taking a look at the headlines. in health news a new study suggesting that had a higher heart rate when you're resting may be associated with a higher risk of dying. according to the national institute of health, the average heartbeat for an adult sitting on a sofa is 60 to 100 beats per minute, but the study found risk of death from cardio vascular causes at a resting heart rate is 90 plus beats per minute. the study published in canada says there is no direct cause and effect and notes that other factors may be at play as well. ford is recalling more than 450,000 cars because of the possibility of a leak in the gas tanks.

2011 ford fusion and mercury milan sedans built in mexico. some of the cars have a purge valve that can cause changes in pressure inside the face tank and could cause a leak and potentially a fire. ford says there's been no reports of injuries. researchers at washington university's school of medicine are calling for a nationwide ban on crib bumpers. studying data from the consumer products safety commission they found the number of infant deaths and injuries attributed to crib bumpers tripled in recent years. most of 23 children who died from 2006 to 2012 suffocated. researchers say most of the deaths could have been prevented if bumpers had not been used in the crib. and a 14-year-old didn't waste any time setting the new world record for solving the rubik's cube. it took lucas etter 4.9 seconds in maryland and beats an old mark and the record pack in 1982
