11:16 pm
>> kim: 7news going one on one with bernie sanders. he sat down with our political editor andy hiller. as the race for the white house heats up, sanders is laying out his plan for america. >> adam: and that means not shying away from tough issues. andy hiller has more in tonight's hiller instinct. >> andy: given california and senator. >> hi. all presidential candidates seems clear: are we at war? >> no. we're not at war, but we are confronting a real threat to the united states. you're president. it's today. what do you do? >> our primary focus has got to be on bringing russia and france
11:17 pm
countries together to destroy isis. >> andy: foreign policy isn't supposed to be sanders' strength. for decades he's focused on social and economic inequality, but he doesn't agree that's a disadvantage. >> you go out and you talk to the american people. you go out and talk to the american people. what they will tell you is they're working longer hours for low wages. almost all new wealth and income going to the top 1%. they can't afford to send their kids to college. half of the people between 55 and 65 have zero saved for retirement. >> andy: which is the top issue, the economy or national security? >> i think we as a nation are smart enough to walk and chew bubble gum at the same time. welcome to the political revolution. >> andy: while polls show sanders could beat any republican in a general election, he's a long way in beating hillary clinton for the
11:18 pm
>> well, i think we win here in new hampshire. >> andy: do you have to win new hampshire? >> do you have to, i don't know. obviously new hampshire is very, very important. i think if we do well in iowa and do well in new hampshire, we have a path to victory. >> andy: no matter how or when it ends, bernie sanders' campaign has had an impact. he's motivated millions of voters and created most of the excitement on the democratic side. in fact, without him, the democrats wouldn't even have a rates. i'm andy hiller, and that's my instinct. >> adam: 11:20 on a friday night. a lot of you are probably thinking about making plans tomorrow. i don't think it's a stretch, bri to, say that you might make some plans outside tomorrow. >> bri: i definitely agree. if you have... i saw maybe somebody on twitter cleaning out the garage tomorrow, maybe you still need to put up some decorations for the holidays, we aren't getting our cues that it's almost christmas or even almost the end of the year from the scenery out there. we have many of us still waiting for those first few flakes, but nevertheless, we're just 20 days
11:19 pm
and we're wrapping up the year just after that. current temperatures 44 in boston. 36 in worcester. 31 in fitchburg and bedford, as well, and that's because that cloud deck that we had earlier this evening pulling apart those clouds are eroding. they're moving on out. calm winds out there, as well, as allowing for radiational cooling. that heat escaping back into the atmosphere, and so that will allow for those temperatures to continue to drop through the overnight hours. i think coldest suburban spots, we're talking mid to upper 20s, closer to the mid-30s as you get into boston, and into tomorrow, another boost in the temperatures, we're about 3 to 5 degrees above normal today. and into tomorrow, i think low 50s for some, and then even into the mid-50s for a couple of spots. high pressure is sliding in to keep things nice and dry. an we said it earlier, you don't have to shovel sunshine. so we have plenty of sunshine through the weekend. we're not talking about snow. highs tomorrow again right around 50 fors be. coastal areas stay a touch
11:20 pm
and then into sunday, we get another boost in those temperatures. i do think it's very possible for us to break the 60-degree mark in many spots on sunday. it's not out of the question with all of the sunshine. you see that heading through the time line. and also with very warm air upstairs. as long as that warm air can mix down closer to the surface, then we will see those temperatures climb as we get into sunday. now, tuesday, this is our next best chance of seeing any rain and it looks to be very slight chance, storm track staying to the south of us with this one. bulk of the storm stays south and then it heads out to sea. a very slight chance that a crazing of the storm system, which could bring some showers and also some wind to the coastal areas, 20 to 30% chance right now. most of us stay dry. we're not even seeing this. and even if we did get it head on, it wouldn't be snow. we don't have the cold air in place. pats' forecast, if this is the one game that you go to at gillette this season, you won the football lottery.
11:21 pm
for tailgating and then throughout the rest of the game, right around those upper 40s to near 50. so looking good. here's that 7 on 7 forecast. temperatures are not at average, as you can see on tuesday work 45, they're well above average throughout this entire week. weekend. thank you. >> kim: yes, the weather is a nice dress trafnlings it's been a tough couple days. i think sports is pretty nice right about now too, tray. >> trey: it's been a tough couple weeks for bill belichick dealing with injuries. one of the most talented players return sunday. and the red sox missed out on john lester one year ago. not this time around. david price inc.ing a -- inking next.

>> an now time for 7sports with trey daerr. >> i think i was saving all my postseason wins for the red sox. i think you guys will enjoy those. >> trey: david price hoping to take that and his $31 mill per year to the bank. price not shying away from his 2-7 playoff record and saying all the right things for a fan base bepts on getting things back to the top. price passing his physical today, officially inking his seven-year, $217 million deal. the new ace in boston will wear number 24, a la manny ramirez and dwight evans and looks to continue his dominating run at fenway park, where he holds a career 6-1 record with a 1.95 e.r.a. >> i do look forward to pitching here. i definitely enjoy it. i feel like home plate is right on top of you, and that's something that i talked about. that's not always the same in different ballparks. whether it's the back drop or just, you know, your depth perception of how you view home
11:25 pm
and home plate definitely feels close to me at fenway. i feel like that's definitely part of why i've thrown the ball well here for the most part. >> trey: price's reign as the highest-paid pitcher in baseball appears to be over after a few hours. zack greinke reaching a deal with the arizona diamondback, six years, $206 million, checking in at just over $34 million per year. not many nfl teams can survive the loss of four all-pro caliber players. that's the scenario new england faced at the end of week 12. they're hopeful one of those four will be back on the field this sunday. after missing the last four games with an unknown illness, jamie collins expected to return to the lineup sunday against philadelphia. collins was limited at practice for a third consecutive day and is officially listed as questionable as of friday's injury report. when the bruins drafted dougie hamilton in the first round of the 2011 draft, boston fans thought they had a top-line
