fans stay safe teens in trouble. a 16-year-old girl is tied to a chair with a gun to her face over a boy. a state vehicle hit her car but her claim hit a roadblock. >> so she asked us to solve it 7. breaking news first at 111:00, two firefighters hurt after a recovery attempt at a downtown crossing. a woman jumped on the tracks. >> when the firefighters tried to get to her, their equipment malfunctioned and they got shocked. >> reporter: adam, they tell us the woman was actually trespassing when she was hit and killed by the train. it was during the recovery operation that the firefighters ran into danger. intense moments at the downtown crossing when a woman is hit and killed by a red light train. two firefighters were hurt as they were testing the third rail so they could try to get to the woman.

have to put a clamp on the third rail and to confirm the power is shut down and that's what they did, there was a slight shock but they're fine. >> reporter: they used another machine to make sure the power was indeed off to remove the woman's woman's body. >> man: they're well trained. safety first, it has to be confirmed by three people on the team by the fire department and even then, it's tested that it's shut down before anyone enters. >> reporter: the incident, shutting down the red light leaving many to take shuttle buses and long lines. >> woman: this is really frustrating, i'm trying to get to my kids and my husband. this is too much. i just got out of work and now i have to walk all the way down here just to get home. >> woman: it's a little crazy but what are you going to do. >> reporter: the firefighters were taken to the hospital as a

some breaking news we're following right now. police are investigating a deadly shooting in door chester tonight. this happened on southern avenue. one person was rushed to the hospital but then later died. no arrests have been made. the night team at fenway park where they're taking steps to help keep fans safe at home. it was last season, you recall, a fan was badly hurt when she was hit by a foul ball and now major league baseballs are now recommending parks add more safety netting. >> reporter: when you guys come to fenway park, you're expecting to watch baseball and have a good time. ambulance. that's happened before and safer. the red sox are the first team to agree to add more netting in the dugouts to make sure fans don't get hurt.

someone getting hurt, that's what you should do. >> man: i like the nets. >> reporter: those nets will likely prevent injuries like the one suffered by tanya. she was nearly killed last june. her and her son were sitting near the dugout in a section that was not protected by netting. some fans thinking that it's going to make the seats less desirable. >> man: it's a close call. it's going to make a different view but it's going to add a lot of safety. if you're not paying attention and you're sitting in those seats, you're at risk >> reporter: they say the club is in the process of getting new designs and reaching out to ticket holders most affected by the changes. he understands the netting will now cover the area where tanya was sitting so something like this is unlikely to happen again.

that they suffered was a stimulus to provide extra netting, at least something good will come out of her injuries and suffering. those changes likely to go into effect before next season begins. at this point, the red sox have not outlined a time line just yet. trouble in plainville. they're facing serious charges. police say they tied up a classmate and threatened to shoot her during a party. kim is in plainville with why police say they did this. >> reporter: well, adam, you could call this teenage drama but this all happened over a boy. this weapon plainville police say, was held to the head of a teenage girl by a 15-year-old girl at a house party last month. investigators say another 15-year-old girl videotaped the whole thing. it happened here, at the washington street apartment of these three 18-year-olds.

people were drinking and things escalated. when one girl asked mother if she was dating her ex boyfriend. when the answer was yes, records show the 15-year-old suspect pushed the 16-year-old victim into a chair and hand cuffed her then pointed this gun and said ee any me nin miney mo, i'm going to shoot you in the head. turns out it was a replica of a hand gun but the victim didn't know that and pleaded to let her go. a friend of the victim ran down to the dunkin donuts to the police. they went to the party spot and found weapons, ammunition, stun guns, and alcohol. the manager of the complex said he promptly kicked the tenants out. the two suspects are in police custody. they have a hearing tomorrow

a grave situation where earlier this week a man was arrested and accused of taking bones from a cemetery. investigators say they discovered more bones are missing. >> reporter: and kim, it was a three skeletal remains this second time. this was all as police were investigating the break in at the first mausoleum break in. they discovered a second one was broken into and it was all the same method and went undetected for weeks. new locks and chains around mausoleum doors in wister. police say there was a second break in and three more skeletal remains were taken. >> man: there's an organized cult out there that are actively looking for human remains. >> reporter: he claims he's private and police arrested him

accident with someone driving a state owned vehicle says she hit a roadblock when it came time to fix her car. she got nowhere after filing an insurance claim with the state. >> she never received the paper work she was promised and needed. so she reached out to solve it 7. >> reporter: heavy traffic, road construction, and foul weather are all things amanda is used to dealing with. >> woman: i drive constantly, every single day, all day long. >> reporter: this social worker spends a lot of time behind the wheel both for her job and trips to visit her family. >> woman: when i was driving to go see my mom on mother's day. >> reporter: shortly after leaving her house, the vehicle next to her starting coming over into her lane. >> woman: i was right there screaming out the window and she just kept coming, tore my mirror off. >> reporter: amanda and the other driver pulled over. the police arrived and filled out a report.

vehicle that hit her car, she and her insurance company had to file a claim, which they did. about a month later she received an e-mail. >> woman: they received my claim and they would hand it off and i would get a courtesy letter that was sent to the agency involved. >> reporter: she said that letter never came so she called the attorney general's office and didn't hear back and neither did her insurance company. >> woman: having someone get hit and their mirror taken off isn't a big deal for them but it really affects my life. >> reporter: her claim was stuck in a virtual traffic jam. unsure of where to turn next, she decided to reach out to solve it 7. we looked into amanda's problem, e-mailed the attorney general's office and explained the situation. a week later, amanda received the letter she had been waiting for. >> woman: then i was finally connected to the agency and that wouldn't have happened without you guys.

nothing like that. look at the numbers right now. 44 in boston, 47 in new bedford, they haven't dropped off at all. in fact, they've picked up a couple of degrees the last several hours. that may be the case in the morning hours. close to 50 by day break tomorrow. also coming in, a little bit of patchy fog and spotty drizzle. i can't rule out the passing showers that are moving into pennsylvania right now. those will swing on through early tomorrow morning. other than that, we deal with a quiet day tomorrow. i expect breaks of sun in the afternoon and any rain we get is light. we're talking a few hundredths inches of rain. tomorrow afternoon, mixture of sun and clouds with temperatures jumping up into the mid to upper 50s. one forecast model, just a couple of hundredths of an inch there. you get the picture here. a little bit of a damp start

we're dry and mild for the afternoon. the temperatures in the low to middle 40s now, rising up by day break tomorrow. a shower moving on through. otherwise, dry and mild in the afternoon. 54 to 58 degrees. winds have been very active with a lot of heavy mountain snow and heavy sets of rain. and you're beginning to see another storm system approach in the pacific northwest. eventually it's going to work all the way across the country and give us an opportunity for rain on monday. before we get to that, mild weather continuing. one tricky part of the forecast for sunday, where exactly this front is going to set on up across new england. north of this front, 40 to near 50s which isn't bad this time of year, but south of the front, that's where we hold temperatures 50s plus. those will be the days you have
