harassment. the nypd hate crimes task force is investigating the incident. he's usually a guy who makes people laugh but this time it was no funny business for do-do, the clown. o two women found themselves in serious trouble but that's when do-do put all tricks to the side and raced to the rescue. >> reporter: for over 30 years he's been been known as a clown and now some are calling him a hero. >> i'm used to getting 5, 10 emails a day. 12,000 -- 12,000 emails. >> reporter: 'do-do, the clown, whose real name is shane was driving downtown sunday afternoon answer even when he noticed a man acting strangely. >> the guy is running around pushing people. i call 911. >> reporter: with his cousin and two other clowns in the car, one pregnant, they followed the man. his dash-cam records as the man approaches two women on the street and turns around and runs to attack them. while you can't see the action, screaming. >> reporter: the woman managed to get into the clown car before the man started attacking her.

tense moments during a dangerous disaster in alabama as a smokestack demolition takes an unexpected turn. crews say the plan was to bring it down with one explosive effort. >> but instead, the operation almost cost one guy his life. to the big 5-0 and nantucket with a beautiful sunset there. check my twitter feed. so tomorrow, the clouds all over the place, unfortunately, with the wind out of the southeast, it doesn't look like the brightest of forecasts, a stream of clouds is gonna be difficult to pin down but where it's thickest, it seems like we may blot out the sun entirely. the best chances seem to be in western massachusetts and back into connecticut. so yeah, i'm going for a couple sphwhrashes of sun but it's not -- splashes of sun but it's not a problem at all. temperatures in the mid-50s. we start off around 40 degrees. our temperatures slide tonight and level off toward morning. so a little bit of a jump start as opposed to today and yesterday where we had to crawl out of the teens and 20s in some of the suburbs and around 30 downtown to get up to our highs in the 40s. it's so that much better off in the morning tomorrow. 55 in lawrence... friday a big spike in the temperatures, thanks a warm
