>> let's check in with joe stapleton for a first look at your roads. reporter: getting an update now. northbound and southbound out by route 9 in wellesley still dealing with that delay, still dealing with the box truck up on the jersey barrier and they have been since 2:30 this afternoon. both directions trying to squeeze by here. 128 southbound, delays start back in burlington, finish down by route 9 in wellesley. got some delays here too along soldiers field road, that stays heavy right down towards leverett circle. i'm joe stapleton, 7 news. one person is dead after a car hit three men outside of a store plaza in natick.

sky 7 over the scene earlier this afternoon and police say a woman in her 80s somehow lost control of her car and ended up crashing into that building hitting the men. investigators are still at the scene trying to figure out exactly what happened. also on 7 a teacher threatened in rockland. now a student is in serious trouble. police say the 13-year-old boy had a knife and was going to kill one of his teachers. kelli o'hara live in rockland with the very latest on this. reporter: good evening. that teen is going to be in front of a judge next week to answer charges of bringing a ten inch knife to school and threatening to kill his teacher. >> i'm surprised. something like that should be made aware to the parents. >> i wasn't pleased. i have two kids who go here. it was nerve-wracking to think your kids are here and something like that goes on and you don't even get a call.

>> it's scary. reporter: parents in rockland not too pleased they didn't know about this, a ten inch knife brought to school by a boy with very bad intentions. >> wanted to harm a teacher. >> kill a teacher. >> yeah, kill a teacher. reporter: the ten inch exotic looking knife looks more like a dagger police say. it all went down two weeks ago, a 13-year-old boy telling his classmates in the school parking lot that he wanted to hurt his teacher. another boy listening, took the knife, gave it to his parents who then called police. >> it's scary, especially nowadays. >> the district says they took threes threats very seriously but let parents know of threats on a case by case basis. parents we met say it doesn't matter, they should have been told. >> it's concerning, yes. >> i think we should know something about that, especially if it

happened on school property. >> now the school says they did discipline that 13-year-old, but does he still go to school here or not? they are not saying. they take this matter very seriously. in rockland, kelli o'hara, 7 news. a local man facing a judge in brockton. the 52-year-old man is accused breaking into a home monday afternoon. adam williams joins us now with more on this story. >> that teenager ran into a bathroom and hid in her home of she heard someone breaking glass. the teen's mother tells us that her daughter was able to call police while hiding in the bathroom. they showed up shortly after and arrested breton. >> she was very brave even though she was super scared and god's grace was definitely with her. so very happy she's okay. windows and things like that can be replaced. but lives can't, very happy.

accused breaking in is being held on $75,000 cash bail. in the news room, i'm adam williams, 7 news. a framingham woman facing charges for allegedly letting her children help her shop lift. police say her four young which i know were used to help her as she hid items in a baby stroller. charges against the 45 6 year-old man were upgraded. he is expected back in court in january. massachusetts attorney general maura healey announcing a new initiative against student debt. healey says they have started out by cracking down on loan companies. >> today we are taking action from two of these

companies from operating here in massachusetts and working on getting money back from these companies to make these students whole. >> healey said some companies have agreed to stop doing business in the state. we are following more news today. a chicago police officer charged with murder is denied bail. prosecutors say officer jason van dyke shot and killed mcdonald in 2014. dash cam video of the incident does exist. it's believed the video will show video of a small knife. >> the dash camera of one of the responding cars captured the shooting but no audio was recovered. although some of the other responding units had operating dash cams. due to their positioning, they did not capture the actual shooting. >> a judge has ordered that video to be released. the city of chicago has already paid $5 million to the family. a new orleans man

accused of shooting a medical student is behind bars. he is accused of shooting peter fold, a tulane university medical student. officials say gold was shot once in the stomach and the gunman tried to shoot him again but his gun jammed. >> it was a chilling video, even for those of us hardened from seeing this stuff. he was going to kill him, there's no question. the guy who was going to do this was a cold blooded killer and i would call it domestic terrorism. the jury in the trial for the first baltimore police officer charged in freddie gray's death will be anonymous but won't be sequestered. they expect between 75 and 80 people for that jury pool. jury selection will begin next week. gray died in a police van while he was arrested earlier this week. the officers have pled

not guilty. a school bus burst into flames after a car crashes into it. philadelphia police were chasing the car along this highway before it crashed into the bus. after the incident there, one suspect got into the car and shot the officer. caught on camera, fan frenzy leading to a dangerous encounter in orlando florida. new video shows a deputy opening fire on a man outside a wwe wrestling center. a man was disturbing the office. the family says this all starts over his obsession with that company. reporter: newly-released video shows the disturbing incident back in august. the 29-year-old can be seen howling, giving obscene hand gestures and pounding on the glass doors of this wwe training center in orlando, florida. moments later police arrive with guns of

moments later he turns around, appears to pick something up off the ground and charges them. officers didn't use a taser but did shoot and critically injury a man. after employees at the center documented him repeatedly trespassing, threatening employees and smearing human feces on the property. instead of saying away, the man allegedly obsessed with a female wwe wrestler confronted employees once again. in addition to professing his desire for the female wrestler, he expressed a desire to join the wwe team. >> i won't let you down, man. i don't need no guns because -- [inaudible] >> he now faces several charges including aggravated assault, resisting an officer with violence and

lawmakers in massachusetts sending smoke signals creating regulations on the sale of e-cig receipts. the new laws have been in effect for a few weeks as vaping seems to be gaining even more popularity. >> vaping stores are popping up all over the place. >> vaping right now is probably the biggest thing and hottest thing to hit the market. reporter: it's a $1.5 billion market in the u.s. proof this puffing is

