stoughton now after an elderly man is hit and killed while try trying to cross the street. tonight the driver is facing some serious charges. john cuoco live for news set on with what we're learning about that crash. john? >> reporter: according to the district attorney's office that driver was allegedly on drugs when he hit around kill a man here in stoughton in the area of this christmas tree lawn on park street at around 8:30 friday night. the victim is 71 years old from stoughton while the driver is 33 from taunton of early evidence from the d.a.'s office suggests the driver had been delivering pizza when the accident happened happened. the victim was taken to the hospital but didn't survive. the suspect has been arrested for operating under the influence of drugs causing death and is expected in court monday morning. for now though, this investigation is continuing. live in stoughton, john cuoco, 7 news. >> anchor: developing tonight after two weeks of intense talks world leaders and paris agreed

the toys for tots event took place at florian hall in dorchester. you can see a pile of toys there collected which the organization will donate to kids. >> anchor: hundreds of people gathering for the 16th annual christmas at fenway event today. a number of red sox players were on hand posing for pictures with some of the fans there even little fans and santa clause made an appearance. now fans were able to take part in a number activities all around the ballpark. they have a train out there . a great time to be outside to enjoy something like that. christmas event. doesn't feel like christmas . >> anchor: feels like christmas in july . >> reporter: it feels like we should be playing baseball at fenway, right? this time laugh year we had almost three informs of snow already. not on the ground but we had seen it by this point. 8 and a half inches for worcester still waiting for on our flakes in many locations. we had flurries in boston and other areas earlier this career but as far as measurable snowfall goes, yeah, we're dealing with these numbers break breaking the six thee degree mark in many spots today. 62 for a high in norwood. 55 in worcester around temperatures still mild at this point as well.

bedford at 44, 42 norwood but still at 51 for both worcester and boston and with the clouds moving in for all night tonight and into tomorrow it will keep those temperatures fairly mild. so looking ahead through the time line, here comes the clouds clouds. we're all clouded over by about 11:00 or midnight tonight. can't rule out potential for seeing some spotty drizzle or light showers into tomorrow as well maybe some spots redevelop redeveloping with some fog. but luck at what happens to our temperatures. clouds kind of tuck us in for tonight, we stay mild, dropping into the low 40's in some spots, mid 40's for boston and then into tomorrow some colder air dropping in from the north. keeps those temperatures a touch on the cool side. still before normal for this time of year, but this is what we call a back door cold front so here comes the colder air coming from the east northeast and north of the front 40 as to 50 degrees. south of it, 60 plus once again that. mild air is still there, it just has a hard time working itself north tomorrow. so here is a look at though high highs tomorrow.

north of boston south of boston southeastern mass cape cod looks likely to even some mid 50's. now we're watching a couple areas with storms. this one down in texas will be our next shot at some rainfall and it even prompt a tornado warning earlier this evening. here we go with the time line. takes a while for it to get here and once again we're on the warm side of this. so not meaning any snow for us but it does bring us some rainfall as we head too late monday overnight monday into very early tuesday morning. just how much rainfall? looks like about a half inch. maybe up to an inch and we can't rule out the potential for some rumbles of thunder. again, nothing severe but it could happen so if you see a flash in the sky don't be too surprised. that is our best chance for that rainfall again overnight monday into early tuesday. but then dry. so where is winter? these temperatures staying above normal. it is meteorological winter but we're still waiting for the winter solstice and for now we're in this pattern where we're on the mild side but the
