>> this is 7 news at noon. >> nancy: breaking news at noon. a missing two-year-old girl from hamilton has been found alive. lyndon albers has been reunited with her parents after being rushed to beverly hospital. right now, the investigation is ongoing. police releasing limited details on lyndon's condition or how she was found. detectives remain at several crime scenes on the north shore. we have team 7 coverage of the breaking story.

hamilton. >> reporter: those kram scenes remain in place right now as out. here at the command post where there were an awful lot of police for several hours this morning, no doubt, there is relief here this afternoon with word that the toddler was located. at the same time, why and how she ended up where she ended up remains unclear at this hour. that has a lot of people in town looking for answers from investigators. police say the two-year-old lyndon albers was taken to beverly hospital this morning to be reunited with her parents after she was found in rowelly. we don't know her condition at this hour. the toddler was first reported missing around 6:00 this morning from her home which is located here in town at 4 lincoln avenue. her parents and four-year-old sister were in the house at the time. we are told according to investigators, that police received that call first thing this morning. but that it was the little

girl around 2:00 this morning. and then presumably, when the parents woke up, they realized the girl was missing. a massive ground and air search was launched this morning before the girl was eventually located on harrison circle which is in the neighboring community of rowley. we are told that is 8-10 miles away and certainly, right now, the question a lot of people are asking is how did she get from hamilton to that location in rowley? and also investigators won't tell us who found her there. but again, she was found there. she was taken to beverly hospital. we are told that police were talking to her parents. as we heard late this morning at a news conference, police said after talking to the parents, they were taking the parents from here over to beverly hospital so they could be reunited with their daughter. you can image a lot of anxious moments this morning. some relief right now. but for people who live in town here, a lot of questions about how this whole thing happened and why. we are live outside the

command post here in hamilton this afternoon, steve cooper, 7 news. >> nancy: all right, coop. thank you. you were talking about this area in rowley. it is eight miles, 20 minutes apart from lincoln avenue in south hamilton. that is where albers' home is. any indication that there might be charges filed or any kind of criminal investigation? >> reporter: we are being told right now by state troopers who are assigned to the detective's division of the esses county district attorney's office, they are working to try to piece everything together right now. obviously, a lot of people shaking their heads here. because if you try to put two and two together, none of this makes any sense. as to how a toddler could have made it those eight miles. whether thatted to already was driven there, whether the toddler somehow walked there. it is really unclear right now. what's happening here at the police station is detectives

are working and trying to tie up all the loose ends and get this together. we did hear from the state police spokesman as they are treating several locations as crime scenes right now. one of the main reasons they are doing that is because they are until they are able to rule things out as to exactly what happened here, they have to treat this as a crime until they can figure out exactly how that girl left the house and how she ended up in rowley and where she was located around 10:00 this morning. >> nancy: all right, thank you. obviously, a lot of questions there. we are learning new information about the ongoing investigation. cheryl fiandaca is live now in the newsroom with the breaking details. >> reporter: police are questioning a person in connection with this incident. my source is telling me the person of interest is cooperating with investigators and is answering questions. and there are a lot. how to child got out of the home and how she ended up on the side of the road with a head your. police have not made an arrest yet. this investigation, i'm told, is unfolding very quickly.

the baby, my sources say, was found by rowley residents on the side of the road this morning. they called police. she had a head your. so far, i understand that she does not have life-threatening injuries. sources say the person of interest in this case is cooperating and an arrest could be made in this case very shortly. cheryl fiandaca, 7 news. >> nancy: as we mentioned in rowley, police swarming a neighborhood there. jonathan hall continuing our team coverage with what we are learning about that. >> reporter: nancy, good afternoon. there is a crime scene with a pretty large state police presence on harrison circle in rowley. again, that is eight miles hamilton. there was a georgetown police officer here blocking the road. some people cannot gain access to harrison circle. we have seen state troopers going up and down this road which leads up to harrison circle.

