neighbors and witnesses who live at the apartment complex say they have seen the man that police arrested here before. kristi johnson was a mother of three, friends say while she was trying to get her life back on track she was always ready to help her friend and old neighbor peter pitari who lived here in a first floor revere apartment . she cooks for him and takes care of him because all he was getting was meals on wheel before when kristi wasn't coming around. but thursday night shots rang out . all of a sudden i heard about five loud pops . >> anchor: killing kristi, 66 66-year-old peter who friends called pops and leaving billy quill, crist ooh's former boyfriend fighting for his life . it's a mess. just terrible. it's violent . >> reporter: police spent hours investigating the scene in revere then arrested a 36 36-year-old lynn man friday afternoon, charging him with the two murders. i'm terrible. i haven't slept because i know these people. it's very hard . >> reporter: friends say kristi was a great mom and

surprisingly it was pretty scary for people. the bomb squad was called in to make sure that this thing wasn't going to just go off. kimberly becomeman live in pelham to tell us more about kimberly? adam. police say the in a an who dropped it off didn't give his name or say where he was from. he just left a rocket and then took off. this is the rocket that launched a major police response. it all began after a contractor found what looked like a small missile lodged between two basement walls in a home he was renovating. then decided to drop it off at this pelham, new hampshire gun store . they called us and said someone dropped off an i extent that they would like our officers to look at. the officers did not know what they were going down to look at . when police arrived to hammer firearms and saw the four foot long, four inches wide object, they snapped some pictures and sent them to the nashua bomb squad. at first they thought it

than enough wrapping paper. >> anchor: a couple of weeks away from christmas and new years does not feel like it. we've had a month full of warm days so far averaging about 7 degrees above the average. the month of december, the after high is 43 degrees in the city of boston. staying mild as you go through the next seven days. at least above the averages over overall here. 5 was the high in town earlier this afternoon. 60 plymouth. we had 61 taunton, 54 in worcester. so well above the average high. in fact we're still above the average high in boston at 50 degrees right now. 44 in norwood. 35 nashua, new hampshire. 35 in fitchburg of we've seen some of these temperatures slide back into the 30's in very light winds. we've also seen some fog form. visibility reduced at times a mile or two up there in northern worcester currently and southern new hampshire and the rev of us seeing patchy fog developing overnight tonight. otherwise not much going on. we'll have batches of clouds to mix in with that sunshine

and could have a little while to take to burn off the fog first thing in the morning. but we'll do so in the temperatures once again jumping 55 to 60 degrees. so it's another mild day out there although on sunday we start to change up the pattern a bit here as winds turn back out of the east northeast. so there is a going to be a back through. you know the wind off the water means it's not going to be as warm. north of that front 40's to near 50 degrees. we'll be north of that front coming in here on sunday. so sunday afternoon i don't think it gets out of the upper 40's in the city of boston. mid to upper 40's southern and a half. some lower 50's south and effort west of the city but overall a cooler day i'm cloudier day an even a couple sprinkles or patch of drizzle not out of the question. the best chance to see some steadier rain and some gustier showers. that will arrive monday late in the day and then to monday night as this area low pressure will continue to work toward the great lakes and there is going to be a line of some gusty showers that will have to swing on through here late monday and into monday night.
