parenthood clinic in a strip mall. it left three officers injured. >> right now the gunman is still on the run. tim is live with the latest details. >> in the last half hour police say they are still encountering gunfire as they try to search for the shooter near a planned parenthood building this colorado springs. here's what we know. at least four officers have been hurt, but police will not elaborate on the extent of their injuries. police say other people were also injured today. a hospital spokesperson says right now they have eight patients. police say there is a possibility the gunman has taken hostages. it started two hours ago near a planned parenthood facility. but it is unclear if that specific organization was targeted by the shooter. police in nearby businesses heard more than 20 gunshots and not long after that they were told by police to shelter in place. >> i was on the phone with them and still looking outside. then i saw an officer fall to the ground.

to blame here. susan has more on what it looks like right now. have they cleared it up, susan? >> they will be all night here working to clean up this mess. it is just damaged that it happened. what you can see right here are crews still cleaning up. this is one of the three power poles that came down here in braomtree. we just smoke with the general manager -- we just spoke with the general manager and he said there was a pole in front of the restaurant and it was rotted out. it snapped and it fell. this is a 40 to 50-foot tall utility pole. well when it fell it took down two others. it all came crashing down. they described seeing a woman in her car just stuck in the middle of the street with power poles surrounding her. there were active power lines. what we also know is that in the transformer of these utility poles has oil and so there is roughly about 30 gallons of oil that had spilled out on to the street. they are trying to clean all

of that up. we know some of the oil got into the storm drains. that also has to be cleaned up. there was a point in time when much of braomtree was without power. we know now that 400 people were without power for some time. 90% of it did come back on within an hour. they still now have a dozen homes without power. the clean up is occurring right now. they have to clean up all three of these power poles and the oil that spilled. they know it was a rotted power pole in front of the restaurant that was the original one that snapped, fell and took down the other two. that's the latest live in braomtree. 7 news. following breaking news in boston, police are investigating an alleged assault involving philadelphia 76er jahlil okilfor. an alleged victim has come forward saying okilfore punched him several times outside a boston nightclub. the fight reportedly broke out after okilfore and another man

outside the club and asked some women for their phone numbers. the rookie -- the team lost a close game to the celtics and no charges are filed. a father is speaking out about a son who was caught in cross fire and killed. it happened outside a bar near fenway park. he worked as commuter rail conductor. >> and there is a massive manhunt underway. john, the victim's father is making a plea to the public as well. can you tell us about that? >> he is. he is asking if anyone knows anything to say something to police today. it would have been that victim's birthday. the father is still overcome with emotion after his son was killed here yesterday. >> i miss my best friend. >> the father of jeff cherry resays his tears haven't

stopped hins sis oldest child was killed on thanksgiving. he remembers the moment he found out. >> the guy tell you he just died. >> he was shot while walking about 2:00 on tuesday morning when bullets started flying at who's on first near fenway park. >> every indication is that the victim had nothing to do with what was playing out on the street. that's what bothers me more than anything. >> cherry was a commuter rail conductor and beloved to his family, friends and co-workers. >> i never sleep every day. my son, my best end from -- my best friend -- my best friend -- >> the police commissioner says who's on first has been in trouble in the past and they were checking on the bar hours before the shots rang out. >> and that is a nuisance

place. it is just one more reason why. >> i don't know why. >> and again police are asking if anyone knows anything to get in contact with them. live in boston, john coco7 news. several business owners report break ins. police say they are looking for the person seen in these surveillance pictures. investigators say they received three reports of break ins in the past week alone and all happened in the salem street area. anyone recognizes this guy or has any information you are asked to please call police. and an update to a story you saw first on 7, police are looking for a suspect and a victim after shots were fired in a chelsea neighborhood. they actually found blood there on the street, but they haven't found anyone hurt. the hospitals haven't had anyone with injuries come in, but they say the bullet went

investigators say a man allegedly wore a mask and carried blunt objects as they stormed their way into an auto repair shop. that's where they allegedly started beating several em employees when they ran off. the men had an -- some sort of fight with employees before the attack. >> 7 news is turning to your weather. let's get started with a live look outside. it is a beautiful black friday. tomorrow though, the temperatures take a tumble. >> can we just do this again? it is into the mid60s and we didn't break any records, but there was a record broken in hartford, connecticut. 2 has been a warm month for us. 4.2 degrees above average and it is back to normal tomorrow. it just takes awhile to get there for the temperatures to tumble.