and they have a k-9 unit. they are questioning clues at this point. more questions than answers as we continue through this. a large police presence here. state police going in and out of this home in rowley on harrison circle. this is connected to the hamilton case. and it is a very sad situation. we are still waiting for details on whether there is a suspect being quelled or in custody. we are live in rowelly, i'm jonathan hall, 7 news. >> nancy: all right, jon. thank you. the two-year-old's neighborhood remains blocked off right now. as police continue to comb for clues. let's go live to jennifer eagan who has been there all morning long. >> reporter: nancy, police just opened up this neighborhood a short time ago. but they do still remain here on scene. you can see that state troopers are still here on scene right now on lincoln avenue. the home across the street from where i'm standing, this yellow home here, that is the family's home from what we understand. state police say they are waiting on a search warrant

inside and investigate. this afternoon about what happened. state and local police had this whole neighborhood blocked off and any streets that intersected with it as they searched for this morning. they had a state police helicopter up in the sky hovering over this neighborhood. in particular,. they had k-9 units as well in this area. those units have all left. now investigators remain behind. again, they are waiting on a search warrant so they can go inside and investigate. there are still many questions about what happened here earlier this morning. but we have had our first chance to talk to neighbors. they tell us that this family also has a five-year-old daughter. they described this family as a very loving and active family who moved into this neighborhood last december. they say the parents are in their 30's or so. again, they have another daughter as well. they say when they found out their two-year-old daughter was missing, they were shocked. we are live in hamilton this afternoon, 7 news. >> nancy: all right, thank you. lyndon albers, the two-year-old was rushed to

beverly hospital immediately after being found. we are told she is in fair we go live to beverly with more. >> reporter: we are told that little girl got here a little she is here at beverly hospital. listed in fair condition. as far as hospital conditions go, there is good, fair, serious, and critical. again, she has been listed as fair. she is here under observation. police couldn't give her specific injuries. they did plan on coming here to the hospital. at the hospital, we did see a number of cruisers at the entrance of the emergency room. we are also told she is being reunited with her parents here at the hospital. again, a little two-year-old lyndon albers in fair condition here at beverly hospital. we are live at the hospital, 7 news. >> nancy: a pick-up truck and commuter rail train crashed in newbury this morning. no word on injuries right now.

we will keep you posted as we learn more. and breaking news. this from overseas. islamic extremists storm a hotel in mali, initially taking hostages. officials say at least ten people have been killed. the radisson hotel in the capital city is a popular destination with westerners. at least ten gunmen fired shots and threw grenades as they chanted "god the is great" in arabic. as of right now, at least 80 hostages have been set free. according to reports, dozens more could still be inside. we have the breaking details. >> the hostage situation in mali is over. security sources are reporting that two attackers involved in the storming have been killed and wounded civilians are being evacuated. a number of hostages were already freed, or escaped on their own. including six americans. the mall ian military earlier moved into the hotel. while the nearby u.s. embassy earlier told staffer and all

americans in the area to shelter in place. nbc news learned that before the hostages were freed, that at least 138 were inside the radisson blue hotel in mali's capital. 125 are guests. 13 hotel staff members. at one point, the hotel said 170 guests and employees were taken hostage. the pentagon correspondent reports about 25 u.s. military personnel were at the hotel to help organize the evacuation. mark barger, nbc news. >> nancy: a third body has been found at the site over a raid earlier this week in a paris suburb. that raid killed the so-called mastermind behind last friday's terror attacks. the third body is that of a woman. they do not yet know her identity. there is a very public attempt by the obama administration to relieve fears following the terror in paris. there is disagreement on

>> reporter: right. so there is a lot of relief here at the command post where we have been since first thing this morning when dozens and dozens of state troopers and emergency responders converge ready to be dispatched out into the woods around the home where all this was unfolding. but even at this hour, what remains unclear is how this toddler ended up in another community: again, she is at the hospital this afternoon. but so many questions still unanswered at this hour. of course, this all began this morning when we learned that police were looking for two-year-old lyndon albers. she was taken to beverly hospital to be reunited with her parents. according to the police chief who we talked to a little while ago. we don't knoll her condition. the toddler was first reported missing at 6:00 this morning located on lincoln avenue. her parents and her four-year-old sister were in the house at the time when all this happened. now, a massive ground and air search was launched this morning before the girl was located.

