traffic. he and two others were killed.