if you are heading out this evening and you would need a sweater and light jacket. cloud cover is thickening. cold air not far from us. it is pushing through some of the showers as we work through the first day of the weekend tomorrow. so how much rain are we expecting? we will get to the details in the extended forecast. the patriots had a task trying to tackle the broncos. they are trying to keep their record perfect, but listing -- but facing injury. >> when the schedule was announced in april fans had sunday night circled on their calendars anticipating a 17th showdown between tom brady and peyton manning. with manning sidelined with an injury the hall of famers will have to wait until the post season for another shot at the rivalry.

manning is part of a list sitting out including amendola. he is a limited participant for a second day at practice. he will be questionable for sunday night's game. jaime collins is also practicing today for the first time in three weeks. no matter who is out there on sunday night they know the offense must be at its best going up against the top rated defense. >> they do everything well. it is pretty challenging to find things on tape. we have to be smart. >> he is 5 and 7 in his career against the broncos. they are the only team. five defeats come in denver. the super bowl mvp looks to change on sunday night.

because of the terror in other parts of the world like paris and belgium, shopping security is on the minds of thousands of people lining up to shop across massachusetts. still many people are in the bay state and they are out there and in fact they got an early start in the morning. >> now here is the latest from the south shore plaza. >> turkey and tv's seem to go hand in hand. to sooner had the thanksgiving meefg digested than the shoppers hit the stores for bargain black friday meals. >> we came over at 3:55 and came to the mall. >> the jingling of the bells and the rustle of the bags means it is in full affect. >> we got here at 1:00. it was still going and going

>> stores opened just after midnight. it was a mad house in here. >> parents spent the morning filling them with toys and with signs boasting discounts for 50 and 60% off the shoppers aren't forgetting to buy something nice for themselves. >> we have uggs boots and a lot of stuff in the car. >> toys, shoes, pants. >> and as shoppers worry about checking off their holiday lists, the security at the mall and outlet has been heightened. they said to expect more armed and undercover officers. in braomtree the general manager said they have extra security, but not because of any credible threats. >> we enhance it because it is christmas. all of the things you are hearing about really have been years. >> shoppers didn't seem to notice and didn't mind. >> we are having a ball. we are saving a lot of money too.

>> so the popular stores this morning we are told, target, macy's h h&m, pink and victoria's secret had the biggest lines. many of the shoppers were here for 12 hours before finally deciding to go home and many happy with their purchases. in braomtree, 7 news. >> not a lazy thing, but i say ship it to my house. we are talking about a cool down on the way for us tomorrow. dramatically cooler temperatures that come along with some showers. the forecast is next. >> at 5:30, the debate in massachusetts over the fate of syrian refugees after the terror in paris. our kelly o'hara was overseas and wently met with some receive -- and recently met with some of the receive few screes.

homefully -- hopefully you had a chance to get some rest. there is a bit of a breeze southwest. that is continuing to pump in the milder air that has been day. highs in the mid60s and we are right around 60 degrees in most spots. 56 in worcester. heading out this evening, maybe just a light jacket or sweater. it is not cold until we hit tomorrow morning and tomorrow things are back to normal. still a bit of a breeze in most locations. as i mentioned the wind is

coming out, south, southwest and it is continuing to pump the mild air. the heat we had will not escape back into the atmosphere very quickly. that means the temperatures will not free fall overnight. but that cold air is not far off from us. here is our front that is moving in and it is bringing rain showers, not snow showers. it looks like we will dry up before the temperatures get cold enough for snow. mostly cloudy overnight and the temps stay mild. they do fall through the night. 46 to 51 by daybreak tomorrow, and then through tomorrow those temperatures continue to fall. looks like we could actually see some 50-degree temperatures to start the day and then we are closer to the 40-degree mark as we head into the afternoon. here's why. there's the front that brings along the wet weather and then also pushes in some dryer, colder air behind it. believe it or not, 24 hours from now we could be 20 to 30

time of year. the clouds are sticking around throughout the night and we could see scattered activity as we make it into daybreak tomorrow. overzealous with where the wet weather ends up. rain for us. much needed rainfall i might add. only up to a 10th of an inch for most of us. just not a lot of rain. i call it a splash in the pan. we'll look for more significant rain as we get into the middle of next week. it is early to say how much rain next wednesday. you can see the mild temperatures there as well. maybe an inch for most, but we'll keep an eye on it. see you in a bit. caught on camera and a driver makes a dangerous move leading police on a chase in new york. as if the chase wasn't though, the driver was going the wrong way. it continued through the new jersey turnpike where police took him to the ground. you can see that right here. driver is facing multiple charges . what to do with those leftovers.