harrison circle and neighboring rowley which is eight miles away from where we are right now. police say that area and several other locations remain sealed off at this hour. still being treated as crime scenes. the police chief spoke with us late this morning. >> right now, the child has been found. she was transported to beverly hospital. for observation. she is being reunited with her parents as we speak. and it's an ongoing investigation. we have been working with the state police as well as the district attorney's office. >> i'll tell you that she was found in an area where passer-biers could find her. because this is an active investigation, i don't want to get into that right now. >> there is a lot of moving parts, as the chief explained. i know you have an interest in any information as immediately as possible but our interest is to investigate as thoroughly as possible. this is being treated as a crime scene, obviously. until we more know about

on just what happened here. but so far, no official information on what happened to this toddler. sky 7 was over a home at number eight harrison circle. you can see that police were going in and out of this house. this is about eight miles from this toddler's home in hamilton. the police were also looking over a vehicle. a police source tells me this is a sad situation and the activity here is, in fact, connected to the little girl's disappearance in hamilton. police had just been at the house. take a look at this. harrison circle is off newbury road in rowley. two state troopers have been searching for evidence with a trained dog. there is no indication the dog found anything. and so far, no one here is commenting. neighbors here are telling me they hope this toddler is

half an inch to three-quarters of an inch of rain. factor in the rain last night and early this morning. these are the numbers for the month of november. we needed the rain. we still could use some more. we are still running about eight inches below normal for hard to believe. winter. but it was a dry powdery snow. there was no moisture in in that snow when it melted and faded away. i'm not rooting for 110 inches of snow. just remarkable. winter. there you go. the weather system moving, a cool front moving away from ironically enough, the cool air is nowhere to be found right here in metro-boston. it is lagging behind by several hours. the city right now at 59. plymouth at 60 degrees. you head back into western new england and the numbers come down a little bit. jaffrey at 52. you take it even farther west. albany, 51. burlington, at 50. i don't have numbers on here for you.

blues. that cool air behind the front, it is on the move. and it will arrive late today and more likely, early this evening. if you have plans this evening, if it's date night tonight, make sure you layer up. it is mild now. but it will really cool off once that sun drops out of the sky. temps heading quickly now through the 50's and 40's this evening. through the afternoon, a lot of sunshine. the city early this afternoon, 57. lakeville at 58. merrimack valley, numbers in the 50's. back in the worcester hills, low to middle 50's. and out on the cape and the islands, temps in the mid-50's. tonight, mostly clear and chilly. evening temps, 40's. overnight tonight, we are heading into the low and middle 30's. downtown boston, 36-37 tomorrow morning. through the day tomorrow, lots of sunshine. cool. sunday more clouds around. a cool front comes at us sunday afternoon. again, that may generate a couple of clouds and sprinkles sunday morning. then the front itself will come through sunday evening. and sets the stage for some really chilly air early next

here is one treat you can make. a custard tart. bri eggers gets a taste in today's what's cooking. >> bri: for a different take on your thanksgiving dessert, try out this custard tart made at barbaloo in boston. it is one of the most popular desserts in the back bay. >> this is something the chef loves. >> bri: start by making the pastry crepe. now mix flour and sugar. >> give that a little whisk. >> bri: add six egg yolks. one whole egg. mix well. >> you want to blend these together. >> bri: now the hot milk. >> a little bit at the time. >> bri: mix well and put back on the stove. whisking until thick. >> that is our pastry cream. >> bri: now the dough. unsalted butter and sugar. one egg and egg yolk. while that is mixing, blend

that is the story we have been bringing you all morning long. hospital where she is now in fair condition. police still trying to figure

>> nancy: the two-year-old girl who disappeared from hamilton in the middle of the night has been found safe and alive. lyndon albers vanished morning. after hours of searching, albers was found in rowley eight miles from her home.

at this point, it is unclear how albers made it that far. sources say she was found on the side of the road with a head injury. she was in fair condition when she arrived at beverly hospital for treatment. and she has since been transferred to boston children's hospital. sources tell 7 news police are questioning a person in connection with this incident. those sources say the person is cooperating with police and answering questions. and state police say troopers are treating several scenes as active crime scenes while they investigate. but again, the headline at this hour. lyndon albers has been found alive after disappearing from her home in hamilton. of course, there are still plenty of questions about this incident and we will continue to follow this breaking story throughout the afternoon. you can get the latest updates on our web site, whdh.com. and that will do it for 7 news at noon. thank you for joining us. i'm nancy chen. 7 news continues at 4:00.
