doing with the remains. dan? >> reporter: skeletal remains were taken from the sprawling home cement now closed from dusk to dawn as it always is. innest investigators not sure when those bones were taken but they did trace them to an apartment in hartford where they say the man told them he was using the bones for some bizarre religious practices. rights? >> reporter: police say this man told him he is a sanatoria priest and stole bones from this worcester mausoleum to use in ritual cult healing ceremonies. investigators say they found the family vault broken into several crypts opened up, panel and caskets damaged. the remains of three adults and two children gone. city workers cleaned up the mess mess. this is uncalled for i think the break in was first discovered a couple moths ago by a woman walking through the cement. investigators think the crypt had been broken into quite a bit earlier because the canes that

rusted where they had been cut and put back together to cover up the break in. investigators say a tipster told them he had human remains in his hartford, connecticut apartment. police say medina happily showed them the skeletons explaining he used the bones for rituals and the caribbean religion of sanatoria . disturbing the dead has to be the worst thing in the world. it's one thing that is off limits. you know, gravestones or anything like that. i think that's about the lowest thing you can do. bright new locks hang on the chains securing this mausoleum. city officials who operate the cement say they couldn't find any living relatives to notify. investigators say it's too early to say when the remains once resting here will be returned. no indication why he came from connecticut to this cement. he is waving extradition. he will come back to worcester to face charges. live in worcester, dan hausle, 7 news. >> anchor: still ahead on 7

radicalized and have been for quite some time. and the feds also said that the two were actually prepared for mass murder. >> anchor: federal investigators say syed farook and of that sheen malik were armed with an arsenal and ready to continue their killing spree. new evidence even showing they went to target practice. in a rare oval office address last night, you might have seen the president vowing to fight terror and uphold freedom in the u.s. >> anchor: did he get his message across? andy hiller digs deeper into the president's promise in tonight's hier instinct. four days after 14 people were killed in california in an attack, the president finally used the t bored. terrorism. this was an act of terror terrorism . >> reporter: as usual he never acknowledged there are radical muslim terrorists that want to kill us this. was as close as he could come .
6:05 pm
had gone down the dark pat of radicalization . then it sounded as if he wanted to declare war, but couldn't without congress. even though he routinely takes action without its approval. if congress believes as i do that we are at war with isil, it should go ahead and vote to authorize the continued use of military force against these terrorists. in the wake of san bernadino what the nation wants from the president is a plan. a strategy to succeed. but all he offered was more of the same. ed strategy that we are using now, air strikes, special forces and working with local forces who are fighting to regain control of their own country and it won't require us sending a new generation of americans overseas to fight and die for another decade on foreign soil . i hope that satisfies you and make you feel safer. but i worry we may need more to protect us than this presidential promise.
6:06 pm
is real. but we will overcome it . whoever decided the president should seek from the oval office made a mistake. the oval office should be reserved for the most significant and memorable speech speeches a president makes. but since president obama said nothing new, nothing will be remembered. i'm andy hiller and that's my instinct. >> reporter: our weather is finally turning cooler over the next couple of days.

the fun? the sometimes haphazard, never boring fun. the why can't it smell like this all the time fun. the learning the virtue of sharing fun. why let someone else have all the fun? that's no fun. unleash the power of dough.

>> anchor: another mild day, temperatures close to 60 degrees in many spots. pepperell made it to 57. waltham the same, 56 danvers. stoneham 56. 54 natick. where is the cold? certainly isn't here. 39 in bedford, 35 already in norwood, so we've cooled it off now that the clouds have come in in. i do expect those temperatures to level off, coest would probably be around 30 in some of the suburbs. elsewhere, maybe even around 40 on the cape. showers not far off. they are off of new jersey right now but tomorrow they come to us across southeast mass. when i say that, i mean from scituate south to cape cod, from providence south to new bedford of we might see a couple of sprinkles in boston. but elsewhere north and west of boston it stays relatively dry. no showers expected through southern new hampshire.
6:09 pm
this is a glancing shot of the weather system offshore. sprinkles in town all the way to providence and then just about from about rehobeth all the way to plymouth and chatham a couple showers coming our way. clouding over tonight, 30 to 40 light and variable wind and tomorrow much cooler. cloudy skies with a few showers southeast. 43 to 48. 7 on 7 forecast, a lot more in the way of cloudiness which is typical of this time of year in the 7 day forecast but look at all of the mild air. even at night. our temperatures barely touch freezing on several nights and then 7 days. i will see you at 10:00 and 11:00. coming to you live from gillette stadium where the patriots are set to go back to every drawing board in the building that they could find. mired in their first two game losing streak since 2012 and they have no one to blame but themselves following yesterday's disaster against philadelphia. the patriots blowing a 14 point lead for a second straight week

yesterday coming on special teams and area where the pats are usually nearly perfect. the botched drop kick, a botched block punt return for a town down and 83 yard punt return touchdown from darrin all errors proving too costly for the pats to overcome. it's never easy coming in under these circumstances and watching film. i think we learned a lot. i think there were some positive things to that game and obvious obviously some things that we didn't do so well so i got to take it in stride and just try to continue to improve, move it forward. in baseball dave dombrowski already has his ace, has his closer and even acquired a fourth out feeler but team president farce from done making moves on day number one of baseball's winter meetings dombrowski shift shipping off wade miley seattle in exchange for a pair of pitchers. now the primary exchange for