>> this is our grand opening. reporter: contestants were making big clouds by puffing on a vape riser. the battery devices atomize the neck teen. these clouds aren't smoke and vaping fans say where there's no smoke, there's no harm convinced. >> it doesn't mean that in and of itself it is safe. reporter: tammy is the executive director of tobacco-free mass. she says the days of the high school smoking area may have been left in the '80s but today's young people are starting to vape and use e-cig receipts more under the perception they are safe. >> young people haven't gotten the message that it's not just water vapor. there's formaldehyde and other carcinogens in the product.

and school staff to know kids are vaping if they don't catch them in the act. >> it's really aimed to kids. reporter: this mother says she's concerned about the flavor appeal and vaping catching on with teens. >> it also makes me kind of mad as a parent. we have enough to say -- safely maneuver these kids to adulthood. it seems in poor taste to have these products, so much of it, clearly available and marketed to kids. reporter: the state does do spot checks to make sure stores aren't selling vaporizers to kids under 18. less than 15% of stores over the past year sold to minors. they will continue to tron you cannily puff away with no worries. she says she's been vaping for two years now and feels it's completely safe. >> if i grew a tail in

wind chill factor about 38. a north northwest wind at 7 miles an hour. let's get into the highs today. they didn't go very far, did they? no. yeah, the second day in a row of below normal temperatures in boston. before that two days of normal temperatures. so is this a trend that we're working on? not really, no. looks like these temperatures will be warming. falling in fact a degree in boston but in the suburbs already down near freezing, especially out through fitchburg and worcester. black friday looks okay. temps climb to 60. very little rain. there will be some on friday night. colder finish to the holiday weekend on saturday and sunday. maybe get you in the mood for the next holiday which is the big one. now clouds across parts of northern new england. they seem to be on a bee line right into the commonwealth.

some of them don't. there will be a partly sky tonight and that's it. thursday's the day when we see the clouds gang up on us here and it will go overcast for a time on thursday. what happens is your winds switch out of the south southeast so this time of year that little moistening that you get from that wind direction will be enough just to create a dense area of clouds and the sun is way too week to burn through. too sleepy this time of year. nevertheless we're still milder. 45 to 54 between wednesday and thursday. that's pretty good jump and travel looks fine all the way through and into the holiday. even on saturday fair travel only because i have some showers early on and a gusty wind in the afternoon is still nothing that's really going to bother you. we're bright in the afternoon too. wednesday thursday all

smile on his nine-year-old daughter maddie's face and that's pretty amazing after all she's been through. she's battling cancer for the third time. >> we turn over every stone to find what we there's nothing else we can do now. >> up against time, the family decided christmas year. >> people caught wind of what they were doing and said we're going to do >> essentially lighting up for maddie. >> we've been following the story and it was important to us to make sure we were contributing to her having a nice christmas. reporter: and even with all she's going through, part of maddie's christmas wish is to collect gifts for other children so a toy drive is gaining steam on facebook. >> paying it forward. we're all helping this little girl and she's helping other people. that's amazing. reporter: it's the community support what amazes them and what they are thankful for.

will be closed for hours. reporter: over the scene in wellesley where the box truck is blocking the left lane. take a look at all of the head lines. you can see here backed up for miles here. state police say the problem is if they try to move the truck, they are going to have to close more lanes but with rush hour and holiday traffic is, they don't want to do that, so they are going to leave the truck where it is right now until traffic settles down. so they are willing to give up that one lane in an effort not to give up a few of them. we're told the truck crashed into the dividers and somehow landed on top of the blue hatchback there. if you look closely, you can see the windshield of that car is smashed in, very close call for whoever was inside that blue car. what we understand is no one was injured. that's the good news here. traffic is at a

standstill on route 128. backed up for miles. not moving very fast at all. state police warning people, they expect these lanes to be closed for up to six hours. you can imagine the delays, the frustrations for everyone out on the roads right now. we're going to keep an eye on this throughout the evening for you but that's the latest live in the news room, i'm nick emmons, 7 news. let's check in with fast track's joe stapleton. you can see the maps are lit up in red right now. reporter: 128 northbound and southbound right by route 9 on the left-hand side of the screen. that red line starts all the way back in the lexington area. they are waiting to remove that truck and as traffic certainly not moving behind it. we've had delays here on west-bound. a couple of earlier crashes out in the worcester area out by route 290.
