she's whispering so men inside could not hear her. police say it was her quick action that led to them coming here and arresting one of the two suspects. >> they are on their way. she's hiding in her room display plea for help by 16-year-old who locked herself in second floor bedroom and called 9 one. alan got a panicked can call from his daughter telling him two men had kicked in a back door of their quincy home taped his wife who 6 months pregnant to chair and put a gun to her head demanding to know where the money was. >> she's very scary. she crying a lot. man ransacked home downstairs the teenager upstairs didn't hedges state and police were quickly on scene. she heard door smash she immediately called 911. they saw one suspect fleeing scene they gave chase. they were here pretty quickly within three blocks they caught up with him. police arrest kevin murphy and

this is an extremely popular restaurant among students. normally you'd see under class men in here for lunch and dinner. but do all that's been inside a half a dozen employees cleaning every inch of this place. >> the exhibit is cleaning house scrubbing restaurant top to bottom after dozens of people got sick from eating here. horrible stomach pains. someone went to hospital, i vs stuff like that. today health department confirms cause highly contagious nor ro virus. it spread from person to person contaminated surfaces. outside the closed restaurant tonight a half dozen filled garbage cans containing everything from mops to shelves. there is disfeks process that is recommended by the department of public health. boston college now says at least 80 students are suffering stomach issues after eating they cain restaurant. include several members of men's basketball team. i think everyone knows at least a few people who have been sick. the chain is trying to

foodborne e. coli cases that sickened dozens of chipotle customers across nine states. meanwhile city inspector have cited restaurant for three violations including hot meats that weren't hot enough, and allowing an employee to work while sick. i am upset that any establishment would allow somebody to be in facility who was sick and did not follow protocol. bc is advising healthy students to a wash their hands more often and avoid kids that got sick to prevent this virus spreading around campus yesterday was with 30, today is 80 who know what is tomorrow will be, right? >> at this point no word on when restaurant will reopen. but the word from commissioner of inspectional services is it will only happen once this place gets what he calls a clean bill of health. live tonight in brighton, tim caputo, 7 news night team. now from the night team, drivers blown away. the afternoon rush is slowed

she's been called hidden kennedy daughter rosemary was third child and sister of jfk. she lived a very different life then her high profile siblings. she inspired them to change way people think about those with disabilities. christa delcamp now with the story. >> kennedy girl. eunice and rosemary 19. the young man in the case is brother jack. that's one few times the world heard from rosemary. but contend siblings here would change way world thought about people with disabilities. so much of it all began because of you know a woman in my family who had very little intellectual capacity compared to you know my awning el jack oh bobby or my mom or my dad but had sort of hidden secret gift that only comes from god. like her older brothers rosemary was born at home in brookline. complications. rose was ready to deliver rosemary but the nurse held baby

for the doctor to arrive. and of course that deprived ross mary of oxygen. and so we link her intellectual disabilities to that moment. kate clifford larson wrote new best seller rosemary the hidden kennedy daughter. for years rosemary attended special schools but always traveled with the family. when her father became ambassador to england they all moved to london. this really was the best time of rosemary's life. but world war ii forced everyone home. and that was the beginning of the end for ross mary. she was sent to another convent school and she would sneak out at night in washington d.c. and they wouldn't know where she was, this frightened the family so joe decided that he needed to do something about it quickly. the decision, rosemary would lobotomy an operation on brain that doctors no longer perform. she had to learn to walk and talk and move function. afterwards. because she couldn't do

lobotomy went terribly wrong. her parents sent rosemary to live with nuns in wisconsin. rose did not see her daughter for 20 years after lobotomy her brother jack did visit if in flaen 58 when he was campaigning he went to wisconsin and made secret visit to his sister and her. >> eventually rosemary's sister eunice took over responsibility for her care in cause urging her action. eunice forced the administration to pay attention and pass legislation for families for individuals with disabilities. she went on to found the special olympics. rosemary's new new an anthony slieber is carrying out her legacy created best buddies a national organization that helps create opportunities for people with intellectual developmental disabilities. just like rosemary count and to participate in a whole variety of different ways you never know

she moved needle in big way. rosemary died in wisconsin in 2005. she was 82 years old. in spite of the tragedy that happened to rosemary, her legacy is this powerful accommodation and world that we live in now for people with disabilities. i've actually had the opportunity to ride in the best buddy's challenge. it's an annual bike ride. it dissolves thousands of rider boston to hyannis port. anthony slieber says it's important to her the group's big event take place there close to places where rosemary and her family spent happy times together. >> in the newsroom i'm christa delcamp, 7 news. >> and we're following more news tonight. someone in boston working toward common good bye leaving clothing hanging from trees on boston common. mittens scarves hats all tied to the trees with string. there's a large sign nearby. it says they are not lost instead, if you are stuck out in cold please take something you

a kind gesture that many in city say does not go unnoticed. >> i noticed this morning and made me tear reeyed to see good things in world going on. i stopped and read the sign. i saw couple people take few scarves and mitten it was great. it was really awesome. city says as long clothing isn't damaging treeses or park property they will leave it just where it is. the woman we interview there had made such a good point. all negativity we've all been hearing about and reporting on this. yes we need to be lifted up. so a little bit of balance maybe. but we've had a lot of nice holiday stories, pete. yeah we've. they've great all along. and temperatures today, well closer to normal. 45 in boston. we've reached that at midnight last night 40 in bed forked. 47 maya is in. despite fact we had moderate rain there. erp earlier in days clouds have upper hand in next couple days we will see brighter skies on thursday.

warmer late week in upper 30s now most everywhere with clouds hanging on. we have a lower 30s up through reading and ipswich now mid 30s. 34 in tyngsboro and 33 in sterling. auburn 34. 32 in shrewsbury. also we find 35 in foxboro. look attleboro 28 degrees might have break in overcast allowing cold to seep in where is is it not here. not across the central canada. look that all way to edmonton all above normal arctic air something near zero even with this below zero reading in yellow knife and zero in goose bay, that's above normal for them. our temperatures have been way above normal so far this december. and in fact, about six degrees above normal staying mild through mid december. no changes that we see dramatic changes that would shift the jet air. or that would make it for a soon. we did miss out on big one today just off shore bringing that

south shore and cape even had few sprinkles in boston. clouds and clouds and more clouds. tomorrow they will struck they drift underneath an inversion a warm layer of air in middle atmosphere. sun can't fry through them because it's too weak. what you see is what you get. gray sky. however these are weird clouds sometimes they allow for little gaps to open up sometimes we have sunshine bleeding through from time to time. all is no the lost. thursday we have a front moving in. it's weakening all the while. as it comes through though on thursday morning it may trigger a shower. then, it mixes in some sunshine. and we get milder. just like that we turn it around from 40s into the 50s on thursday. middle 50s and this should hold into the weekend too. a warm spell. that's very atypical of december. normal high is 44. we'll hover in mid 50s and maybe upper 50s. typically we have about a 25 to 40 percent chance a white christmas in boston on south shore. metro west 40 to 50 percent.

it's the show that started it all. chicago fire continues to sizzle. it's red howed success leading to two nbc spin offs. all began with ladder 51. we're going doing our best to honor craft, tree profession with honest stories. honest stories and heart stopping action. i spent time on location with the actors in chicago. there's no cgi on our show. but there are some special effects secrets. boy this car is already in rough shape. but wait until you see what we're about b. to do to it. what we use for fire propane in this car we have a rigged with two propane bars. we have smoke machine, a smoker that's coming up under the hood. steve is the show's fire and safety expert. and was a real firefighter in chicago for 36 years. the pro bain bars in car have a pilot light attached.
